  Looks like you are using Adblock Plus that causing this problem.

  • Go to Firefox/Tools(Alt+T) > Adblock Plus > filter preferences > custom filters

  I tried the two installation via the finder plugin and manually download and install the .exe from the adobe Web site, but the plugin of flash/shockwave never gets listed on the list of plugins for Firefox.   I can't play any you tube or other videos require flash player. I've updated the flash playback still no video since I updated to 29 FF. Also, when I close the browser and reopen it won't allow me because Firefox is still running and I have to close it first even if it is closed.

  I had the same problem as well and I fixed it by running Firefox.exe as administrator.

  When I went to play Boggle Bash or Mahjong Garden on POGO.com yesterday, 24/02/2015, a pop up came and said that my flash player is outdated. After update 3 times, I still can't play my flash games on POGO using the Firefox browser. The same pop-up window appears indicating that my flash drive needs to be updated. I checked the current version, and it's the last one, 16.0.0.305 for Firefox and Windows 7. Why this update is not recognized? I went through the list of Adobe problems without success.   Hello.  My computer is running XP.  My cpu is Intel Core 2 Duo processor.  Sometimes I use Firefox and Chrome.

  Autoruns is the program Windows msconfig on steroids.

  Just download it, unzip it in our office or somewhere you can find it, run Autoruns.exe, enlarge the window, you can see everything and wait until it finishes populating the list of entries.

  When the Autoruns is finished scanning your system, it will say "Ready" in the lower left corner.  Autoruns can be a little intimidating to first if you have never seen it before because it displays a lot of information.  You are really interested only a few sections.

  Look at everything and log tabs and you can also see your scheduled tasks.  You can also click on the "Find" button (looks like binoculars) and looking for something to do with the 'rocket', and delete them. "."

  I bought this laptop brand new 4 months ago.  Everything worked well, until about 2 weeks ago.  Then all of an error message would come so I couldn't watch videos on YouTube or elsewhere more... saying "update your flash player"... so I would like to download the latest version of Adobe... it looks "download completed", but I could not even watch videos.  I am looking for the program and it seems.  I would go back to the Adobe site and the version that is on your computer is supposed to fill inside this box, well nothing does ever meet for me.  But when I go to "Programs and features", it is there... I can remove it, but can't do anything else and have no idea why there is a problem or what it is... but I seriously spent hours trying to rectify the situation. I'm ptaying that someone has encountered the same situation, or knows how to fix this for me.

  Try the following.

  First, download the Flash uninstall utility on the link below and save it to your desktop.

  Flash Player Uninstaller.

  Once the download is complete, close all browser windows and start the program uninstaller.  Once done, restart the laptop.

  Then, download and install Firefox , then using Firefox, download and install the latest version of Adobe Flash. Note: You can deselect the option to include McAfee Security Scan Plus before download. 

  Close all browser windows before you run the installer of Flash.

  Start Firefox and see if the video play Ok in this browser - if they do, close Firefox, open Internet Explorer and click on the same link Adobe Flash above to get a command prompt to install the ActiveX component.  Once completed, restart Internet Explorer.

  Have you tried:

  1 restart your computer to stop any Adobe processes that can run.
