  • Why I repeatedly get a security update for Windows Vista for systems (KB2676562) and update for Windows Vista (KB2679255) focused on the x 64 even after that both have been installed successfully?

update of security (KB2676562) has already been correctly installed 21 times, began towards the end of May.  Update for Windows Vista (KB2679255) was successfully installed 35 times, he began in mid-April.  These two continue to update themselves every day and do it at least twice a day, back to back.  It is very frustrating to have to deal with that and makes me think that something may be a problem with my computer.  I had heard of registry cleaners is not not a good thing to use, if recently I not unhooked my registry free cleaner.  I hope that it has not caused my computer to lose any registry key values.  Does anyone know a possible solution or what I need to do? "Hello everyone, I'd like to update the BIOS on my satellite A110-276 and the two choices are 'OS Independent' and ' Windows Vista 32 bit. I have Windows 7 32 bit on this laptop. If I choose "OS Independent" it tells me ' Bios is NOT compatible for portable computers with Windows Vista! "and if I choose" Windows Vista 32 bit ' he reads "Bios is only compatible for portable computers with Windows Vista!

Exclamation points are Toshiba, not me ;)

So I am stuffed and I need to stay with my current BIOS, or can, I use Windows Vista BIOS update?

Thanks to anyone who can help!

    Hello

First question; Why do you update the BIOS?
Do you want to update only to have a newer version?
If your Windows 7 is working well, then a BIOS update is not necessary.

Otherwise, install Vista OS to Toshiba Recovery (if available) disk, the BIOS update and then change to Win 7 ;)

I've updated three of my computers from Windows XP Professional for Window 7 Professional using kits of DVD I bought. I have three sets of Window 7 professional DVD in my possession. No problem - but you might want to wait, if your existing DVD is the original version, because a new will have SP1 integrated, so it'll even some hassles :)

  • Update for Windows Vista (32-bit) does not always update

Is there anyone who knows the same question.  I'm at the point where I'm done.  I spent too many unproductive hours on it, and Microsoft does not seem to care enough to post a fix.
