Update Windows 10 and HP System Recovery

Hey,.

I plan on moving from Win 7 to 10 to win, but the only thing stopping me is, what happens if I use the HP System Recovery after doing? Considering that it is pre-installed for Win 7 on my system, it will return it Win 7 or what?

Thank you!

Hello

Yes, if you are using HP System Recovery, it would reinstall Windows 7, but it is important to note that the ability to do it from the hard disk recovery Partition does not work after upgrade to Windows 10.  You must use your recovery media - if you have not created this, a guide can be found here.

Another option that you might consider, if you must reinstall Windows 10 once you have upgraded is the following.

Also long Windows 10A active Ok after upgrading to 7, in the future, you can just perform a new installation of 10 as stated in the guide on the following link.  Note: On the activation screen, select 'I don't have a product key' - 10 Windows will activate automatically once installation is complete.

When I first installed the new 5.1 icloud, OUTLOOK 2016 worked well. Updated windows 10 and know icloud will not work. ICloud show that it works. Have reinstalled icloud a lot of time and know that the add-in does not show up in OUTLOOK.  Help

I was pulling my hair re the incompatibility of iCloud and Outlook of Office 365 2016.  I finally got things to work on three of my computers - which are on the latest version of Windows 10.

The steps that worked for me:

    (1) uninstall the plugin iCloud (what version you have); the uninstall may fail but if so don't worry as step 3 below overlays some iCloud plugin version you have installed

    (2) open the Control Panel, uninstall, change/repair Office 365; Select fast repair

    (3) reinstall iCloud plugin (version 5.1), then restart the system by following the instructions

    (4) after the reboot, plug in iCloud application Apple ID and password; Make sure that you enter your apple with the suffix icloud.com ID (e.g., [email protected])

    (5) check the iCloud options to your will (e.g., photo synch, synchronization of bookmarks, sync mail/calendar, etc.)

    (6) check apply it, leave the work plugin iCloud for a minute, when he finishes, check the closing

    (7) open Outlook 2016 and check your calendar or contacts or anything that you indicated in step 5, that you want to synchronize with iCloud.com

I hope it works for you!

System 4.0 update works very well with Windows 7 RTM, but the 3.14 system update does not work with Windows 7 in all.

If the update 4.0 system with Windows 7 beta, I don't know since I've never used the beta version, but at least 4.0 supports Windows 7 so I suggest you just try and see if it works or not.

So I suggest you try this one instead:

  • Laptop will not reinstall windows after the factory system recovery

So I have a laptop HP which is relatively new. I recently acquired the Virus 2010 Vista AntiVirus Pro. When the malware and spyware could not fix the problem, I decided to do a system restore, which would put the computer to the way it was when I bought it. I backed up the files and do the system recovery. He filled the recovery then said it will re-start to reinstall windows and complete the process.

After the restart as it gets and error that says: "the computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error." Windows Setup cannot continue. To install Windows, click "ok" to restart the computer, and then restart the installation. »

The only option is to click on 'ok', but after clicking it he is trying to reboot once again and the same error comes back. We tried to manually close the laptop and restart, but we always get the same error. I can get the start menu when the information system and the recovery is but to the past is just the mistake. Any suggestions on how to fix it? I don't know what else to do.

  • Windows 7 boot CD system recovery cannot fix the Master Boot Record is damaged or missing?

This question is on the drive that Windows 7 users can make by going to the backup and restore > create a system repair disc, and then burn the disc.

Windows says that this disk can be used to start the computer. However, you will not necessarily be able to boot your Windows 7 operating system from the hard drive. When I had a problem recently (shut down system and on reboot I got a message BACK that says "Boot MGR missing") this disc is not to try to do a repair. In the system recovery Menu, you see here when you start the CD:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/what-are-system-recovery-options#what-are-system-recovery...

I chose "Startup Repair" and he couldn't fix anything. I ended up cloning of my hard disk from a backup.

    Of http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/startup-repair-faq#1TC=windows-7

"Are there problems that Startup Repair cannot fix?

Startup Repair can only fix certain problems, such as missing or damaged system files. He can't fix the failures of hardware, such as a failing hard disk or incompatible memory, nor it protects against virus attacks.

Startup Repair is not designed to fix Windows installation problems, is not a backup tool, so it cannot help you recover personal files, such as photos or documents. To help protect your computer, back up your system and your files regularly. For more information, search for "backup" in Windows Help and Support. »

So here's my question: how to create a bootable CD that has everything you need to fix the Master Boot Record, whereas in case your startup files are damaged, altered, or deleted (and of course, you can not start your system from the hard drive) it will be either fix the files on the hard disk or at least still start your operating system on your hard drive?

