Update satellite L630-12v and WIN 10

Why the company forget customers with more products can be improved technically to win 10... ? Who knows they are planning to write that a new drivers to win 10 to the models... I know that many people have computers laptop whith L6 * series and others they defenetly want chance peripheral upgrade whith now problems...

You must understand that the upgrade of the OS is quite complicated. Each laptop model must be controlled, tested and pilots must be adapter. Can you imagine how many different models has offered Toshiba L630 being new on the market model?

It's a very large number of different models, and it is simply not possible to provide support for each other.
Don't forget that the new models have a newer and better hardware. Or like nVidia, Atheros and Intel hardware manufacturers do not support older hardware.

    Hello

The chicony webcam does not work on my toshiba Satellite A350-12j and windows 7 64 bit...

I always get different errors as
    "graphics make it fail."
"the device is locked by another program.

I tried many things and watch them on a lot of messages, but nothing does. I installed a lot of drivers and programs to solve, but nothing works.
at first the camera was ok but now nothing seems to help and the camera is broken...

    Can you help me??

    Thank you!

    > seen as 1 million messages like mine and not even 1 right answer on how to solve it!
I guess you didn't read all these messages correctly

The user Symbian wrote that her webcam works fine! He used the software/driver for the Toshiba page as well

Since the Skype reports an unknown error too, I guess that this whole thing has noting to do with the webcam software, but with your Windows 7 installed!

Seems a registry keys, files or all what it might be, are confused upward!
In your case, I would try a new installation! Install Win 7 and the Toshiba drivers/software.
    Then test the webcam.

Don t install any 3rd party software before you would test the webcam!

I googled autour bit, but I wasn't able to find useful information on upgrading RAM.
It is initially proposed with 16 MB of RAM and can scale up to 144 MB, but I don't know which modules can be used.

It is very interesting what you can do, but I don't really know what you can do with this old piece of equipment designed for old Win95.

I mean it's good that if it still works, but I can't imagine that you can do something useful with it. I'm wrong about this?

    Hello

I put t know exactly the maximum HDD capacity that your device can handle with but I think 10 or 12 GB should be recognized correctly. In my opinion you should not expect that you can use the HARD disk with a capacity more high anyway the unit is about 6 years old.

  • Satellite L630 dead after BIOS update

    Hello

I have a problem with a Toshiba Satellite L630 laptop model PSK00E-017019EN (British model).

An analysis of software Toshiba recommends an update of the BIOS and that I had a few problems with the laptop, I decided to let it run... big mistake!

The laptop will now not enter bios is effectively dead.

I downloaded different versions of the crisis Phoenix Recovery Disk (that will build a bootable USB key with MINIDOS. SYS, PHLASH16. EXE and a generic BIOS. WPH) and have also downloaded the latest version of the BIOS on the toshiba site.

The downloaded BIOS Toshiba is an exe SL630_L635_WIN_B140.exe file that will extract the following files using WINRAR (I tried also pick up the files in %Temp%, after you run the exe with the same result).

The files that I get are:

    BB10140. FD (4170kb)

    Ding.wav (104 KB)

    InsydeFlash.exe (764 KB)

    iscflash.dll (1760 KB)

    iscflash.sys (14 KB)

    iscflashx64.sys (23 KB)

    and platform.ini (9kb)

I expect to see the real bios in the form xxxx.rom or xxxx. WPH so that I could add this to the bootable flash drive to reflash the bios.

So my real question, can someone direct me to where I can download the correct BIOS. ROM file for this laptop and also where I can get the right version of the software Phoenix crisis Recovery Disk.

Also could you confirm the correct key sequence to start on crisis Recovery flash drive... I've seen talk of the F and B FN FN (both used without battery and plugging in the adapter, then power button / stop)... the FN routine F seems to start the Flash Player, but obviously without the right file WPH will not solve the problem.

    Thank you

    Phil

To be honest, I don t think that BIOS ROM module needs to be replaced.
In my opinion the ROM module must be flashed again using a special disc of crisis of the BIOS.
I recommend you contact Toshiba service and pay a small fee for the flash ROM module.
It is much better solution to handle the motherboard.

  • There are two updates of BIOS for Satellite A210 2, 00 - WIN & 2, 30 - WIN

    In 2010 there are two updates of BIOS for Satellite A210 2, 00 - WIN & 2, 30 - WIN
    In archive: http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_bios.jsp

They compatible for Satellite A210-1AO, part number: PSAELE-03Q009G3 (BIOS/date TOSHIBA V2.0, 2008.06.10 version)?

