  1. to narrow down on the issue, I suggest you to print several copies of a Word document or notepad.

  2. provide the error message or error code for the problem to install the updated driver, follow these steps:

  i. Click Start, in the search box, type in update

  II. click on windows Update

  III. click view update history

  IV. double-click Update failed

  3. update the printer driver to manually. Steps to update the driver:

  i. click on start, type devmgmt.msc and then on enter.

  II. develop the printer and right click on the sub element and click on update driver.

  To be honest I m running Vista updates too, but my computer and all my profiles are not affected

  However, what you could do is to put the OS up to this early time using Vista's system restore.
  Perhaps this will help you resolve the issue.

  Even if it is not automatic, you should be able to get your updates from the Microsoft Download center http://www.microsoft.com/DOWNLOADS/en/default.aspx

  Other than that, your best bet would be to do a repair install and let the system to reinstall the original files and settings.

  When you perform a repair installation, it restores the current installation of Windows Vista to the version on the installation DVD. This requires you to reinstall all updates that do not appear in this version of Windows Vista.

  To perform a repair of Windows Vista installation, follow these steps:

  1. Restart the computer.
  2. Insert the Windows Vista DVD into the DVD drive of the computer.

     Note If Windows does not automatically detect the DVD, click Start, type : \setup.exe in the Search box, and then click configuration in the list programs. Then click on install now.

  3. Click connect to get the latest updates for installation (recommended).
  4. Insert the product key if you are prompted to do so.
  5. Click to accept the Microsoft software license agreement.
  6. On the screen which type of installation you want , click upgrade.
  7. Once the installation is complete, restart the computer, and then try again to install updates.

  Remember, however, that it could undo previous changes to solve your problems of .net.

  Good to hear from you that the procedure worked.

  Try the following steps to install the update because it is important.

  1. If you have any antivirus, please disable the anti-virus.

  2. If you have external devices such as a printer and scanner, please unplug.

  [Note: do not unplug your devices such as the mouse and keyboard]

  3. turn off your windows update. To disable the feature, please follow these steps.

  a. open the Windows Update window. On the left panel, click on change settings and never check to see
  Updates. Close the window. You can also get a consent prompt who may ask you to continue or allow, please click
  it.

  b. close the window of Windows Update.

  4. put the computer in a clean boot by following these steps.

  a. log in the computer using an account with administrator rights.
  b. Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER to start the System Configuration utility.

  If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.
  c. under the general tab, click Selective startup, and then clear the check box load startup items. (The check box use the file Boot is not available.)
  d. on the Services tab, click to select the skin all the Microsoft services check box, and then click Disable all.

  Note following this step lets Microsoft services continue to operate. These services include networking, Plug-and-Play, record of events, error reporting, and other services. If you disable these services, you can permanently delete all restore points. Do not do this if you want to use to restore the system with the existing restore points.
  e. click OK and then click on restart.

  5. now you download the update from the Microsoft Download Center and install it. He should have success.

  I have been reminded of the updates for the Microsoft.NET Framework 2.0 SP2 server 2003 and Win XP x 86.

  Do not install the security updates.

  Flawless number only "don't not instaled.
