Update for Windows 7 (64 bit) deleted the saved game files. How to recover files?

Over the past two days, Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit updated. I have many files of saved game that suddenly disappeared. I tried to look for them, but none have been found. Someone else has had this problem with files deleted after an update, and nobody knows how to recover?
