updated block FOOD & card video on Pavilion HPE h8 - 1070t

I have studied various posts on this topic, but it could still use a recommendation please.   I want to improve my video card to a Radeon HD 7870 (first choice) or Radeon HD 7850 (second choice).  They all need two 500 watt supply.  I have a HP 460 watt stock in there.  I think to upgrade the PSU power SUPPLY Corsair CX600 or TX650 and wanted to check first.  My system:

HP Pavilion HPE h8 - 1070t (2600 i7 quad-core)

2 hard drives

1 Blu - Ray combo player

Windows 7 Pro 64-bit

Those are good pirates for my model and if so should I "V2" version of them?

Thank you!

Both the CX600 V2 Corsair and the Corsair TX650 V2 are power supplies, but because of the narrowness of the HP case and the little space between the power and CD/DVD/BluRay drives... I recommend that you install the slightly smaller CX600.

  • Pavilion HPE h8 - 1380t: video card upgrade for Pavilion HPE h8 - 1380t

    Hi all

I recently bought a map GTX1060 (from a MSI GeForce GT640) 4 year old GPU from nVidia in line in order to improve the capacity of my machine so that I would be able to play Fallout 4 and 3 Witcher (both put my poor old GT640 kneeling - even on lower resolution settings).  It is part of the case and the powers that be (Yes, I plug in the connector 6-pin PSU) and 600W POWER supply is adequate for the task, but I'm starting to think that I probably have a motherboard compatibility issue.

When I install the card and turn on the PC, it hangs at the splash screen of installation (a common problem from what I've already read on these forums) and that it goes no further (keyboard and mouse do not respond at this time here).  I contacted the nVidia support, and they suggested some changes to the BIOS (disable Secure Boot, activate the Legacy/MSC Mode and switching between legacy and UEFI BIOS selection Mode), but when I access the HP configuration utility (F10 on boot to top with GT640 card installed), these options are not put at my disposal.

Is it possible for me to access the BIOS settings that nVidia has indicated I should be adjusted?

This GPU card simply is not at all compatible with my motherboard?

    System Specs:

    HP model number: B4J28AV #ABA (Pavilion HPE h8 - 1380t)

    Motherboard: Pegatron 2ACE(Socket 0); 1.08; Intel Sandy Bridge-E Rev. 07; Intel Southbridge X 79 Rev 05

    BIOS: FRIEND 7.15

    CPU: Intel Core i7 3930 K (3.2 GHz)

    OS: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, SP1

Current GPU: MSI GeForce GT640; Driver 10.18.13.6881

If the GTX1060 is not compatible, which is the highest card GPU nVidia performance that can be used with this motherboard (given the limitation of power supply 600W)?

Is there another motherboard for this machine which would be compatible with my existing CPU and the GTX1060?

    Thanks for your help...

    Hello

    The h8 1380t has a Pegatron motherboard 'Pittsburgh '.

You could try to find a future revision of this motherboard. I'm also a 810-150se with a map of the 'Pittsburgh2' system that has UEFI. I use a card Nvidia GTX EVGA FTW 970 with excellent results.

You will need to check that the Review Board would fit in your frame.

    The other options are:

1.new want to expedition with Win 7 Pro, or

    2 falcon Northwest.

In a map of the main current system the permutation of Asus, Gigabyte or Asrock is difficult at best. You have to change other components such as the processor, heat sink, fan and the memory. You can probably buy an OEM of Windows 7 Pro version.

It becomes quite expensive when you do the math on all of the changes you will have to do. There is no guarantee that you can find a map of the main current system having the correct spacers for your chassis h8 - 1380t.

Avoid a Skylake processor if you can unless you don't mind jumping through a few extra hoops to install Win 7.

Please consult this article and go here for the workaround resolved the problem installing win 7.

  • Updated my graphics card for HP Pavilion Elite e9107c?

    Hi all

I want to update my graphics card for my computer, I can barely run settings means on most games these days, I never upgraded a computer in front of either, this was pre-built.

I am aware that the case is really small, but I'm not interested to buy a new computer/case. I want to just buy a graphics card and a power supply so I can run games like Guild Wars 2 and BF3 on medium-high settings. My computer can not handle same BF3 with resolution of 800 x 600, with windows, and graphic down, I get 10 frames per second at most out of it.

Then I would ask, what is the best graphics card that can fit in my computer? And her appropriate food to go with it?

    TECHNICAL DATA:

Computer name: HP Pavilion Elite e9107c

Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200(2.33GHz)

Graphics card: ATI Radeon HD 4350

    Power: 300W

    Motherboard:

    RAM: 8 GB

    32-bit operating system - Windows 7

I am sure that all this is true, if I'm wrong, you can check online, its pre-built and I have not touched since.

I don't know what my motherboard, is the one that comes with the computer, I found this out of a site, and I think it's good, I'm not too sure:

    Motherboard - PEGATRON CORPORATION / model: 1.01 Eureka3

I know either the size of the card, or the power supply.

Whatever it is it would help a lot! My computer is already 3 years old, and I can not play games like TF2 and Skyrim above 800 x 600 with the everything low-medium settings by getting 20 + FPS.

