Recovery CD error on Equium - lack of NTFS. SYS
Hello
This is my first post on this forum. I have a Toshiba Equium, around the age of 18 months. Had a problem with the windows XP operating system, so tried using the recovery disk. I chose the simple option and the ghost utility seems to work until you re - start. He then told me that I have a missing or damaged file.
first missing file is ISAPNP. SYS if I copy it from a XP disc it then tells me that NTFS. SYS is missing. I do not think it is a problem of recovery process, it maybe the hard drive. I used FDISK to format.
Does anyone have nay other suggestions
Thank you for your time
KeV
Hello Kev
It will be interesting to know what model of laptop you have. In any case, if the HARD drive is not defective and that the recovery image can be installed at the end everything must work well.
It is not easy to say what the problem is here, but if possible try to get the second HARD drive and again check the recovery procedure. If everything works well, you will know what the problem was.
Let us know how you are going to manage this issue.

NTFS.sys & isapnp.sys lack on Equium A60
My Equium A60 has recently suffered from significant engine failure, insofar as it now does not trigger the same Windows startup. When it is turned on the message "system32/drivers/NTFS.sys" or system32/drivers/isapnp.sys are missing or damaged.
A message tells me to use the Windows repair feature on my Windows installation cd, but since Windows was preinstalled I have no way to do this. I was wondering if someone could give advice beyond re-formatting the hard drive.

I'm sure that one of your friends has facilities Microsoft WXP CD. You can borrow and use the repair option.

Equium A60 - missing or corrupt ntfs.sys, please run the installation program
When starting my Equium A60 I get the answer "ntfs.sys missing or damaged please run.
When I run the toshiba recovery still disc, it does not cure it and I tried to boot from xp cd and it says no bootable cd in the device.
I remember that this issue has already been discussed in different threads here in the forum.
Why you n t use the advanced search option?OK I did and found these two threads:
http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=24051http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=24292
I would be grateful for feedback!

I can't open my Dungeon of docs word any error message "user lacks access privileges.
I can't open my imported word docs Dungeon receive an error message 'user lacks access privileges' ideas of what she may be contacting Apple and they tried a lot of things and tell Microsoft that the docs are corrupt and nothing wrong with the word 2016.
More info, please.
When you say that it is "any word docs", do you mean another user on the same Mac, another Mac, an earlier version of Mac OS X, an earlier version of Word, another type of computer, from another type processor, or something else?
These documents are currently stored in your Documents folder, into another directory user on an external drive, on a server, or elsewhere?
You do it on El Capitan? What version of 10.11.x?
Your copy of the word 2016 is perfectly up to date?

ERROR: ORACLE prepare error: ORA-00936: lack of expression
Hello
I am required to run the 'pass-through' Oracle SQL, to extract data from tables in the SAS for processing and handling. My code (attached) reads and writes (runs) but with zero records to test first. I can't get beyond the error to prepare.
The request is just like other queries that seem to work, but I can't get past this prepare error. I have no other access to individauls with an adequate knowledge of the PL SQL and as a last stop hoped others in the forum could quickly identify the source of the error.
Thank you very much in advance for any help.
Jeff

Hello
I studied a bit in the web and the question could be a malfunction of the memory module. I recommend checking out the RAM modules.
-
I just download Microsoft Office 2010 Professional and then turns off the computer with XP operating system. Once I turned on the computer I got the following message:
Windows could not start because the following file is missing or damaged;
System32\Drivers\Ntfs.sys
You can try to repair this file by starting Windows Setup using the original Setup CD
Select 'r' in the first screen to start repair.
Then, I started the computer with the Original installation CD and press 'r' by following the instructions. Then, I received this message:
1: C:\WINDOWS
Which Windows installation you want to connect?
(to cancel, press enter)
What do I put here?
You must first start on doing something so USB drive a bootable Hiren.
Here's how:
I'll recommend you use Hiren boot CD (it will go also to a flash/USB stick/USB).
It's good for you, because there a lot of tools more on that on the Recovery Console CD of XP, doesn't your administrator passwords and you will not have to futz round in your BIOS, if any afflicted system has SATA drives - Hiren can deal with this.
You will have a bunch of great tools that you have in XP... Recovery Console an editor of the register, adjustable password and an office that resembles Windows XP so you will feel comfortable flexibility.
You can easily copy your personal data (documents, pictures, music) to an external drive.
A system of work, start by downloading the latest version on Hiren Boot CD from here (it is a substantial download but worth it):
http://www.hirensbootcd.org/download/ (look to the bottom of the page).Unzip the Hiren to a folder where you can find it. There's a Hiren. BootCD.15.x.iso that you have to then.
Hiren was instructed to make a bootable USB drive that you can use, but it takes you first burn the .iso to a CD image file and a few other measures, so I suggest another way and here's how:
Download RUFUS 1.3.2 or whatever the latest version is here (read a few things on the page so you can learn more on this subject):
I will warn to be careful that don't accidentally format you a hard disk - don't forget your USB key is in and know what the drive letter! This part makes me still a little nervous, so be careful.
Launch of RUFUS and all default values should be fine for the device, choose letter of your USB drive, quick tag format FAT32, it if you want and in the Format options box, click on the little icon that looks like a CD and a window will open. Navigate through this dialogue to point to the folder that contains the Hiren. BootCD.15.x.iso that you have unpacked above and the box should change to say the image ISO (RUFUS includes the Hiren ISO file).
Double check you have the right device selected in the top (NOT you HDD) click Start, acknowledge receipt of the warning and let it finish (it will take a little time) it copies the files. Hiren ISO is also a good size.
When RUFUS is finished, it will say "DONE" at the bottom.
Put the USB in the afflicted machine and reset/reboot and regardless of the button you press to get a boot menu where you can select the USB drive as first boot device (it's F11 for me). If you do not see a start menu choice, you will need to set your BIOS to boot from USB first instead of the HARD disk.
When the Hiren menu displays, choose the XP Mode of Mini and it will start loading (slowly from a USB key) and finally, you should see a windowsy looking for office. You should recognize the part and feel uncomfortable, but it is not your office - the office of the Hiren!
Remember: you do not start on your hard drive, - you started in the Office of the Hiren.
A way to check the drive for errors is to open my computer and right-click on your afflicted player and choose Properties, tools, error, check checking now... put a check mark in the boxes and then start.
Sometimes that works, then you can also click on start, run and in the type box:
cmd
Click OK to open a command prompt window and enter the following command (assuming that XP is installed on your C drive)
CHKDSK c: /r
This disk check can last a long time (perhaps several to several hours) depending on the size of the volume, the amount of data on the volume and what the disk check finds to do. You may need to run more than once.

