Update Windows KB2092914 won

Windows Update has landed in KB2092914. There is no error message. This is for Microsoft Works, which I don't use. I was able to install all other updates of all the 11/08/2010. Now every time I stop, I wonder to run the update and turn off.

I would like to delete KB2092914 download so that I do not receive this message. How can I do this?

Thank you

It's on a laptop Dell Studio running as Vista Ultimate 64-bit SP2

Since you do not use Microsoft Works, I think the answer is simple:
Panel--> programs (or programs and features)--> uninstall a program--> look for Microsoft Works and REMOVE it completely.  Why have too much space, getting (or not in this case) updates, etc. When you are not yet using the application?

I was able to update IE 11 manually, but that's all. I spent several days on this. Anyone got any suggestions?

  • Windows 7 won't find updates after installing SP1

I recently had to wipe my hard drive and reinstall Windows 7 Pro from the CD. The installation went well not spent, no errors, so I started the process to reinstall all updates. This process went so smoothly up to the installation of SP1. Once SP1 has been reinstalled, I tried to search for updates more (knowing full well there should be more since SP1 was released years ago). But the Windows Update 'search' for updates for hours without saying whether or not more updates are available. Usually, it takes a few moments for the Windows Update tool look up and see if it is or not updates available so I'm not sure what's going on here.

Thinking maybe something when reinstalling Windows 7 had been sloppy, I reformatted and reinstalled Windows 7 new. Same problem; Once SP1 is re-installed Windows Updater tool can't stop 'research' for updates. No code error doesn't pop up, the system works well, but I know there are several updates out there that need to be added.

Does anyone else have this problem?

    Thanks in advance!

Now go to C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution and remove all of its contents. In fact, this is the folder where the downloaded installation files were stored. But because Windows update sucks, they sort of problem with the partially downloaded update files.

Return to services again (as mentioned at the beginning) and this time start the Windows Update Service, right-click on it and select start. Try to update Windows again. It should work this time. (You may have to restart your computer if)

Not one of these updates, you reference are in my list of installed updates. The latest updates in the list come from 14/11/10. At this point, I am trying to get the update of windows to use until I have reinstall MSE or buy another anti-virus program. I think maybe that NOD 32.