Thanks in advance for the answers, I will add more information, if I listed those are not sufficient.

    Navibol,

Looking at your specifications and the requirements of the games you listed, BF3 is most intense.

    (1) you must measure the length available. See here

    (2) I would recommend the EVGA GTX560 or GTX560Ti, see here

    3) the minimum POWER supply: 560 suggests a 450W power supply, the 560Ti suggests 500W PSU.

I would say the Rosewill 630 or Corsair 600 . I'm the Rosewill this bias.

    CORI, welcome to the forum.

The power supply unit (PSU) is external and only 180W.  In addition, there is no slot PCIe.  Therefore, you cannot upgrade the video card.

Hi, I wanted to update my graphics card. I also know that I would probably upgrade the PSU accordingly too.

I have been interested in the ti of EVGA GTX 750(click here for a specific card) but I read that they might be incompatible with my motherboard. Is this true? If so, what would be a suitable substitute?

    Here's my card

  • The card video HP Pavilion A6050Y up-dimmable?

    I have a Pavilion A6050Y, GC381AV, who owns a PS2 Merlot C REG, RoHS PSU 300W and a 256 MB Nvidia Geforce 7500LE graphics card.

It seems that the video card is dying and must be replaced, but HP no longer support this video card. So, I'm looking to replace not only it is possible to upgrade as well. However, I have no idea as to what I can already with or if I would need to replace/upgrade the PSU power SUPPLY or other components at the same time.

I'm not concerned with cost, just to be able to get the computer running properly without having to replace the computer itself.

    Hello

I gave you a recommendation for Doom 3 and not Battlefield 3.

What you need to do before buying a video card must take into account all your requirements of game then go to each of the forum and the website of the manufacturer game and know what others use and what game settings.

  • HP Pavilion Elite h8 - 1070t: updated graphics card for HP Pavilion Elite h8 - 1070t

Up to what series Gtx is compatible with this model on computer? I tried to install a Gigabyte Gtx 960 card to my pc and it was not compatible. I have read similar problems for older models of PC and I was wondering the compatibility for this particular model range.  In addition, Gtx 750ti will be compatible with this model?

    Thank you.

    Hello

Your PC is a PC old BIOS and most new graphics cards are active UEFI.

Most, if not all of the NVIDIA GTX 7xx and 9xx series graphics cards with some exceptions will not work on your PC. The BIOS of your PC is not compatible with these graphics cards.

The NVIDIA GTX 660 with a 600 Watt power supply will be all that you can do better.  The NVIDIA GTX 670 and 680 can also work, but they can be finicky in older PCs.

  • Will be GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB GDDR5 128-Bit card video work with HP Pavilion HPE h8-1010?

Hi, I need to update my graphics card and I was wondering if this graphics card work with my HPE h8-1010.

    EVGA GTX of GeForce G 02-P4-3757 - KR 750 Ti 2 GB 128 - Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 FTW w / ACX cooling video card

Everything on the PC is stock.

If this would not work, please tell me why not so that I can pick up another card that meets the requirements.

    Thank you much in advance.

Requirements for the EVGA graphics card

    • 300 Watt or greater power monophase.* *.
    • PCI Express, PCI Express 2.0 or PCI Express 3.0 compatible motherboard with a chart.
    • A PCI-E power connector 6 pin available.

For the EVGA card you will need a power 6-pin PCIe connector. Your PSU stock doping likely not have one so that means updated POWER supply required. PSU stock is a little power for the treatment as well. EVGA said minimum 300 Watt, but the majority of gamers and enthusiasts use 450 Watts minimum. For your Carmel motherboard, I would consider a MSI Radeon R7 250, 2 GB, PCI-E 3.0, card DirectX 11.2 rather than unity of EVGA. With an upgrade of the power supply or video card should work without problem. POWER supply upgrade: I highly recommend Corsair as a choice of valuation gamer and enthusiast. Great price for the value. A Corsair CX430 or CX600 PSU would be a great choice. The price is also quite reasonable. The cards are in the following link

  • Pavilion HPE 440F: need new video card for HPE-440F

    Salvation;

The ATI Radeon HD 5570 in my Pavilion HPE 440F appears to be dead, or is doing. The fan has stopped working and I think the map has overheated.

    I'm running Windows 7 x 64.

Anyway - I would like to install a new card - and best video. It is, since it is HP, I bet that not all cards are compatible with my system.

For example, I can buy an ATI Radeon SR-290, which gets much higher than my current card pass mark. Or maybe even a NVidia card might be a better value for the money.

Can someone point me to a list of compatible video cards for my system?

    Thank you

    Ubuntu_Kid

p.s. My Linux box is not an HP.

    Ubuntu_Kid, welcome to the forum.

The problem you are having is, most of the newer video cards require UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.  Your computer was released on August 26, 2010.

Some of the manufacturers have developed a VBIOS that will allow their cards to work with legacy BIOS.  I know that the EVGA has done with some of their cards.  I suggest to call their Tech Support (1888-880-3842) to see if they have a card that will work with your computer.

Please click on the Thumbs up button '+' if I helped you and click on "Accept as Solution" If your problem is resolved.
