Update not recognized after reboot

I downloaded the upgrade LR6 (for my LR4) and whenever I restart my computer I have to reinstall the upgrade.  Help.  The only error message I receive when installing, it's that "Setup has detected that a reboot of the machine can be pending."  I installed as well without taking into account this decision AND rebooted my computer and try again.  Help!  (I'm not on CC)

Hi cdustinphoto

Get you "Ignore" and "Quit" when you try to install the application? If so, please click 'ignore' and move on. We would also like to know the version of the operating system that you use and it would be great if you could share the screenshot of the message.

  • Pavilion p6210t: CD/DVD HP Pavilion p6210t drive is not recognized after upgrade Windows 10

HP Pavilion p6210t DVD/CD drive is not recognized after the upgrade to Windows.  DVD/CD material is: LightScribe16XmaxDVD + / R/RWSuperMultidrv.  I can't find an updated driver for this device, download and install. Thanks for any advice you can provide.

Thank you for your response.  I can't find somewhere - it now despite a lot of research - I read on a very simple solution to this problem which is (was) affecting hundreds of users HP.  In essence, the solution said that the DVD drive has in fact been recognized [as evidenced by his appearance in the BIOS] but has been "identified" and how to fix this problem was to go into the DEVICE MANAGER and delete the incorrect identification reference - then restart the computer and Windows 10 would correctly identify the DVD player and correctly in the DEVICE MANAGER list.  I decided to try this simple fix before one of the more complex solutions that were offered.  The simple solutioon worked!

  • The mouse settings not saved after reboot/restart

I'm changing the speed at which my mouse pointer moves on the screen.  I'm doing a 'demand' the change, and then click on 'ok '.   The point of the mouse moves faster in the game.  Then after reboot/restart the computer, the mouse setting is default slower movement speed.   The changes are not saved after reboot.   What keeps the change of speed of movement of the mouse to be saved?

    Mr. Brian,

Please, try the following steps.  This should allow you to keep all the settings in the SetPoint software at the same time to solve your problem.

    1. click on the Start ORB, type msconfig in the Search box and hit Enter
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue

    2. in the System Configuration dialog box, click the Startup tab
    3. Locate the entries called KHALMNPR or similar and uncheck the box next to them (there may only be a)
    4. click OK and restart your computer
    5. after reboot, change the speed of your mouse pointer and restart

This should solve your problem.  Please let us know.  Thank you.

  • USB printer not recognized after Windows update

    OT: usb device not recognized

After that suddenly stop, reboot, done, the device is plugged in where the printer indicates that it does not recognize the device. I said abattissent unplug it and reconnect it and if it doesn't work me to replace... I re install the driver for the Hpdeskjet940c but nothing works...

    Hello grasshopper.

This problem may be caused mainly by broken printer drivers, this could have been caused when you installed the updates. I suggest that you start with a restoration of the system on the computer by choosing a restore point when it was working fine.

    a. Click Start, type system restore in the search box and then in the list click on the system restore program.

    b. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    (c) in the System Restore dialog box, click on choose a different restore point and then click Next.

    d. in the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next.

    e. click Finish.

You can see the following article for reference:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/products/features/system-restore

You can also try driver restore on the computer and check if it helps.

To roll back a driver in Windows send the driver to the version that was finally installed for the device. Restoring a driver is an easy way to return a driver for a working version when a driver update fails to fix a problem or maybe even a new problem.

    a. open the Device Manager. To do this, click Start, type device in the area Manager search and then click on Device Manager in the list programs.

    b. right click on the device for which the previous version of the driver is desired and then click Properties.

    c. click the tab drivers.

    d. click on Roll Back Driver.

  • Satellite Z30 - A - 12R BIOS password not recognized after update BIOS

I updated the bios after that I warned the Bios of Toshiba v3.50. The process was done by the utility software of Toshiba and after restarting it has 'password =' on a blank screen and it does not recognize my BIOS password, write not 'certified '.

I also tried the HARD drive password, but no luck.

    What can I do now?

    Hello

Before you try to update the BIOS, all passwords must be removed!
BIOS password can be removed by the authorized service provider available in your country.

But the unknown HARD disk password can be removed more.
In such a case the HDD isn't accessible and cannot be used.

Mate sorry but in my opinion that you only have one chance to get the BIOS password removed. you need the help of ASP.

  • G570 bluetooth not recognized after update to 8.1 windows

This is a very unusual problem, and I have not found one post on this anywhere!