XP home missing or corrupted ntfs.sys file and a model will not start.
Hello
Tried to repair from the recovery console. Tried to change ntfs.sys ntfs.old nem so I could copy a file on HD used (s) ren ntfs.sys ntfs.old according to the support.microsoft.com/kb/555531. Would not change the name. The major part of my question is when I looked in the appropriate directory, it is not made to see the size of the file - has-+. (,) *-* before ntfs.sys instead of 45681 ntfs.sys. What does that mean? I try to improve myself by using the command prompt.
Thank you, Doug
Hi Reddoug,
- What is the full error you received when you rename the file?
- Did you the latest changes on the computer?
- What type of CD Windows XP Setup do you use?
- The computer is able to boot in safe mode?
- Have where you looked for the file on the computer?
I suggest you try all the steps mentioned in the 555531 article and check if it helps.

I'm having this BSOD error for the last 6 months. I updated my drivers, run chkdsk and recovery system and the error is not always intentionally. Please help me to solve my problem. I realized that my ntfs.sys file does not work for windows vista.
In addition, it can help to look at the files minidump against accidents with a debugger.
Can you zip the minidump in the C:\Windows\Minidump folder files and (provide link) available via Windows Live SkyDrive or similar site?
The following link has information about the use of Windows Live SkyDrive:
If you have problems to compress the minidump files copy the minidump files to another location such as a folder on the desktop
In addition, you do not necessarily have compress the minidump files, you can download one at a time.

Hello, my name is Daniela.
I'm an Italian girl and I speak very well English.
I have a Toshiba Satellite A-60-160.
Operating system is corrupt because he has lost some files: system32/drivers/isapnp.sys - system32/drivers/Ntfs.sysI used the dvd - rom toshiba Recovery Console but the problem is here!
Help me, please!
Hi Daniela
For me, it looks like a classic symptom of out crapping of RAM.
I think you should begin to discover what could RAM has a malfunction.
If you use two memory modules, so please try to remove a single module and check if it will only work with a module inside.Of course, the best way is to use the new modules. You may test it in the point of the store service or repair computer.

missing or corrupted ntfs.sys file
I get a message that my ntfs.sys file is missing or damaged. It tells me to insert the original installation cd, however, I don't have the original installation cd. What can I do to restore this file and my computer?
Hello
· How Windows XP has been installed on the computer?
Unfortunately, you would need a disk to fix the problem. See the following article on the problem you are experiencing.

A friend of mine gave me this computer about 2 or 3 months without a hard drive, thanks to a little research because I am not a professional of any kind, I knew that, because of the lack of a disk hard computer did not have an operating system. Having had an old computer just sitting with a 60 GB hard drive I connected on the computer I have now. After buying a new installation of Windows Vista Service Pack 2 disc, just well installed on the hard drive (which has been formatted to remove the old operating system, and all other things potentially buggy) and the computer has given new life. Following these time immediately, I downloaded and installed Microsoft security Essentials to protect my computer and a few other things to Rainmeter, steam, and that's it. Not even which in fact through the first day, however it has begun its random cycle without blue screening end who, after looking hard and troubleshooting, I've yet to find a solution for. Especially, it occurs whenever trying to read a chart highlighting / demanding the game, but also random triggers when nothing works and it's just sitting here. Ironically, I am writing this issue on the same computer in the hope I can find a fix to the Microsoft community.
He still run Windows Vista Service Pack 2 (32-bit) and my computer is a PC of Compaq Presario SR5710Y so that you know what the material consists of.
Here's my last 4 crashes
