Update for Windows XP (KB2724197) security installation failure

This update does not install several times in recent days.

Anyone help solve this problem?

I have Windows XP with all updates - outside of it.

Today, I got a blue screen "Stop", for the first time for a couple of years - maybe this is related somehow?

Ian

There is a problem with your video card:
RADEON X 600 256 MB HyperMemory Secondary PCI\VEN_1002 & DEV_5B72 & SUBSYS_06031002 & REV_00\4 & 1603E009 & 0 & 0108 this device cannot start.

Please download a new set of drivers from the website of the manufacturer of the PC and install.

I did not work with Startups in XP recently-, but there seems to be a lot of strange things beginning with XP.  I would say running some of these free scans in case your current coverage is compromised: http://www.carrona.org/malware.html

If that is not the problem - so I would suggest running the Verifier in accordance with these instructions: http://www.carrona.org/verifier.html

    How to solve this problem?

    Hello

    Follow these methods.

Method 1: Follow the steps in the article.

The problems with the installation of Vista updates
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/troubleshoot-problems-with-installing-updates

Method 2: You can temporarily disable your antivirus and then try to install the update.
    Disable the antivirus software
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/disable-antivirus-software
Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Method 3: Follow these steps.

Step 1: If the methods above do not help, we can put the computer in a clean boot state, and then install the update manually.

To help solve the problems, you can start Windows Vista by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

    Step 2:
Now, to install the update manually.

If you use a 32-bit computer, download and install this update.
