update the status of the guarantee

I bought a new Dell laptop inspiron-17-5749 with serial number (6287008140578) of the Extra store / Saudi Arabia with receipt number (001050073414) dated 14/11/2015.

Knowing that the warranty is two years, when I checked my warranty status, I found out that the warranty on my laptop up to 31/03/2017, how can update the status of the warranty of my mobile to confirm with the date of purchase.

I recorded my laptop at dell.com two months ago and the status of the guarantee was not updated.

Hi ihabahmeddell,

Thanks for posting.

I apologize for the confusion over your warranty service contract.  Unfortunately, I do not have the opportunity to see orders outside the United States, then I won't be able to watch whatever it is for you.  You will need to contact the customer in your country to find the answers to your questions.  As long as your registration has been approved, there should not be a problem.  Sometimes the Web site can take a while to update, this is why you might not be able to see it immediately.  A call to the customer can confirm the warranty you may have.

Another thing to check is if the extended warranty has been through Dell or store Extra, as normally systems purchased at retail have only 1 year warranty from Dell.

Hope this Help explains things a bit for you.

Kind regards
Robert

    I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite A660. Windows 7 64-bit.
First Tempro worked but I have not had an update since October 6 and my warranty status now says
    'Standard Standard warranty Toshiba unregistered'?
Think this should happen when Tempro advised me on a Tempro itsself update: update around 6 October?
I registered my guarantee that some moths back, I can not re - save that I am already registered, I can confirm that my warranty is until August 2011 on the toshiba support site.
I can browse and then install updates from toshiba but not by Tempro. Infact today I downloaded Tempro 3.3.4 and installed.
TEMPRO is activated and shows my correct series and number of model, but always said that my warranty is not registered.

Under condition of the guarantee: guarantee offers, help and register buttons all work, but clicking on the button "Refresh" seems to do nothing. If I disconnect my internet and press "update" button there is no percievable difference?

I'm sure theres no firewall problem, but put exceptions in TemproSvc.exe and TemproTray.exe to be sure.

I know that Toshiba say wait 5 days for the warranty to show registered but surely that does not mention when you click on the update button, but since time of your registration?
Which for me was long August/September.

    Hey Buddy,

Where to check the details of the warranty for your laptop?
For European laptops, you can check the warranty here: http://www.toshiba-tro.de/unitdetails

If it s are not correct, you should ask a service provider authorized in your country or contact Toshiba people under [email protected] and explain your situation.

  • New W510, update the BIOS - black screen on startup - guaranteed?

    Hi all!

I got a new W510 and decided to update the BIOS via the executable Windows 7 provided by Lenovo for their support-web. The program is run properly (all green checkmarks), the machine has been restarted and then stopped and started again - but she never stopped showing the "ThinkPad" screen POST. The machine started throwing his fans after some time and the machine felt hot enough it is up to the right. I waited a bit (say 4-5 minutes) if there was some additional BIOS update which took place, but nothing happened after a while, I decided to stop it. Now when I boot, the screen is all black.

This will cover in the included warranty? It must be, right?

Sorry for my late reply. As I think it is clear from my earlier post, there was still no way to load default BIOS that the screen went black as soon as I started the machine.

Two days later from my first message I sent it in for repair. Almost 4 weeks after and TWO motheboards (first one was apparently DOA) later, the machine works now. As it seems, Lenovo had some problems for spare parts quickly enough because it took almost 2-3 weeks just to get the first map of mother (DOA).

Anyway, even if it took some time, I can now enjoy my new machine

  • Projection Shockwave Flash as v16.0.0.287's plugin check but he updated the current 16.0.0.305 and restart Firefox (v36.0) do not change the situation.

Shows a check as v16.0.0.287 Shockwave Flash plugin, but it updated the current 16.0.0.305 and restart Firefox (v36.0) do not change the version number or status when rechecking the plugins. Control of Adobe and the Flash Control Panel website confirms 16.0.0.305 is installed. All the solutions to this?

I noticed in the information in the topic: plugins page under Shockwave Flash, path: line was showing.

    < path: C:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\NPSWF32_16_0_0_287.dll,C:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\NPSWF32_16_0_0_305.dll >

For outdated version 287 .dll file was still there and listed before the current version of 305. I deleted the 287 .dll version and restart Firefox and check the plug-ins again the problem seems to have been resolved.

