  I am running with Vista SP 2 and since June, I have had many updates windows installation failures and get error 641 80070641 and just. Also have had difficulties to install other software. Tried to download Fixit but it wouldn't install and gave me an error 641 and message saying cannot connect to windows install and it could be installed incorrectly. I changed nothing because it has worked well.   What anti-virus program do you use?  If you do not, or if it is outdated, because you have not paid for a subscription, I would suggest you uninstall and install Microsoft Security Essentials free instead.  It updates everyday, but never requires a subscription or payment, and it's free.

  I was pulling my hair re the incompatibility of iCloud and Outlook of Office 365 2016.  I finally got things to work on three of my computers - which are on the latest version of Windows 10.

  The steps that worked for me:

  (1) uninstall the plugin iCloud (what version you have); the uninstall may fail but if so don't worry as step 3 below overlays some iCloud plugin version you have installed

  (2) open the Control Panel, uninstall, change/repair Office 365; Select fast repair

  (3) reinstall iCloud plugin (version 5.1), then restart the system by following the instructions

  (4) after the reboot, plug in iCloud application Apple ID and password; Make sure that you enter your apple with the suffix icloud.com ID (e.g., [email protected])

  (5) check the iCloud options to your will (e.g., photo synch, synchronization of bookmarks, sync mail/calendar, etc.)

  (6) check apply it, leave the work plugin iCloud for a minute, when he finishes, check the closing

  (7) open Outlook 2016 and check your calendar or contacts or anything that you indicated in step 5, that you want to synchronize with iCloud.com

  I am wandering how I would go about installing and running Windows 98 and more on a virtual machine, if that is at all possible. Also if it is possible what is the oldest that we can run on a virtual machine?

  It's just for fun and I'm kind of feeling nostalgic lol. I am aware that the new and latest OS is Windows 10 I have and like you.

  I am currently a student at CompTIA now and think practically I realize that the chances of ever falling on a user with Windows 98 are extremely low.

  I saw a show called Winworld PC that I can have a look at. However, I also wanted to check to see if you guys have any other recommendations.

  KB953297 would not - install error 0x66A code - so I've applied for support online 5 days ago. After 3 days, I got a response. I tried the solution, which involved the cleaning of dotnetfix tool. Subsequently, 953297 successfully installed, but now I get a message from "NET framework initialization error".  Not surprisingly, many programs don't more run properly, including MS Office and Acrobat Reader. In addition, there are a new update (KB95184) that is not installed. In short, it's a mess! I sent screenshots and vslog for the updated media type there is 24 hours, but I have not heard of him. It's a bit like watching paint dry: 5 days now!

  I think the problem is that I have no uninstall/clean and reinstall .NET Framework 3.5 (because the instruction of human support does not include this step).   Whenever I try to install an update through Windows Update, I get the same error: 0x8000FFFF. I tried the solution given here, but these registry values do not exist in my registry so the problem is something else. I was not able to install an important update in a very long time (some updates requiring installation go all the way back for 2009!). Because of this window will let me install Internet Explorer 9 and Security Essentials. Updates only that it allows me to install Silverlight and Microsoft Office updates are, are not as important as the updates of security and whatnot. Any help?

  At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

  When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
