Updates to security for IE 7 & Windows Vista April 2009
I was invited as usual to download updates, or to Internet Explorer 7 and Windows Vista security update (April 2009) and after doing so (there was 7 updates altogether), I couldn't access Internet Explorer. Whenever I open the browser, it says that the page is not found. I was able to access Yahoo and MSN Messenger, but the web browser will bring up all of the web pages. I had to do a restore of the system to access the Windows Home page to see if other people have faced this problem. I'm not savvy computer very, given any guidance would be appreciated.

I was alerted to an automatic update titled "Cumulative Security Update for IE8 to Windows XP (KB2360131)." I think that he has downloaded, but whenever I try to install it, the process fails. In other words, I click on 'Install', initialization takes place and then it appears the installation, but it fails. No error code is given, only one window that opens to say "some updates could not be installed." I see that some 7 and Vista had problems, but does anyone have suggestions for XP SP3? Thank you.

How long Microsoft will send updates of security for Vista? Office 2007?
How long Microsoft will send updates of security for Vista? Office 2007?
With all the hype about "the end of XP" I wonder how long Vista will continue to be updated with the Microsoft security updates? Already I replaces my two XP PC with Windows 8.1, but my wife still loves its Vista and wants to stick with it. She also and like Office 2007 and I wondered about this as well. Microsoft Security Essentials runs on it and has been without problems so far. How long she will be able to use this computer until it is not the choice like me with my XP PC? (I miss you)

Hi, I recently installed a series of updates to security for vista sp2 final, but now I've lost my Internet connection...I can get into safe mode with network and get on this path ok but obviously not ideal.I can see the latest patches from the Control Panel, etc., but when I want to uninstall the latest series does not appear. Anyone know how I can uninstall these and again one by one to find the culprit.Pulling my hair so any help greatly appreciated.
Borrowed from Try3
You have McAfee? McAfee has been updated at the same time as the last batch of updates from Windows 7 and this is the cause of problems of internet connection for most, if not all, users of McAfee.
See the communication from this "criticism" - McAfee
You should make the fix McAfee, if necessary. There are corresponding communications for their enterprise products.
I hope this helps.

My computer does not have install 2 updates several times over the past 3 months.
I followed the KB for each items and tried to rename the Windows Update temporary download folder, so as to install manually, without success. They are updates of security for Silverlight (KB 2512827) and MS PP 2007 (KB2535818). I don't know what to try next. I run Windows Vista Business 32-bit.
