Hello:

Here is the service manual for your laptop.  Can be found in Chapter 3, beginning on page 3-5 supported wireless cards.

http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c01911053.PDF

Important note: you can buy only a wireless card that is listed in the manual and it MUST have the HP part number on it or it will not work. No ifs, ANDS or goals.

  • Update wireless card for Inspiron 5749

    Hello.

Really hope someone can help me out here... long story short, I want to pass the card in my i5749 a card of a/b/g/n dual band instead of the default b/g/n card. The thing is, if I can find a number of correct form factor cards, none of them explicitly declare that they are compatible with this model of laptop computer...

So, basically, I want to know if anyone else is in the same boat, or if someone has the expertise to recommend an a/b/g/n card that will certainly work with my laptop.

    See you soon!

    Hello

Officially, the only cards that we know who are tested and confirmed to work in this system are the maps of DW1705 and DW1704 Dell.   There may be other cards that work well in the system, but not sure that you can find a lot of response on the support boards.

If you have found any other cards you went to web pages and tables to see if one of their customers have used these maps on the Inspiron 5749 to the manufacturer?  Maybe it's a better source of opinions than what you would find here on these boards, support.

Can I upgrade the card wireless in m7-j020dx an ac wireless card?

    Joe - 123 says:

Can I upgrade the card wireless in m7-j020dx an ac wireless card?

    Hello

I think. Intel 7260AC worked for me on a M6-1000 series laptop and a Dv6-7000 series laptop, both architecture Ivy Bridge. Some portable series j000 TouchSmart Envy 15/17 are still sold with a chip wireless AC (probably the 7260 one). Envy 17 TS and M7 use the same manual and the 7260AC of Intel can run on your laptop because I saw the number of threads that confirms that the 7260AC of Intel works on TS Envy 15/17.

  • HP Envy 15-j092nr: update wifi AC for HP Envy 15-j092nr

Can someone help me understand if:

Can I upgrade my laptop wifi card to?

Is present in the list card white by HP?

    BT will work?

I have seen many forums that say it can be upgraded and some that I need to check the white list or perhaps BT will not work correctly. I don't want to be flipping of coins, so please help me before I go and spend my money.

    THX!

    Hello:

Unfortunately, you will need to return a coin.

No one knows exactly when HP removed the blocking of the BIOS.

It was about 15 months ago.

Because your PC has an Intel wireless card now, it should run any Intel card that you want to install, if there is no BIOS whitelist.

It was right around when your series came out that whitelist has been removed.

I would say that the chances of a different wlan card working in your favor.

  • AC update wifi card for dv7-6b77dx?

Hello.  I am considering buying a router using the new standard wireless AC and I wonder if there are cards wifi AC which are approved for use in the United States with the dv7-6b77dx?  I was looking specifically at the 7260HMW of Intel, but if there is no other AC wireless card that is approved for use, I'm open to alternatives.

If there is no not currently approved for use, is there any timetable when we get?  Thank you.

Well I never get all the points for this answer, but wi - fi laptops HP maps are locked. You can install a wireless cards HP offered from the factory. Here is the Manual:

    Manual

See pages 6 and 7 for your options.

I've never seen HP make additional wireless cards available with a BIOS update later. I don't think that HP offers a 802.11ac wireless on all models still card.

  • Wireless card for dv8t

    Hello all,.

I am looking for an internal card replace the Intel Wifi 5100 agn card that came with my machine.  I tried every fix posted in the forums and the updated drivers to V13.1.1.1 but is not connect with my Linksys wrt160n router.  He has no problem to connect with my wrt54g router, but wireless is a nogo.

I'm leaning towards it being the card because I can connect two routers with portable Gateway to my wife with a n Atheros wireless card.  So I tell myself another card to my Hp n wireless might work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, but I ended up solving the problem myself.  Stupid me, I forgot that the old G router has been on channel 1 in order to make it work in my house.  Because my building is old more than 125 years old and the walls are original.  This means that the plaster is maintained by a mesh of underlying lead.  It seems this degraded the signal wire and only channel 1 worked.  I went from the N-router to Canel and boom it works.  Didn't even have to disable N mode to operate.

