My Windows 7 Home Premium hangs (blue screen) to the 'Starting Windows' screen after reboot. And the reason for the rebate to zero (and crash) is updated to Windows "HP Mobile Data Protection Sensor" . I did hidden, but now I need to install drivers for my webcam and every time that I turn on "automatic driver installation" update of windows server, it installs not only the WebCam drivers, but also this «HP Mobile Data Protection Sensor» update Which brings me to the crash at the next restart of Windows. • A security update (KB2584146) has been installed. It shows "installed successfully." Yet, whenever I have re-boot or run Micrsoft update, it offers this update again. Win XP SP3 (Build 2600).

A security update (KB2584146) has been installed. After installation, it shows properly "installed". Yet, whenever I have re-boot or run Micrsoft update, it offers this update again. It shows also 'successful' in the history of my Microsaoft update. Win XP SP3 (Build 2600).

It's an old update. Wonder why you just get it now.

    First try this...
Click Start > run > type chkdsk/r > press OK or press the Enter key. A cmd window will appear telling you that the volume is in use and you want to plan its next reboot. Type y and press ENTER. Then restart.
Try to install the update and check that it installed properly by doing another analysis of Windows Update.

    If this does not do...
Download the update manually, on your desktop to the http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=28608.
Click Start > run > Browse. In the Browse dialog box, double-click WindowsXP-KB2584146 - x 86 - ENU.exe. The box open term should have the path now. Add a space and an x at the end.
Press OK or press the Enter key.
You will get a dialog box with the path to your desktop already filled.
After Office add a slash and the name of the folder so that we end up with something like C:\Documents and Settings\\Desktop\KB2584146.
Go to this folder, and then in the SP3GDR folder.
    You can see packager.exe.
    Right-click to copy.
In the box to run, type dllcache, then press on enter.
Paste the file in there, replacing the one already there.
In the run box, type system32, then press on enter.
Paste the file there too by crushing the already there.
Is there a lot of folder there. Make sure you do not paste in a subfolder. You want to the root of system32.

Go to Windows Update and confirm that it no longer wants to install.

    Help!

    Hi ad391970,

The reason for updates make changes on the computer would be some conflicting third-party programs or there might be a corruption in the Windows Update components.

I suggest that you try to install updates by disabling the third-party program conflict and check if it works.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Perform the check and the clean boot if you have the problem.

    1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    User account control permission

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.

    2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.

    3. under Selective startup, clear the check box load startup items.

    4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.

    5. click on OK.

    6. When you are prompted, click on restart.

    7. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.

If the problem is resolved to check what is the cause of the problem, referring to the link given below:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

On the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

When you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

If the step above does not resolve the issue updates suggest that you try to reset the component of windows update and check if it works.

Check out the link below to find out how to reset the windows component update

How to reset the Windows Update components?

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/971058

If the step above does not resolve the question suggests that you check in a new user account if you are faced with a similar question. If a face similar to a new user account which means your other user account has been corrupted.

See the link below for screw a corrupt user profile.

Difficulty of a corrupted user profile

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/fix-a-corrupted-user-profile

  • Can't use Firefox once after reboot my Mac, then he won't.

After reboot or a total, followed by the setting stop running, I get use of Firefox. Once I close out of it, I can't hire back in.
I checked and updated Firefox, no help. I am currently running Yosemite on my Mac.

I tried a Force Quit on Firefox. Notice that the small point under the Firefox icon is missing. So, I then clicked on the Firefox icon and it has jumped up and down. Alto! I can now engage Firefox without having to restart my computer. So does that mean Firefox did not leave on its own? And why all of a sudden start. Inquiring minds. If with that I seem to be OK once more. How weird.

  • Gel downloads Firefox on 1 second after, after reboot download again (safe mode)

This is starting to happen after the update from 28 to 32 (not sure about 28).

    1. download whatever it is
2 download is complete, the Download Manager (default or any plugin) still have this file fixed on 1 second
    3. I can't cancel, press 'x' pause.
    4. when I leave Firefox it asks, "cancel 2 downloads?
    4. after reboot it starts to download this file again. But now I can cancel it.

Tried in safe mode, same result.
Downloads are kept in the downloads.json, I can remove them manually to prevent the download again after the reboot.

  • 29 Firefox: toolbar guard reset after reboot

    Hello

I use Firefox 29 since the first beta, and I did several customization menu. But if I take the 'Star + favorite' icon to the next restart I find in its default location (that is, before the menu button).
Other items added to the toolbar disappear after reboot as well.

I tried to return to default and the problem persists.

I also tried to delete the localstore.rdf file and the problem remains.

The problem is somehow similar to the following

    https://Bugzilla.Mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=854226

I prefer not to create a new profile since I many extensions, so I ask if there is another file, containing these customizations, what I could try to remove it.

    Thank you.

Underpass, I'm sure you're problem is caused by one of your modules.

Can you try to pin-point the offending module? I would suggest the following method:

    1. Cut the half of your add-ons (disable in the Add-ons Manager) and restart Firefox.
    2. If the problem is still there, turn off half of the other add-ons and restart Firefox.
    3. Continue step 2 as long as you can reproduce the problem.
    4. If the problem in not there anymore, the offending module is among the list you just disabled and should be easier to find.

    Thank you!