First of all my specifications specifications

    Lenovo G570 (reference number: 43345JU)

    i5 - 2410M

    8 GB RAM

    Qualcomm-Atheros AR9285 WLAN

do not know the brand of bluetooth (for most broadcomm)

    Provided with Win7 Home premium x 64

The Win7 it came with also had lenovo energy management through which I could toggle the WIFI and bluetooth on and outside. Given that I've never used the bluetooth, I turned it off via Power Mgmt.

Interestingly, when I was running Win7 I also had this dual boot with Ubuntu. And if my Bluetooth has been disabled through the win7... EM bluetooth wouldn't be recognized in ubuntu and there was no way to turn it back on... I had to start again under win7 and turn it on via EM and start in ubuntu.

Recently, I updated to Win8.1 but had not put on the bluetooth before doing so. In Win8.1 bluetooth device is not recognized everywhere... no PC settings (metro UI), not even in Device Manager. I tried to install the energy management to 8.1 from the support site, but he was extremely buggy and found no option to activate bluetooth. The old EM has not installed correctly in comaptibilty mode.

In ubuntu now (dual boot with win8.1) its still the same. Bluetooth not regonised just like before.

I can't go back to win7 now. There is no correct EM to win8.1. There is no option in the BIOS about bluetooth.

How can I activate the bluetooth adapter? ANY help is appreciated...

    Hi neokenchi,

Please help out me. Yes, I had tried to install win7 EM but trotted in compatibility problems. But now started digging through the forums and found a link to EM that works on win 8 and 8.1 of victory. It has even installed the power controller driver virtual lenovo APCI.

  • DVD player not recognized after the upgrade to windows 8

I write this to document some odd behavior, that I lived after the upgrade to Windows 8 in the hope that it might save some grief for others.  Of course, if someone could explain why this problem occurs, I'd be very interested/grateful for an answer.

I recently updated my computer from Vista Ultimate to Windows 8.  I did a clean install of Windows 8, because there is nothing special about the machine I wanted to preserve.  In all cases, the upgrade went without a hitch and I was soon back up with Windows 8 as my OS (I really like, btw).

The only oddity I noticed after the upgrade is that my DVD drive was not recognized by the operating system.  Remember, this is the same DVD player that was used to install the OS, so I found it rather peculiar.  After a bit of lost time, try software solutions theoretical I started to play with the equipment.

My motherboard is an ASUS M3A78-EM.  My hard drive is attached to the SATA1 port and my DVD player is plugged into the SATA2 port.  I removed the DVD drive from SATA2, plugged into SATA3, restart Windows 8 (from HDD on SATA1) and Windows 8 now recognizes the drive!

I thought it was really weird, so I stop, put the DVD on SATA2 drive, rebooted, and the drive was no longer available in Windows 8.

OK, so I thought that maybe the SATA2 channel was bad (even if he had worked at the Windows 8 DVD installation, just an hour or two before), so I put my HDD on SATA2 and the DVD drive on SATA1.  After doing this, Windows 8 start very well (so there is nothing wrong with SATA2), and it recognizes the DVD on the SATA1 drive.

OK, so I did that for a while, and virtually all combinations I tried worked as long as the DVD player is not plugged in SATA2.

I cannot live with that, but thought it was really strange.  Also, I note that the old operating system (Vista) was acknowledging the same DVD player while it was plugged on SATA2.  This leads me to believe that the problem has something to do with Windows 8, but I can't imagine what could be the cause.

Thanks dude.  After you create this registry key/value and restart Windows 8 was able to finally see my DVD drive on SATA2.  =)

  • Laptop Toshiba DVD RD/CD RW ROM not recognized after Vista installed

My Toshiba laptop which has Windows Vista cannot read my ODD.  A month ago I had the same problem which was worst, could recornize not WEIRD at all.  Now, it recornizes ODD, however, after the execution of this program to fixhttp://support.microsoft.com/gp/cd_dvd_drive_problems, still reads at all.  Please help me!

    Hello

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
    below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward
cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
Burn and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
    do it right.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are
the entries in registry that the troubleshooter does not solve and those who "might" be the cause.

Check with your Maker system and a device for the two possible firmware updates and
the correct registry entries for your car.

Here are the keys that I of course are those in question - for the subkeys of the CD/DVD drive
as there will be other subkeys in these keys. Do not forget to ask specific keys involved as well as
    the parameters.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\IDE
