Update continues
my computer crashed, and all that I did, it was not good, so I decided to format and reload windows XP. As it was a disk that came with the PC and has about 5 years old I expect service packs and updates, but I can't turn on my PC without doing some updates. It is every time and lasts for weeks. Here is an example of some updates on a single day. Is this normal or is it the same updates made over and over again?

In particular windows security updates for example updating security for windows vista (KB2378111) error code: 800719E4. With a lot more updates, they continue to fail, but only a couple succeed. When starting my computer in general goes to screen installation of updates. He finished going through step 1 and 2, but never seems to complete step 3 and remains on full where for at least 5 minutes. Then shows that updates were not properly before. Restoration of the changes. This continues to happen frequently now, and after having tried to restart my computer or install a little at a time still does not solve the problem. Also, I tried to use the troubleshooting solutions but did not have much. Don't know what else to do?
My laptop runs Windows Vista Home premium: service pack 1: 32-bit operating system type.

Automatic updates continually do not install
the update has started very well, but was murdered on stage three for a few days. the computer continues to restart on every two seconds, but remains always on the third stage.
I tried to stop restarting the computer snd it but the same screen comes up. It does not allow me to go to the main screen, or the sign in screen
Please help someone, it's not my computer and I don't know what to do
The update is not installed successfully, you receive a message, and the computer restarts when you try to install an update in Windows Vista
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/949358When you try to install an update from Windows Update on a computer that is running Windows Vista, you may receive the following message: Configuring updates step 3 of 3. 0% complete
After you receive this message, the computer returns to the screen that displays the same message. In addition, the update is not installed successfully, and the computer restarts.I guess that in this case, we can write about "Vista".

Optional update continues to display after installation
I have a particular update I installed and appears in the history of the update installed successfully, but continues to display in windows update. If I try to install it again it fails.
The update is Realtek - network - Realtek RTL8101E Family PCI-E FE NIC.
This problem occurs only with this particular update.
Thanks for your help.Hi Supernano,
The best way to deal with that is to go in the updates, make a right click on the particular update, then select "Hide update". That removes it from the list.

Problems with 2 updates continually want to download, KB2572073 and KB2518864.
Hello
Check the forums I see I'm not the only person today to have updates "KB2572073" and "KB2518864" continually want to install on my xp professional OS. When I check my editing history, he said that they succeeded, and before I caught I don't day these including several times each. When I checked my control panel "remove or add programs" I can't see them not listed... but when I did a search for files on my pc and they arise records and list details notebook them downloaded successfully.
I hope that that goes resolved soon with possibly a patch or something. Meanwhile, I would like to know if it is safe to ignore notifications for these 2 updates in particular? I am definitely going to install any other those who show up as my pc has already.
Thank you
Hi KathyLudlow,

Windows Update continues to download and install the security patch
Fix security, KB2538242 continues to be downloaded and installed. History of the update is not the list of people, but made of add/remove programs. Patch has been since 23 / 04/11 to 07.11/11. Ran online antivirus, Malware scans, complete scandisk at startup scans yet still suggests. Finally hid the security fix but, don't know if I would have. I / E 9 was also installed but not compatible bavec scanners online. Had to withdraw and return to I / E 8.

My addons (top right of firefox) button is continuously green and swirling. No idea why? Also, I use FF 12.0 and all my addons are hidden. How can I fix these problems?
No, it's ok - new versions of firefox only use configuration files for extensions that are present in your profile folder. glad you could get it sorted!
