Updated HP pop up message
Please forgive my ignorance, if I do not this word correctly, I'm trying to get a fix for this, although I'm not sure about setting up etc, my husband and her teenage daughter to handle this.
In December, we bought a non HP (Acer) laptop, and at the same time, we bought a wireless HP Photosmart Plus printer. We already have a router for my Affleck could have internet access (in the past, they had a Dell laptop and a Gateway laptop).
It is in our home network desktop pc, my laptop and MacBook for our daughter. All we have no problem using the wireless printer.
But I've noticed recently a HP blue box appears on the screen of my laptop and the desktop family, telling us that there are updates of HP. But when I click on this box, nothing happens. There is no 'red x' click on close, it is not the buttons to click on at all. I can click on it and move it around, which I do because it gets in the way when I work on computers, but I can't close or choose to accept and install the updates. This pop up notice does NOT appear on the screen of the MacBook.
Can you tell me if this is a valid update notice? If this is the case, why I can't understand how to install updates? If this is not the case, how can I get rid of him?
TIA and thank you also for your patience of my ignorance.
If by dragging the screen HP Update is not a long-term solution.
Please try this...

While on the internet a pop-up message appears and indicates that I have a virus. Security asks if I want to run "setup_build14501.exe" to microsoft.stide.info
Is this a legitimate program from microsoft or is it a virus, spyware or adware program?
Whatever your question/problem has to do with the Windows Update feature?
You are most certainly see the effects of a hijackware infection!
NB: If you had no installed anti-virus application or subscription has expired * when the machine was first infected * and/or your subscription has expired since and/or the machine is not kept fully corrected in Windows Update, don't waste your time with any of the following: Format & reinstall Windows. A repair install won't help!

If these procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, good reputation and stand-alone computer (that is, not BigBoxStoreUSA or Geek Squad) repair facility.

I get a notification to update when you connect to firefox on my mac. When you try to update, I get a message "connect to Server" which can go over 4 hours and never update. It is most annoying. How can I remove that annoying popup which does not in any case all in ensuring that I have updated to the latest version?
Some Firefox problems can be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox program files, and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:
Note: You can print these steps or consult them in another browser.
- Download the latest version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org office and save the installer to your computer.
- Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (click on quit in the file menu or Firefox).
- Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
- Windows:
- C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
- C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
- Mac: Delete Firefox in the Applications folder.
- Linux: If you have installed Firefox with the distribution-based package manager, you must use the same way to uninstall: see Install Firefox on Linux. If you have downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
- Windows:
- Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
- Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.
- Once the wizard is completed, click to open Firefox directly after clicking the Finish button.
Please report back to see if this helped you!
Thank you.

Why do I get a pop-up message on Flash?
When I use AT & T messaging, I get this pop-up message:
Your browser blocks Flash. You must have Flash 9.0 or higher installed and unlocked to run an openmail application. You can download and install the latest Flash Player here
But I already have the latest version of Flash.
FYI, this problem affects Google Chrome on AT & T/Yahoo users! mail thus: your browser blocks Flash - Google Groups. It is perhaps a script error in the e-mail system.
In this thread, it is said that if you can return to the "Classic" view in your Inbox, the problem goes away.

I recently pyurchased a new Dell running Windows Pro 10 and connected to my wireless HP6500A over my home network printer. I get a message that "computer Scan is enabled is no longer." The network connection to the computer has been lost.
He was noticed by the so-called "SCAN TO PC ACTIVATiON APP".
I ran analysis diagnosis several times, and while I have not tried to save a scan, I was able to scan and capture the scan on my DELL computer screen. It seems to me that the message indicating that the network connection has been lost is incorrect. So, my question is, how do I get rid of the pop-up message which seems to display every 2-3 minutes and is very irritating?
Thanks for any help.
Hello
Thank you for using the HP Forums. How to scan to computer
Once you have installed the software:
1. click the printer (on your desktop) and it will bring up the HP printer Assistant.
2. in the menu analyze, there is a 'manage Scan to Computer', click on that.
3. make sure that the option 'enable' Scan to computer"is DISABLED.Look at this resource and to ensure that it is "unchecked" (instead of ticked)

Safari has been blocked by a pop-up message?
Yes, so my Safari was just blocked by a pop-up message stating that I need to contact a special issue with Apple, but of course I did not think, it is a fraud... My only possible action was to cmd + Q and lose all my work... I could not click anything or cmd + W page!
Anyone tried this before?
< image edited by host to removed the serial number >
It is a very common scam of javascript and is safe, unless you follow the instructions.
Force to leave, then restart Safari with the SHIFT key is pressed.

I tried to use a tool of shmetsy.com for Etsy. I couldn't use it because of my version of Firefox - 3.6.23
I went 'On Mozilla Firefox' to check the updates and got the message "there is no update available"I don't know what versions of Firefox work with Shmetsy. They have a page system requirements? It is not in the very short FAQ...
You have later in the line of 3.6.
If you want Firefox 7, go to http://www.mozilla.org/firefox to get the installation program.
Normally, the major updates go without a hitch, but just in case, I recommend to backup your Firefox settings to cover you in the rare case that something is not going. See your backup information. (You can copy your profile folder Firefox together somewhere outside the Mozilla folder).
