• Satellite A100 does not start after the BIOS update

  Hello

  I downloaded the update to the bios toshiba A100 PSAA8 on the toshiba site and applied using the procedure of updating the bios from windows XP MSE. Restart after the start of the update stopped at the toshiba start screen.

  At startup the screen by pressing ESC watch text mode. The message indicated it confirms the update of the bios version. POST messages are:

  The laptop comes with windows XP media center edition. I don't know why the TPM secure is enabled. It is possible that toshiba is available with the module of TPM enabled in bios updates that logbook. If this is the case, they must clearly identified as 'not applicable' upgrade for machines that are not relevant.

  I found similar messages around the forum without convincing answer.

  Is it possible to fix this without sending? Even if it turns out to be affordable, it make much sense to pay for the problems caused by toshiba.

  Please don t blame someone for you mistakes ;)
  As far as I know that only a few sets of laptops come with TPM.
  If you want to do an update of the BIOS on the models at TPM, you will need to contact the ASP!

  Looks like you used a bad BIOS or bad BIOS update procedure.

  The Toshiba page a BISO update the documentation that describes how to upgrade the BIOS on each series laptop!
  You will find on the page of the Toshiba driver compatible BIOS and information over a large number of details!

  Maybe... but according to a few things, you may need something more... Insert, between steps 5 and 6, the detachment from your PC to any Internet access. Some of its latest versions of operating system require an active subscription to a data plan adequate to your mobile service provider to allow the use of this version of the OS... and it uses your PC's Internet connection to perform this validation. But, if the PC cannot access the Internet, then validation is actually ignored and the installation continues nevertheless. • automatically generate documentation of processes

  It is a silly question. I have 40 + process that I need to produce documents for AsciiDoc and I am basically manually copy and paste the names of variables, inputs, outputs and descriptions. All this is stored in the CPO process and I wonder if there is a way to access these variables on a per process basis?

  Our team relies heavily on CPO and we have dozens of processes today, hundreds of tomorrow. It would be super handy to have a way to automatically generate documentation based on existing information in the process. This will make it easier to update the documentation in the future because the processes are refined/changed/added.

  I'm in the middle of an upgrade to vSphere 5.1 5.1 vSphere update 1. I have vCenter protected by HB and SQL on a separate computer (also protected by HB) I also run Syslog, Update Manager and Proxy authentication on vCenter.

  I've successfully upgraded HB on all 4 nodes (2 x vCenter & 2 x SQL) and started the upgrade components on the secondary according to the •vCenter Server Heartbeat 6.5 server and vCenter Update 1 Installation on Windows Server 2008 when the secondary server is virtual (PDF) http://www.vmware.com/pdf/vcenter-server-heartbeat-65-u1-installation-windows-2008-virtual-guide.pdf

  I got to step 3.c

  3. change the primary/active server role:

  a launch of the vCenter Server Heartbeat wizard configure server and click the tab of the Machine to change the server role for the current server (primary) to the active State and click Finish.

  b using the Service Control Manager, start the Server Heartbeat of VMware vCenter service.

  c using the vCenter Server Heartbeat Console, check that all the status icons on the server: summary page are green indicating that the boot process is completed and protected from all the services are started.

  d using the Service Control Manager, stop the service Server Heartbeat of VMware vCenter.

  As the vCenter service does not start, I'm stuck at this point. As far as I'm concerned, the error is quite logical. I've updated vCenter using the secondary server, and then I'm trying to connect (according to the guide) with another version that breaks down.

  If I continue with the services stop and launch the installer SSO, it is trying to perform an uninstall!

  Did I miss something in this upgrade?

  Maarten - if you introduce these two values in the files passed to partial updates, they become available, if this update succeeds.

• Open the file in the external editor

  I put the Publisher external (maximum 6) in the preferences window, but I can't seem to find how to open the file in the external editor. Apple says that go to:

  Yes, for older phones that upgrade to ICS (which have the menu button under the screen), the main menus will be available from there instead of adding the new... button. I will update the documentation to reflect this subtlety, thank you for that question!

• Can Quicktime 7.7.9 automatically re-install the web plugins?

  I am familiar with the installation in silent mode for Quicktime.  In the past, it has always worked well.  However, with QuickTime 7.7.9, it deliberately delete on the web plugins in the installation/update.  Documentation indicates that in order to get the rear plugins, rerun the Setup program and select them specifically.

  Obviously, Apple wants to phase out the web plugins.  But their own site from trailer of the film (see http://trailers.apple.com) * requires * them.  So I'm confused as to why 7.7.9 steals him outside, and especially why it seems, on the surface, to have a way to automatically include in the installation (or re-add-the) If you wish.

