Update 5.1.0U1b to 5.5 vCenter fails (error 1603)
I keep getting errors when trying to install vCenter 5.5 Single Sign-On which translates a restore.
I tried with a Simple installation and custom installation.
I tried already to remove the CIS folder and install Vmware-python in the requirements folder and check the value of FqdnIp in the registry.
Check the log, I found the error 1603 in it.
OS: Windows 2008 R2 SP1 Std.
DB: MS SQL 2008 R2 SP2 Std.
Thank you very much for your help!
Hi Rapster,
1. the journal indicates that the FqdnIp registry key has no value in this document, you would confirm please?
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VMware, Inc. \VMware Infrastructure\SSOServer\FqdnIp.
Please also attached the certificate SSL SSO to see what value is there to object and subject ALT name
2. If your SSO 5.1 was installed after joining a domain, it seems that Yes, based on the journal, for example, vc. SOFTWERK.local, then the registry should have value of
VC. key FqdnIp SOFTWERK.local.
Please check the following points if SSO 5.1 was installed with machine joined to a domain:
1 FqdnIp registry key has a correct value of the domain COMPLETE (for example the vc. SOFTWERK.local)
2. make sure SSO SSL certificate has same FQDN in object / subject Alt name
3 If the CIS under %ProgramData%\VMware folder exists, delete or rename the folder CIS
4. repeat the upgrade of SSO
Thank you.

I tried to update my iPad for iOS 9.3.4 iOS 9.3.5 directly since the latest version of iTunes on Macbook Pro running the latest update of El Capitan. I tried the update of the iPad without iTunes, but he failed and showed the photo to connect to iTunes.
The update failed to halfway through (don't remember the exact message) so I unplugged the iPad, restarted iTunes, and tried the update, but the update constantly fails with the message "an unknown error has occurred (52). I also tried via iTunes on my iMac running Yosemite, but has not as well.
I did all the things listed here:

The iPad was working fine before the update attempt.
Is there than anything left to try? This iOS update broken my iPad?
Have you tried to put the iPad into recovery mode?

After scoring in Skype to find an available button update, I clicked on it, only to have the update crash with an error code 1603.
I tried the Fix suggested itinerary It, uninstall Skype, with difficulty it and then put it back, but did not work.
Pop up with an error box saying "KEY NOT VALID for USE in SPECIFIED STATE."
Using Vista 32, but don't see how that could be a problem because Skype ran perfectly before the update.
Run the following program, restart, then try to update Skype again.

My system (Vista 32-bit SP2) tried to install update KB980248 for several weeks, but I keep getting error code 80073712. I tried to follow the directions on the site by running the system preparation tool update... did not work. Then I tried to go back to a restore point and try the update again. Yet once, didn't. I went back several restore points, but it has always failed. I don't have an installation DVD, because it came with Vista preloaded.

Vista SP2 Installation fails (error 800706BE Code) via Windows Update
I am running Windows Vista Business (32-bit) SP1 and I noticed that Vista SP2 is available for download by manually checking in Windows Update last night. After having seen that it is a large download (more), I started the download, left my PC and left the House. When I got home, my screensaver was away and when I attamped my password to disable the screen saver and see where I was in the process of updating, my password did not work. Then I did a hard reboot but then could not connect under my admin user account. I've then logged in as my wife (standard user - no password) and went to Windows Update where I noticed that the SP2 for Vista Installation fails (error 800706BE Code). I spent most of last night and all today so far tried to solve this problem. There are several problems here... When I click on "Install" in Windows Update, I get a message of "is not necessary: 1 update" (even when I look in the installed updates it says that the update failed). If it is not necessary, then why is it listed as an important update that must be installed? Endless loop... In addition, I'm not a password reset for my connection because I have a password saved on a flash drive. Then I tried using all the older passwords that I remembered and none worked. Shift caps lock was not on either. I've logged in as my wife, went to the Microsoft Download page and eventually find the link to download the standalone version of SP2 Vsita, but after downloading the massive file, I didn't have the right to install it because I can not connect as an adminstator!
(sigh) Can someone please help with this? Thank you
Naveen,
Thank you very much for your suggestions! Your suggestion of restarting, press F8 and choose "repair your computer" worked. I was able to do a system restore and I chose a date where my old password was still in use (I had just been invited to change a few days before I tried to download Vista SP2). In addition to losing my cookies and automatically complete IE8 - everything is back to normal. I have not yet tried a 2nd try to SP2, and I'm very hesitant to do it now!
Thank you once again!
