Update of Windows 8 poster 18 download complete (0 total Kb, 0%) update

I just upgraded to Windows 7 to Windows 8 Pro.

When you have completed the installation, I got a message that "upgrades are available".

I clicked on install updates and now get the message "downloading updates 18 (0 total Kb, 0% Complete). It worked for 75 minutes.

Mouse and keyboard are frozen.

Any suggestions?

Cancel the process and restart the system.  Try to install the updates one at a time.

  • When I turned on my computer this morning windows Vista wanted to download the updates, and I said ok. Now my top disk turns off and he won't stay, everything disappears on the top of the page office. ___

    What can I do to keep my office on and not Virgin?

    Restore point:

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
  • problem installing Windows while trying to download itunes
    I am trying to download itunes and I always get an error to Windows Installer. I tried all of the corrective actions; uninstalling, reinstalling, revo, etc.. I don't know what to do now.
    The computer is an Acer. Windows Vista. 32 bit OS. x 86.
    Trying to download ITunes 9. I was able to download fully on computer, but the application would never open. The tab on ITunes has had an error in it. Could that cause problems with it? Started having problems with it when I updated about a month ago.
    Please can someone help? I think maybe I should just clear everything and start over with my backup disks. I don't mind what to do if someone thinks it will work.
    Thank you
    Kim
    Download, install and run the Windows Installer cleanup Utility at: http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Windows-Installer-CleanUp-Utility-Download-18442.html and then try installation again to see if that helped.
    If that doesn't work, put the installation on your desktop icon and right-click on it and click on run as administrator and see if that makes a difference.
    If not, request the assistance of the technical support forums and iTunes at: http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ and http://discussions.apple.com/category.jspa?categoryID=149.
    I hope this helps.
  • How to disable the pop up "Windows Media Player cannot download the information on the media... "after the extraction of a CD without activation of network connectivity.
    When I copy a CD with Windows Media Player, I get the message pop up after the investigation period is over: "Windows Media Player cannot download the media for this CD information. The other titles, artist, and album will be identified as "Unknown" in your library. For best results, connect to the Internet or manually add media for CD information. »
    I know that the message appears when I turn on the setting to allow WMP to connect to the internet to get information about the media, but I don't want WMP does. What I want is a button I can push on the pop-up that says "don't show this message again" (similar to the warnings seen in internet explore). How can I disable this pop-up window without activating the internet connection option.
    In case you're wondering, the data from the internet are incompatible in the naming convention so when I rip an audio book, so I can listen to my mp3 player, I can't completely post-processing script because not all of the disks in a set have a coherent on the slopes or even name the disc etc. At least drives marked 'Unknown' is consistent and so easy to script for the reduction to a single MP3 file.
    Hello
    Do you have any other operating system installed on the computer?
    The CD/DVD that you use to install Windows XP may be damaged and this is a possible reason why you cannot complete the installation of Windows XP.
    You can check with another CD/DVD to install Windows XP. In the meantime, you can also check out this link that talks about the installation of Windows XP.
    Download Windows 7. ISO file from the download page of the store. Then create a bootable DVD of the file .iso (see the last part of my post).
    You need to save your documents (word, excel, photos, music, etc.) to a disk external USB or DVD media before starting the installation. As all applications will need to be reinstalled so look for product keys and media.
    Once the DVD has been created the you have to start from it and to proceed with an installation "Custom"and clean. "
