Update to Acrobat 9 Pro on Windows 7

Recently uninstalled Acrobat 9 Pro from the computer of my wife XP, the upgraded Windows 7 x 64 and re-installed Acrobat machine. It works very well, but is at version 9.0.0 for more than three weeks since the installation. When I click on update, it says that there is no update available. Next steps?

Hi lewist57,

    Hi jurleana15722686,

Work with a subscription or perpetual version (where you bought the software outright)? Are you faced with a particular problem or receive an error message when you try to activate?

To start, please consult this document: https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-deactivation-products.html.

If you're still having problems, please let us know what is exactly the problem, including the error messages that you receive. It would also be useful to know what version of Windows you are using.

    Best,

    Sara

  • Re-install Acrobat 9 Pro Extended, Windows

I'm trying to re - install this version via download as my new computer has no CD/DVD drive.  A window pops up, says that serial number is invalid (after several audits and double).

When I check the download page (download Acrobat 8 and Acrobat 9 ), I don't see downloads for Standard and Pro and non Pro Extended version. I recommend that you take your CD/DVD or USB key to someone who has a computer with a CD/DVD drive and copy the contents of the optic disc in the USB again. Then, you can install from the USB key.

In fact, I came across the same problem some time ago when I tried to re - install Acrobat 9 and since then, I have a copy of the installer saved on my network server. You will also encounter problems with the installation of updates to Acrobat 9, once you've managed to get the original version installed. Some updates will install when you activate the clock of the computer at a given date, other updates must be downloaded from the Adobe's FTP server and installed manually. See here for more information: where are my Adobe Acrobat 9 updates? -KHKonsulting LLC

Make sure you also read the comments, they contain useful information (for example on what date to use, and what update to use sequences - you will need to download and install the updates of most, but not all of them).

  • Updates to Acrobat 9 Pro Extended

I just reinstalled Windows, which meant also reinstall my copy of Acrobat 9 Pro Extended. When I hit the menu of updates , the message box says there is no update is available at this time. In addition, I was unable to locate the updates for my version of Acrobat on the web site. I would like to have a link to the update page.

    Thank you.

After some additional research, I can answer my own question. The download page is at:

This leads to another question: the updates are cumulative, or do I have to install all?

  • Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro and Windows 7 (64-bit)

I got a new computer running Win7 64-bit. I have a copy of Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro, I am getting down to work on the new system. During the installation process, he raised an error by requesting the file adobepdf.dll of Windows Vista. Since I also have a computer running Vista, I was able to locate the necessary file to complete the installation. However, when I try to PDF a website for example, it displays an error to the Task Manager (clock lower). When I check the properties of the Adobe PDF printer, it shows the port as being "LPT1".

I contacted Adobe via online chat, but was directed to the website www.adobe.com/support. There, I could not find anything.

I guess the first question to ask is... Is Windows 7 64 bit & Adobe Pro 8 compatible? If so, what am I doing wrong? If this isn't the case, that answers the question here. When I asked the cat Adobe representative, all they said about the compatibility, is that it has not been tested on Win7, so they don't know.

I tried to make the facility a couple of times / ways. The first time I did the installation, I clicked on Cancel when she asked the file AdobePDF.dll Vista. I got the same results as I did when I found the file.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

After searching around on other sites and forums help, I found the answer @ -with-windows-7-64bit-printing/99f812d3-d025-44f4-bba2-5a483ce1e730 http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-windows_programs/acrobat-8-or-9. The part I did was downloaded the 8.1 update, and it worked perfectly after that.

  • Too small text Acrobat DC Pro 10 Windows user interface

Since his arrival to 10 windows, Acrobat DC Pro UI, menus, dialogs, etc. are very small... too small to read. I've adjusted the settings in Acrobat and Windows 10, but I find myself either with all medium to large, or way to small. I was unable to find anything that specifically addressed my question, but I'm sure others have pushed this issue. Thank you in advance for your help!

  • install adobe acrobat 9 pro 10 Windows

I'm under 10 Windows on a new Lenovo desktop computer... I want to install my subscribed Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extended on this machine... downloaded the installation .exe file and then proceeded to the installation window... window installation would not accept my serial number... and so the Pro 9 would not install.

    Hello

Acrobat 9 extended is quite an old version of Acrobat and also not a compatible once.

The only versions that have been tested and compatible with Windows 10 are Acrobat (XI and DC).

However the only available version is Acrobat DC as Adobe is not sold older versions more.

  • all updates to Acrobat 8 Pro

Where can I find all the updates/patches for Acrobat 8 Pro.  I found up to 8.1.1 and tried to install 8.1.2, but it does not recognize my current version of Acrobat.  So I think there must be another update between the two.  Verification of updates does not work.

Updates are available at ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobat/win/. Move directories for other operating systems.

Are updates to Acrobat Pro 9 version available? If I download the trial version of Acrobat Pro XI I lose the ability to use Acrobat 9 Pro on my Mac?

    FTP://FTP.Adobe.com/pub/Adobe/Acrobat/

For the second question, it is not recommended. It will probably cause some problems with AA 9 and part 9 will not work correctly. You should probably update to XI or just deal with AA 9. If nothing else, when you remove the XI, it will break 9 and a repair will be necessary.

  • How you own software Acrobat 8 Pro on Windows 7?

I made a mistake and installed Acrobat 8 Pro on my new Windows 7 computer.  After using the control panel/uninstall a program successfully, I find there is always a remnant, folders, and registry keys left behind files.  Adobe has published a book on how to clean it on a Windows XP computer, but can not find anything specific to the Windows 7 system.  I guess that there are major differences.  Adobe has a program of cleaning for Acrobat 9, but not to 8.  Any information would be appreciated.

    Hi Frank,.

To manually remove Acrobat 8 of your machine, please consult the KB: http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/manually-remove-acrobat-8-windows.html