Sounds weird, but it wasn't the problem.  Thanks again for all the suggestions.

I want the best available. I have attached a few photos. of the existing.

Thanks in advance for any help...

As your interest is to upgrade to an802.11b\g\n wireless adapter then you the simplest solution is to buy a Type I or Type II or Type III Cardbus wireless card.  You may need to search for this type of card in the second-hand market.

The card plugs on the the slots on the left side of your laptop.

There is no currently internal NIC that correspond to your laptop.

Your laptop is a generation of cell when only 802.11 a\b\g existed and that's what makes your best option cardbus cards.

  • Satellite P200 - update wireless card

    Hello

can anyone help? I want to upgrade the card wireless in my laptop n wireless, but I have a problem. I can't find where it goes.
I took all the above the bottom access panels, but I can't find anything.

Can someone point me in the right direction :)

    TIA

    Hello

I think that you do not find the installed wireless card because it is hidden under the keyboard.

But if you remove the keyboard and to upgrade the WLan card by yourself, then you will lose the warranty. You want to lose the warranty?

If I was you I would ask an authorized for this task.
    What is your opinion?

  • update graphics card for desktop PC HP Pavilion p6-2378

I am looking to update my graphics card for my PC. Those who would be the best for my computer?

    Gamer30, welcome to the forum.

I think that your handle explain what you want to do with the new video card.  Therefore, in my opinion, you have to upgrade the power supply (PSU), also.  The existing PSU is 300W.  Latest intermediate level maps require a minimum of 400 w to work properly.  These cards will be much better than the integrated video.

I like Corsair and OCZ PSU.  They are of high quality.  Here's one that should fit in the space provided and give some future upgrade room.  I would normally recommend at least 500W, but 500 or 600 w will work as well for your situation.  The computer does not use any more power there need work properly.  As a result, won't hurt the computer. I recommend you measure the PSU existing and comparing measures to whichever you choose.

I like the graphics cards XFX, EVGA, Sapphire and PNY in that order.  Here is one that you will give a boost to good performance and won't break the Bank.  I recommend you stay less than 9 "long.  This ensures that it fits in the space provided.

If you don't like one of the recommendations I have made, they will give you at least an idea of what works in your computer.  Always read the reviews to see what users have to say about any product you decide to buy.

  • M6-n010DX: Dual Band Wireless card for AMD based m6-n010DX

Recently bought a router ASUS RT-N56U dual band.  Works very well and offers 2 powered by USB port for network implementation 'server' hard drives.  Problem is that my laptop has only a single band wireless card.  Checked the "Maintenance and Service Guide" for the m6-n010DX and the ' Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 802.11 2 × 2 WiFi + BT 4.0 ac adapter Combo "is listed (page 4).   Thought it strange that an Intel card scored for a portable base processor AMD, but I decided to give it a try.   IT DID NOT WORK!   Does anyone know a card dual band wireless that works?

    Thanks for your help,

    Here's what he said.

  • Wireless card for g4 pavilion

I have a Realtek RTL8188CE 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter in my HP Pavilion g4-1311nr and I was wondering what other wireless cards are available for my model?  I would like to be able to connect to my 5 GHz wireless network and possibly to have bluetooth as well.  Thanks in advance.

    Hello:

Here is the link to the service manual for your laptop.  Supported wireless cards are listed in Chapter 3, pages 26 and 27.

    http://bizsupport1.Austin.HP.com/BC/docs/support/SupportManual/c02966468/c02966468.PDF

Looking at the list, unfortunately, there is no card dual band supported for your laptop. Who would be a card dual band (Realtek 8188BC8 802.11a/b/g/n 2 × 2 WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0 + HS adapter Combo), when people have ordered, turns out be a single band (2.4 GHz) only.

You cannot install any other card wireless, other than those listed in the service manual and they must have the part number HP on them or will not work.

Installing an unsupported wireless adapter will not go beyond the DESKTOP and will be rejected by the BIOS until the card is removed.

Click on the blue link driver next to the date to install this version.

The most recent one listed may not install unless you do it manually.

In any case, one of the most recent from 2012 will work. I think I got the last being installed, but I did it manually.