  • Renewal of the guarantee

I just renewed my warranty for HP Pavilion all in one for 3 years, I received an e-mail telling me it would be actvated for me. But on the HP support assistant, he says I left 3 months of my original warranty?  will this updated to show my new warranty and how long will take to update

    Greetings,

This could take a few days to update.

If this isn't the case, you will need to contact HP Carepack information you received electronically or by post to update the warranty.

You realize that you do not get a full three-year extension.

This is true unless HP has changed its policy. It happened to me last year.

Thus, for example, your PC comes with a one year warranty due to expire in 3 months. Buy you an extended three-year HP warranty.

You will then see a period of warranty extended for two years and three months. Not the full three years and three months, you bought because the extended warranty runs concurrently with the guarantee of a year basis.

You pay twice for the first year.

  • Split 13 x 2 can't update the bios

I have a new split of HP 13 X 2 computer laptop / tablet. I have upgraded to Windows 8.1. Tried to update the system BIOS but it fails. I have Kaspersky Anti-virus turn off when you run the update and my account is Administrator status. Evry time I try and update the bios, I get an error "failure" and said copy update has failed. What should I do to fix this?

Just flashed manually with a USB key. Appears the utility tries to copy the update to the bios on hp/efi/bios on partition 2, but I can't find how to go from Windows, even with hidden folders to display. The update tool the wish was easier and you can specify where you put the update from version 'dumbed down too low to be useful.

    Steps to Flash manually:

1 use the bios tool to copy the files to a recovery USB drive. It will create a Hewlett-Packard folder. In BIOS and the BIOS update, but the update f19 falls within the bios/current.

    2. with your PSU AC plugged, reboot the computer. Once the screen goes black, start hitting ESC.

    3. even if it seems you can arrow down and press ENTER to select F2, press the F2 key... without the function key.

    4. Insert the USB key, select the firmware, bios update, select the usb drive and navigate to the folder of the bios/current.

    5. you will be asked if you want to update the current bios of 16 to 19. Click bios update (forget what it actually says) and sit down and let it do its thing.

    6. restart. If you have enabled as I do of bitlocker, now you must pick up the keys. After that is done, then you have a F19 X 2.

Have not used enough to see if 19 solves this problem of the touchpad, but refuse to do workaround above.

  • Satellite A100-207: is it possible to update the graphics card for games

    Hello

I am looking to buy the laptop Toshiba A100-207 and it comes with 128 MB shared graphics.

I would like to play games and I was wondering if I could update the graphics (for example, a nvidia card I could buy and put in) or the fixed graphics?

I just want to know if I am able to upgrade?

    Thank you

    Hello

In my opinion the graphics card or processor is not welded on the new generation of mobile phones. The parts must be simply plugged into the card.
But this does not change the status of the upgrade.
Eventually, you will be able to remove the graphics card but I m sure that you will have problems of compatibility with other hardware.

Fastest graphics card produces more heat and the temperature will automatically increase to a higher level. This would lead to overheating in the question and the laptop would be either closed or not starts.
PC desktop technology is simply different as on laptops. You can also compare different graphics cards. Laptop factory uses only graphics card chips what don t supports a clean cooling module.

It simply says s not possible to update the graphics card.

  • Update the BIOS on the Satellite 1900-803

I just tried to update my bios on the recommendation of Microsoft because of reported serious CPU/bios conflicts.

The routine bios flash downloaded seems to work well from the disk for about two minutes then suddenly shut the computer laptop everything without warning. The machine has restarted but only with a screen empty and not yet start either from floppy disks or hard drives.

The front panel LED screen display the infrared icon in solid red without any Flash (there is no reference in the instruction booklet).
I tried several keystrokes on re - boot from information obtained via google searches on the internet. None of them seem to make any difference. Supplied with the machine recovery CD does not work either re-boot when it is used with the recommended C more switch button power switch.
I thought you are trying to reset the password using one of these parallel port fixers described on the net?
Other ideas on a way forward?
I guess that Toshiba offers no guarantee with their routines in the bios even if I lost a considerable amount of important data?

    Kind regards

    Hello

You are right. The guarantee only if no coverage of this misfortune.
It seems that the laptop does not start because you have updated the BIOS with the wrong version or the wrong update procedure.