    Hello

There are three different series of A210:
    PSAFGE-> BIOS v2.0

  • Satellite L750D - update BIOS 2.1 and its problem

    Hello

I have little problem. I was downloaded from your website 2.1 BIOS for Toshiba Satellite L750D (PSK32E).

I have been updating BIOS 2.1 and start the problem with the sound. When I start the game, music or else minutes 2 first sound plays correctly but then it stops without reason. No noise at all. I've been reinstalled op system but the problem is still there.

Sound works for 2 minutes only then is completely off. Each application to start with sound plays 2 minutes and stop all silent is. I did a probe on my laptop the mother she s a computer portable twin. I have updated bios same problem 2 minutes and then no sound. My OS is win 8 64 pro my laptop mother is with win 7 x 64 premium.

Two BIOS updated ver 2.1 on L750D and the problem is the same. Please fix the BIOS.

The BIOS seems to be very old. I was released nearly 1.5 years ago, so to be honest, I doubt that his and BIOS problem.

I had the similar problem with my other laptop equipped with a Realtek sound card.
The sound appeared after connection and remove the headphone jack
But I could solve this latest installation updated audio driver the Realtek driver page.

But it seems that your Satellite does not support Realtek audio chip but the Conexant audio chip.
Therefore, the solution could not be useful for you.

However, I think that you need to update the audio driver. I recommend you google for driver Conexant SmartAudio HD and test the latest version of the driver available.
On the internet, I find the Conexant SmartAudio HD driver version 8.65.9.51 for Win 7 / 8 Win / Win 8.1
Not quite sure if this is the latest version, but you can test it.

    To manually update your driver:

    1. go into the Device Manager (right click on my computer, choose manage and then find Device Manager in the left panel)
    2. right click on the device you want to update and choose Update driver software
    3. choose Select the location of the new driver manually and navigate to the folder where you downloaded the driver

  • Satellite Pro U500 - multi-boot with Win 7 and Win XP

    Good gentlemen,

Please help me with this query I have.

I just bought a Satellite Pro U500 with Windows 7 installed. I also have a TOSHIBA Windows XP product supplied with the laptop recovery DVDs. Was told I could downgrade to XP with the DVD.

I want to install Win XP in addition to the existing installation of Windows 7 on a different partition, I intend to create.
Can I create a create a separate partition and then use the recovery TOSHIBA Windows XP product DVD to install Win XP on it?

Am just worried I might spoil the on the laptop's recovery partition?

Basically, I want to be able to run the current Windows 7 and Win XP on my machine and want to know the best way to do it without damaging the existing TOSHIBA recovery partitions.

I want to use the recovery DVDs TOSHIBA Windows XP product to install XP on a new partition with windows 7 OS.

    Thank you

    STRAPPING

    Hi-band,
+ downgrade to xp + means that you are not allowed to use your win7 installation any longer...

    ask problem "dual-boot":
burn a DVD restore *, choose from the start menu

After that, you can choose partition wich you like "sacrifice" for xp and install it...
XP can't 'see' the install of win7, but you need a Boot Manager to boot both systems (xp is crushing the win7 boot code)

or you go the other way:
installation of xp and then install win7
This has the advantage that win7 offers you the ability to boot xp from the bootmenu.
in both options, you lose the hard drive recovery!

  • Satellite A210 - heating and BIOS update problem

My aunt was having problems with his A210, so she bought herself a new and gave me the old one. The problems that she has been seen was the computer kept stopping at random. I am the only user on the computer so I have administrator privileges and I don't know why this error is coming. Help, please. Thank you

    > Has anyone else experienced problems with the A210 of overheating? All solutions?
    Hi mate

I m a Satellite A210 owner and to be honest, a higher internal temperature might occur if the laptop would not get enough air to cool the internal parts like CPU and GPU.
A few weeks ago, I used the laptop on the sofa I don't the opinion of t that the cooling that are placed at the bottom of the unit fans were clogged because of my position relax, if you know what I mean ;)

After a short period of use, the laptop shut down automatically I was a little surprised, but I realized that air could not circulate, and so the laptop overheated

Now, I m using the unit only on the desktop. This method is recommended, and it helps to keep the temperature at the lower level

    PS: My BIOS is updated...

    I use Toshiba Satellite L630 - 107 (PSK04E).
    Recently I installed windows 8.

Some drivers as a value-added package are not proceed with the installation... so I can't turn off my wireless...
Can someone help me get rid of this problem?

    Hello

I never checked if this computer L630 laptop (PSK04E) will get the Win 8 drivers?
Here you can check if your series is win 8 supported:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/innovation/generic/Windows8-message
If it is not listed, then the drivers Win 8 coming out.

However, the VAP should not be linked to any laptop model usually it should be possible to install the VAP even on different models.
Recommend to choose a VAP released already for other series