  Then... Is there a .msi switch that will automate the registration/re-registration of web-plugins in the installation of QuickTime (so I can potentially get 400 machines to continue to be able to disseminate the contents of own site QuickTime Apple Web without having to reinstall manually on each of them?)?  Or is there a file .mst I can use/create that will allow this?

  OK - Fortunately, I answered my own question.  If you open the MSI in Orca (or whatever the MSI editor), you will see a switch is available: INSTALLLEVEL

  So:

  msiexec /i Quicktime.msi /qn... INSTALLLEVEL = 4...

  .. .will be install all the existing stuff (including web plugins).  If you really want to get detailed, I guess you could create a .mst in Orca, which specifies INSTALLLEVEL 3 for components inherited from stuff and the web.  You can specify the INSTALLLEVEL = 3 and leave out the inherited things, you don't want (like the java plugin).

• Carved frame. Camera Basler with FPGA

  I use a 340kc of acA2000 of Basler camera controlled by an FPGA PCIe-1473R.

  After a few adventures, I finally changed and changed the configuration of TAP with this post.

  I think I knew what is happening. I believe that section of the knowledge base that you read is incorrect. We will solve the problem together and I'll correct the article if necessary.

  Let's talk for a little bit of what's going on. The two keys are 10 bits each, but they are stored in the 16-bit data type. The two pixels must collect the FPGA to the host with a DMA FIFO. For more convenience, the code uses a single DMA FIFO even if there are two taps. The article suggests that you must combine numbers 16 bits 2-in-1 32-bit number and then send it in the DMA FIFO. There are a few problems with this: first, the DMA FIFO has been configured for 16-bit, so half the data is being deleted. In addition, the code on the host computer is dividing the 16-bit data in 8-bit, which is not correct.

  I think it would be better to change the DMA FIFO to support 32-bit data. You can do this by opening the LabVIEW project and right click on the host 16 DMA, select Properties, and then change the type of data in U32. After that, you must program the code on the host computer to divide the number. You will get then two tables (one for each). I think it will reconstruct the image correctly if Interleave you just these two tables.

  I have attached a few images. Try it and tell me if this works. If so, I will update the documentation.

• 'Run VI opening' lvproj does not work

  Here's the Setup: I do a VI that reproduces a test model (vilib) and he has associated specifications of construction within a project. My idea is to have a VI user (developer) opens and presents a dialog box (select model, enter a name for the new test, GO). Ideally this VI will simply work the opening.

  If I create a VI and define its execution proerties on "Run when opened" and open it from the browser to the OS file, the VI behaves as expected: it runs. If I open the VI of any where within a project, it does not work. Why would it be? Is there a solution?

  Alright lets take a deep breath...

  Warning, the following is my opinion based on my knowledge of LabVIEW and not the inner workings of the NC, I may be wrong about why the decisions were made:

  This feature in my opinion was put for many years, as a cheap way and dirty to make it appear as if a VI is executable code (which is sorta maybe but should not be treated exclusively as).  Years if you had a code and you wanted a user to double click on an icon and have, it starts running you'd make an EXE.  Although necessary the application Builder which was extra money and it was a decent amount of steps involved.  New LabVIEW users complained that it was too difficult and he wanted a way to simply double click on a file and that it is then NOR added to this function.  NOR tried also makes it easier to do by adding additional items in the Tools menu to eliminate steps.  Now if you double-click a VI with nothing open, who has run when open setting on, it would be open and run in LabVIEW.  Running as an application source code has several pitfalls and issues, and in other languages (no scripting) that would not be tolerated.  But it was a hacky way to satisfy beginners of LabVIEW.

  LabVIEW has subsequently obtained projects and an easier way to make EXE (always requiring the application Builder).  Now using the source to a project, looked and behaved more as a source in other text-based languages.  Opening in this respect a VI would be the equivalent of opening a text file in Notepad.  And given the behavior of open text and have it automatically start running from your source would be a bad thing.  The State of the source can be easily changed which is one of the reasons why binarys must be used in these situations.

  So essentially, this feature is old and broken.  Should not probably exist at all, and the fact that there is NO bend to the will of those who don't know not what was best for the language as a whole.  This feature must either be removed all together, or be updated to run in a project which I hope I made clear is probably not the best solution.  A third option would be to simply update the documentation indicating the current behavior.

  If you want to run a VI opening this feature, but open the VI project.  Instead simply open the VI of your Explorer of files, or file > open in LabVIEW.  Opening a project is indicative of the IDE you try to change the source, in which case it does not run when opened.

  The good news is that neither has a place where you can suggest new features or improvements for LabVIEW.  If there are a people who agree with your new idea they kudo it and enough Bravo causes OR to examine these features.  If it is important for you, and there is no suitable work around, I'd make a post here.