Most of the time it's not easy to estimate what might be the problem.
Maybe you are a lucky man and the BIOS chip be flashed only once again using a special procedure.
In the worst cases, the jury is dead and you need a new

Seems so you will have to contact the service technicians in your country.

When I first tried this software update the status of the printer was ready however after failing at the start of this first attempt each following update failed because the printer is busy. I turned he walks several times and even turned off then the option automatic updates with no luck.

Without being able to change that status, I can't update the printer. I know that it is able to connect to the network, because it checks and tells me that he has the latest software version available fo, so I am very confused as to how I can fix this.

    Any suggestions?

Hey @Branthwaite, welcome to the Forums of HP! I'd love to help you update your JO 8610.

From your description, I understand that you cannot refresh the printer as it is stuck in the free/busy information.

We will perform a hard reset. To do this, leave the printer and unplug the power cable for 1 minute. While it is unplugged, press and hold the power button on the printer for 10-15 seconds to release built his power, then after the minute, plug the printer in. Also, even if you have used a surge protector/power bar this whole time and you feel this isn't the cause, please plug it in to a wall outlet so that we can eliminate the source of energy as the primary cause.   Questions when it is connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power

  • Don't update the graphics drivers Vista 64 ('Access denied' / 80070005)

This has been quite a problem persisting for a while now and I'm not about to set. I have two points of Dell (a desktop and a laptop), both using Vista 64 and nVidia Quadro graphics cards and both have same problem. Earlier, a driver update attempted to settle on Windows Update, but it failed, citing the 80070005 error. After the next restart, completely graphics card drivers did not work at all, forcing windows to return to the graphics compatibility mode. New attempts to update or reinstall the drivers of graphics cards were just as futile. I tried both Windows Update and a downloaded version of nVidia drivers but none worked (the more I get in the way of error messages, it is "Access denied"). I also tried to completely uninstall the drivers and by removing the device in Device Manager, but still no luck. At the end of the day, I did a system restore, but this is not ideal, because the recommended update reappeared in Windows Update again and I have to keep it from settling each time that manually.

After fishing trawl the internet for advice, I tried all sorts but in vain. I tried to disable my Anti Virus, using subinacl (and others) to restore registry permissions, rename the softwaredistributions folder, run in administrator mode, check the permissions of the update service and checking the status of execution protection. Nothing helps, so any suggestions are appreciated.

  • computer laptop 15-ac055nr: update the keys died after Windows10 1511

Hello, after 'agreeing' Win10 two nights back cumulative update 1511 - all my keyboard shortcuts do not work as expected. Most of them do nothing and at least 2 do something other than advertised... seems this 'problem' arrived on the latest updates of OS (Win 7 or 8 Win), don't know if the previous solutions apply here-> but nothing out on the internet yet about Win10 and this problem.

Expect Microsoft to say, HP HP problem call. Expect HP to tell me Win10 question... classic update Microsoft call h/w - game of chickens and eggs from s/w.

Any ideas how to recover the shortcut keys? Laptop is quite popular multimedia streamer at home in the evening, so sad to lose the volume controls and screen... you don't know where all that is soft but in settings either. Thnx!

Well, I can answer my own post!

My laptop is new, only 2 months so I used option support guaranteed HP.

More explicit problem behavior is as such: 12 fn keys, 11 were shortened assignment by updating Windows HP. 10 wiped out all HP keyboard shortcut definitions and reallocated to 2 keys to go to windows start menu and help page for Google chrome (weird!).

Based on another similar question, I had already drilled in the Device Manager settings and HP support had me crushes the keyboard driver (which is only a 2006 pilot PS/2... seems old)... so no surprise driver setting did nothing...

HP support had me then download and flash the BIOS... as strange as the PC architecture still using a file of 2048 kb to disk BIOS system boot... who did it! I must say that I did not regularly updates the BIOS of the PC manufacturing and it's always the small nail little bite of the to do because it can make a device does not work if it does not stick...

Thus, it seems that the native HP keyboard shortcut assignment was reset correctly with the BIOS flash, which was totally cool as flashing the BIOS is the only way to see 'the good "ol days' settings screen monochrome low color with large fonts polyhedral. Hey I was already a student in second year at College when the first laboratory of PC with Win 3.1 and mice showed up to plant the day on the BACK and numbered menu selection to launch the 5 or 6 software loading to a PC... the good ' ol days.

Problem solved! Thank you HP support!
