  The French TV5Monde has a great toolbar called "the free dictionary of TV5Monde. After each update of Firefox, the toolbar disappears or doesn't work anymore. • I've updated to Firefox, The Free Dictionary has lost some essential features, cannot get back them. The DFT now only works in English. What should do?

  I updated Firefox to 10.0.2 and lost the functionality of The Free Dictionary. I reinstalled TFD, but now it only works in English. Say I read a German Web page, highlight a Word, the dictionary will seek in the English Dictionary. Before that I had all the versions I needed, and the dictionary automatically in the right. And before that I could have the toolbar installed, now there is no option for this either. What should I do?

  Maurizio salute, I asked you to a problem with the free dictionary. I found the solution, which in fact was not technical. In case someone else has the same, that's what I did not understand: when I highlight a word in a text in a language other than English, the dictionary gives me an explanation in English, i.e. 'not found word', but when I then press 'Search', the dictionary connect in the appropriate dictionary. It works even in Chinese! So, problem solved. The dictionary is not as good as before, but still, it works. Best regards, Markku

• Dynamics gp dictionary error must be updated to version 9.0

  Good day to all.

  There was a power interruption so that the users were in GP, when the server has been restarted I got the following error.

  \\Esp-gpsrv01\reports\reports dictionary must be upgraded. Use the MS Dynamics GP Utilities to update your modified forms and reports.

  When you select OK, another message appears: dictionary must be upgraded. Version 9.0.

  This error is only appearing on the server not the client machines.

  I went in the utilities and selectled Synchronize forms and reports dictionaries and I still get the error.  We use the GP10 and service Pack 3.

  If the field/tag existed it would replace it and if it did not exist it would add.  Is it possible to do in paragraph 12.2?  If yes how can I do this?

  Import workspace files does not apply in this scenario of particular importance.

  To import specific files, such as files of DDT in your extracted dictionary, you would first open (or create if it doesn't exist) your dictionary to extract data.

  This should display the open dialog box file that will allow you to check your XDD out of the library.

  Then, starting in the extract of data dictionary, select file, import.

  You should see the open file dialogue box

  

  Click on extract data

  then click on the Browse button

  which will display this dialog box

• Dictionary of synonyms not updated on all servers by using workbench

  When I update the thesaurus using the Workbench, only 2 / 3 of our servers updated. I checked the AppConfig.xml and 3 servers are configured in the cluster Dgraph.
  
  I found this error in the shell connects to the server that could not be updated:
  / bin/sh: emgr_update: command not found
  
  What is related to this issue? Is there other newspapers, that I should check for this?

  In the error message, I think that the ENDECA_ROOT environment variable is not set to the MDEX server in question. The emgr_update utility is located inside of $ENDECA_ROOT\bin (or %ENDECA_ROOT%\bin on Windows) so it seems logical with your error message. You should be able to fix, export it and re-run. Note that you will want to set this environment variable "persistent" by placing orders in init.d or something similar, depending on how your organization manages your Linux servers.

  Also, I agree with Frank, this really should be in the other forum as I imagine others will continue in this problem from time to time. If it works, please "cross-post" it.

• Update of data dictionary Apex

  I need to strip a text from all regions and pl/sql procedures that contain. I inherited an application that has references in all directions to the OWNER. TABLE_NAME. I would like to remove references to the owner.
  
  I thought that would work is to take an export and edit the file to remove the reference, and then re-import the file. Is there another way that can be done in place by updating the base of database tables?

  Export the file and replace the #OWNER #. string is the best way to go. Don't update the table of the apex.

  Go to settings > general > reset > reset keyboard dictionary and see if that helps.

  Yes, this is probably caused by the presence of a checker spell attribute = false as I posted above and it is probably caused by the way that this editor is implemented and only a problem that makes the current Firefox exit remove the "check spelling" in the context menu.
  
  In Firefox previous versions, you can always activate the spelling check in via the context menu, but it's is no longer possible with the deletion so that the point.
  
  You get an item "Add dictionary" is rather a bug that will be fixed in a next version.

  The current versions of Firefox hide spelling in the context of a text box menu if the web page disables the spell checking via a spellcheck = "false" attribute of this element.
  
  You can click right in the area of the text editor and use "Inspect element" to see if this text box has a spell checker attribute = "false".
