  I was terribly disappointed that the recent update the software for the Z10 had some great features that were not included in the original version but of great practical use.   Here to find the solution for my beloved BlackBerry Z10 STL100-3

  One day, precisely 26 May 2016 my Z10 battery Blackberry went below 5% or something, I rushed to connect it to the charger but before doing so; It is just off. I plugged in the charger for several hours, but it went to reboot mode as he went to the course passed. It just kept flashing empty battery symbol.

  Z10 was connected to the wall charger and all the tips/advice you mentioned have been tried. He could not start device.

  Before trying the ADF, to check if battery is dead or defective; I kept it in my brother Z10. The battery was load and after a while, he turn the unit on its own.

  However, the pile of work of Z10 my brother could not initialize my camera. I guessed corrupted software connection or the battery could be a problem.

  I carefully observed battery connection ports, specifically the part that establishes the conncetion of metal tabs of the battery with the unit (given in the image http://www.gsmzone.co.uk/Blackberry-8900-Z10-Battery-Connector).

  I found one of the metal connector stuck / out partially / fits loosely / spring-movement irregulars / and is not able to communicate perfectly with the metal strips of the battery.

  I tried to solve this problem by manually removing the metal connector. After several test, I managed to do it.

  I put my battery in my Z10, he acknowledged, and red LED flashed, name BlackBerry flashed, Blakberry OS Reload icon flashed-has increased 100%, Blackberry 10 name flashed and Z10 began. Device came to operational status.

  Current operating system version is 10.3.2.2836.

  No SIM or media inserted in it.

  I use voice control on my BlackBerry Z10 to try and send a BBM message to my wife on his BlackBerry Curve 9320. I added him as a BBM contact. But the voice command tells me that his name is not a BBM Contact when I use it. So I'm not able to do.
  I used the voice command to send SMS text message and dial his number and his mail without problem. Is there a compatibility issue? Can I use BBM without voice command to send a message, but also to voice chat.

  I can't get this Z10 updated past 10.1.0.2019. I google and serached and read tons of messages, but I get a bit of luck.

  Details of the phone:

  • Z10 BB
  • STL100-3
  • Version SW 10.1.0.2019
  • Network at & T (USA)

  Things I've tried:

  • OTA: Fails with "no software upgrades available"
  • Update in IE Web site: "There is no updates of BlackBerry device software"
  • BB link (downloaded the latest 1.2.4.28 on Windows 7): "you BlackBerry device has the latest software available.
  • I did a reset to restart the device to the factory settings
  • I removed the SIM card (and the battery)
  • I turned off location services

  Everything I read indicates that there should be at least an update 10.2.1.x available, I'd be happy with that. 10.3.x would be great, but I'm not holding my breath.

  Any ideas?

  What you describe is "automatic"... Update methods which are completely controlled by your carrier regarding whether you want to receive updates with these methods.

  If you want to bypass the controls of your carrier and update in any case, your choices are Knowyou (non-destructive data) and the automatic charger (100% destructive to your existing data).

• BlackBerry Z10 BB 10.2.0.424 updated - messaging problem

  We have updated BB 2, Z10s from one day to the next.  Now the phones will allow us to send an email but not receive.  Account information shows not connected.  When we opened the account to change you see a message that says: an unexpected problem occurred with xxxxxxx - [email protected].  Some features doesn't work maybe not properly.  Scroll dow shows that no password didn't put in the e-mail address or for SMTP.  Enter a password for both and selecting Save the results in the message not connected above, putting us in a loop.  Suggestions - restart several times did not help.
