Update on each start upward.

I have a windows vista service pack 2. In the last few weeks whenever I shut down the computer, a simple update rises, that on the next cast causes wait 6 + minutes before I can start working. This happens even when I start several times a day. What can I do to fix this problem?

Hi nercila,

See the below Microsoft article and try the steps mentioned, check if it works.

The update is not installed successfully, you receive a message, and the computer restarts when you try to install an update in Windows Vista and Windows 7

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/949358

Note: Before you try the system restore on the computer in accordance with article above, you will need to note the number of KB update so that you can download it again after running system restore.

See the Windows updates are installed

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/see-which-Windows-updates-are-installed

Once you know the update's KB number then visit the Microsoft Download and put the number in the search box, download and install the update manually.

http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/en/default.aspx

I hope this helps!

  • Windows Vista does not start upward, with success since the closure complete

    Hello world

I actually had this problem for a long time, but I'm just now to a point where I'm ready to take a lead in fixing it.

I can't identify when it started, but Windows Vista does not start upward, with success of a full stop. He gets to the screen where, in general, the green bars will travel across the screen, but the green bars will not come. The screen looks dim and sits there, with the text of the copyright of Microsoft Corporation. So, after not having on the mound, I have to manually shut down the computer by holding down the power button. When I try to start again, told me to go through the Startup Repair tool. If I jump the repair, I just have to meet the same problem - a computer that will not go beyond the screen "green bar".

So, I do the Startup Repair, and told me what I do for the restoration of the system. Windows starts normally after the restoration.

Don't forget, this happens from a full stop. To remedy this, I just never completely shut down my computer. I left running and back just at the beginning of the day. The computer may start restart, it just may not start with a full stop.

Given the start of repair takes, literally, around 4 or 5 hours of full stops complete, accidental or power outages are a nightmare, I am obliged to wait 5 hours to get access to the computer. Fortunately, I have my laptop.

If someone has encountered this? I saw people talking about the loop of startup repair, but that's not the point, I have. I have yet to see any discussion of my specific problem.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

4-5 hours to do a startup repair is too long.

Often you get better results if you a using a DVD of Microsoft Vista startup repair.

I also know that we had been turn most recent for a year with no problems drivers until this update of Windows one did what he did. Just for fun, I reinstalled the latest driver once and once more the switch / 3 gb stop working.

    Hello

As you are able to boot to the desktop in Mode safe, it means that the third-party application prevents the computer from starting in normal mode. To check you can configure the computer to clean start State and then try to boot into normal mode and check what is happening. To set up its own start-up follow the link below.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

If the problem does not continues when the computer is in the clean start State follow the steps listed to identify which application is causing the problem.

Note: When you are finished troubleshooting, follow step 7 article to start on normal startup.

    Hope this information is useful.

  • After the installation of Windows 'important' 3 updates my screensaver started does not. I get a message that says "ScreenSaver:Photo screensaver.scr - unable to locate component".

Original title: screen saver does not start because MSVCR100.dll was not found

After the installation of Windows 'important' 3 updates my screensaver started does not. I get a message that says:

ScreenSaver: Photo screensaver.scr - unable to locate component.

This application has failed to start because MSVCR100.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

The screen saver starts after you close the error message. I've never had a problem with my screen saver up to that after I downloaded updates. I don't know how to reinstall the application. I tried Windows Fix - It Solutions, but it does not work. He repeated to me that it was a mistake.

    Help, please. Thank you.

    Hello

It didn't reinstall the ATL update, it reinstalled 2005 Redistributable. So now, I have 2005 and 2010 x 86 both. And it says that two dates installiation are two days after I installed the 2010. I know 2005 and the update was uninstalled, because I checked after restart the computer and before you install the 2010 version. Very curious.

But my Screensaver works and access to the camera seemed to work after uninstalling / reinstalling the software. So, good. Thank you.