To answer my own question (which becomes a habit on this forum): http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/20864-mbr-restore-windows-7-master-boot-record.html

It turns out that the repair CD Windows 7 Sytem that I had done was the right tool for the job but I didn't know how to use it. The above link explains how to use the command prompt window to repair the boot record.

Other advice, I had was to have used the "Startup Repair" option in the Tools menu of recovery after launching the repair CD, but then he runs three times. For some reason, it takes three times to run before it can solve the problem. I think that the command prompt window method is probably more reliable.

  • Update Windows 8.1 blocks system 75% full - information collection

I have a desktop computer 1 month with Windows 8, I'm trying to upgrade to Windows 8.1.  Repeatedly, the upgrade is 75% full - "Collection of information", and the system locks up, requiring a hard reset.  Trying to install it again, it starts at 50% and crashes again when it is 75%.  I have no antivirus 3rd party.

    I tried:
    • Deactivation of all external devices except the keyboard and mouse
    • Installation pending Windows updates
    • Deleting temporary files
    • Try to install after a clean boot
    • Reset the cache to store (WSRestore)
I don't know what I should try next.

Following the previous tips when installing hung 8.1 (63% Setup message), I turned on "airplane mode" temporarily (to suspend internet access) and then allowed the installation of several "Microsoft Apps" which were also waiting.   Then restarted download.

I suspect that it was temporarily suspending the internet which defeated the gel.

  • WRT 310N worm. 2. cannot update Windows Vista and Norton 360 since I installed this router

    Hello world

As the topic title says, since the installation of the router WRT 310N worm. 2 on my laptop, Windows Vista, and Norton 360 can not be changed - I continue to receive operation failed errors whenever I try to download the latest version of the software updates or antivirus. Generated error doesn't also have a HelpFile associated with it.

I went to the admin settings, but since I'm pretty new to routers and wireless technology in general, I'm a little busy with what we have to try so I thought I'd come here and ask the experts.

Would be very happy for any help!

  • Ubuntu erased OS and the system recovery Partition drive

I wanted to test Ubuntu and install it with my Windows Vista. However, the Ubuntu installation failed and somehow corrupted and cannot continue with the installation. So just right now, I'm still in mode "test drive" in Ubuntu that runs on a CD player.

Apparently he erased my drive hard because I can't start Windows (does nothing) and the F11 recovery partition would not be.
This computer did not come with a recovery disk (I have the HP-m8000n) and it is refurbished.

I just realized that these computers have these stickers that contain the product key. Could I possibly use this key again? If so, how can I install Windows Vista software? I don't have a record of it at all :(

Please and thank you! I appreciate any response!

    In addition to Richard's response.

Your key is for the specific version of preinstalled victory, a generic installation of OEM win "might" work with your key. You can, but try (with your key)

  • I've updated Windows 8 and Windows Live Mail now clashes with Microsoft Store

    Hello

I use Windows Live Mail. I just updated Windows 8.1 (regular updates) and rebooted my PC. Now when I click on the links in my emails, rather than open this link in my Web browser, it shows "no apps are installed for this type of link (res)" and gives me the ability to search the store.

Thanks in advance for your help,

    Stephen

I don't know what a "res" link would be, because the e-mail links should be the "mailto:" Protocol.

    But you can try this:

Go to the desktop Panel by right clicking your Start button.  Under the section "Programs", find "choose your default programs" and the value of Windows Live Mail to have all possible defects it can handle.

  • .sv2i Converter and Symantec System Recovery vCentre 5.0.0 files

    Hi all

Im hoping some of you might be able to shed some light on this for me,

We have one or more servers with Symantec System Recovery 2011 (ver. 10.0.1.41704) and we tried to convert files .sv2i across on an ESXi 5 server. However we seem to have mixed on conversions. To review the guide isn't too clear on if the Sys Rec 2011 is a product supported. Im hoping this is?

When we try to recover a server we get a "source parameters are invalid" and on a second server with the same version of Sys recovery he completed the conversion, but then the server does not start.

Anyone who has tried using the files of sv2i Symantec System recovery in this way or we're looking at a dead end?

IM happy to provide information on both servers ddditional needs this help the situation.

    Thank you very much

    Matthew

When we try to recover a server, you get a "source parameters are not valid.

As you have already discovered since the Release Notes-unfortunately - is not a supported version.

and on a second server with the same version of recovery Sys, he completed the conversion, but then the server does not start.

If the conversion is successful, you can verify if the virtual machine has been created with the appropriate virtual SCSI controller and run the VMware Converter with the option 'Configure the Machine' for the virtual machine inject the missing drivers.
