  • Why do I get the updates of Windows for versions of basic 86 & 64, when I run 32 based version?

I have Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 and the type of system is the 32-bit operating system. I just installed IE 9 and things are fine. I do not understand why I am receiving updates of Windows for versions of base 86 & 64 marked important. (examples are KB 2541763 & 2545698, to name a few). I'm no computer expert and am totally confused as the updates, I need to install. I don't have not updated automatically to download/install, so I look at them and the support information before that I have to download/install the. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hey Chick,

x 86 is often used instead of 32-bit: this is the same thing.

If you get 64-bit updates, then maybe they refer to the two but you should have gotten the one matching your system.  You may have missed the fact that they apply to both 32-bit and 64-bit - although each requires a different version of the update.

The two examples of KB were available for x 86 and x 64 versions.  If your system checked and has presented, then it should be adapted to your system.  If still interested, you can always go to the Microsoft Download Center and choose the one that you specifically want and download and install manually.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • How to do the updates just announced for Photoshop CC?

How can I get updates just announced for Photoshop CC because my version is 14.2.1 x 64 and also shows to date. However, there is no sign of the new direction selection tool or fuzzy, etc. in the program.

You should have seen a lot of updates in the application creative cloud with the label '2014' after them. Once download you them, they are actually quite distinct from the installed instances, so you will have both 'Adobe Photoshop CC' and 'Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 "on your system. Be sure to run the version of 2014 to see what's new.

This problem occurs when the agent Windows Update Wups2.dll file is incorrectly registered in the registry. Because registry files that correspond to the Wups2.dll file are missing, update facilities have failed. There are two methods to resolve this issue, use method 1 first, and if it did not resolve your issue, go to method 2

Method 1: Save the Windows Update files

    1. click Start and type notepad in the box start the search .

    2. click on Notepad in the programs list.

    3. copy the following commands, and then paste them into the opened Notepad window:

    REGSVR32 WUPS2. DLL/S
    REGSVR32 STINKS. DLL/S
    REGSVR32 WUAUENG. DLL/S
    REGSVR32 WUAPI. DLL/S
    REGSVR32 WUCLTUX. DLL/S
    REGSVR32 WUWEBV. DLL/S
    REGSVR32 JSCRIPT. DLL/S
    REGSVR32 MSXML3. DLL/S

    1. in Notepad, on the file menu, click on record under .

    2. in the list record under , click all files .

    3. in the file name box, type register.bat .

    4. save the Register.bat file to your desktop.

5 right-click the Register.bat file, and then click run as administrator . Collapse this includes this image if you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or click continue .

    6. try to install the updates again.

  • Is there a problem with the latest update of Windows for Vista (January 13, 2016).

After installation of 10 updates by restarting, through phase II and restart again my display driver stopped working so there is nothing on the screen. The disc did something for about 20 minutes, but there is no signal on the screen (yellow light instead of green).

I had to do a restore, but Windows guard eager to make the same update, leaving me in the same position with no display.

    What should I do?

    Hello

Microsoft gives sometimes you updates for the 3rd party hardware: graphics, network cards, etc.

You should only get the latest drivers for them to real hardware manufacturer's website, as Microsoft normally does nor those have the most recent drivers available as Microsoft relies of the 3rd party hardware Manufactuer to provide.

But unfortunately, the only way to know which is the update of the problem is to install them one by one, until you find the 'wrong' for your installation.

You can do a system restore to get back until it has been installed (which is NOT the best way to remove an update) or follow this method:

    'Remove an update'

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/remove-an-update

When you have found the issue of update of the list of updates which is presented > then right click on the update problem > select Hide update > and it will not be available to you once again

"Understanding Windows Update and Extras in Windows Vista and Windows 7.

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/Windows-Vista-updates-and-extras/

    Or the other of these two update settings will give you the chance to see what you want to install through Windows updates;

Download updates but let me choose whether to install them - if you select this option, Windows will download the updates on your computer, but not install them automatically. If you want to install updates, then you must install them manually. You should only select this option if you have a reason to not install updates automatically. Only advanced users should use this option.

Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them - if you select this option, you'll be alerted when there are new updates available for download and install. You can then choose to download and install the updates that you want. This option should really be reserved for people who know exactly which updates they need, or those who have little access to the Internet.

But remember you normally only have problems with hardware 3rd party drivers. Other updates are to improve the Performance and security of your system

    See you soon.

  • Latest updates of Windows for Nvidia 9500 gt, causing problems

I have a Nvidia 9500 GT vidocard in my pc running Windows 64-bit edition and do not use the pc for gaming.
All stable and fine until the batch of updates from windows in March.
I installed all the updates (major & optional); the optional updates included a large for Nvidia.
the pc then started freezing whenever I closed Firefox or IE.
Tried the following, but without success:
    (a) Firefox reset
    (point) - did not work!
    (c) push dirver; didn't work...

The situation recovered by retrieving the Acronis backup January State system.

In the face of the long list of windows updates, I installed only the important windows ones and the optionals left, including NVIDIA.

Everything is stable throughout the rest of the month of March and until this week.

Monday 8 I got Acronis backup of what had been the stable system.
Tuesday, last batch of updates has arrived and I installed all the more important. Creating restore point and installed separately all the accessories (including the NVIDIA), creating another restore point.

No prize for guessing that freezing after closing Firefox or IE started!

Tried a), b) and c) above again, all without success, and finally allowed to restore pc Monday using Acronis.

When I checked then windows updates, NVidia is now shown as important (not an option).

I installed all the updates (except Nvidia) and ok at the moment.

I'm tempted to follow "if it isn't broken, don't fix it approach" by ignoring the Nvidia Important Update.

Are there reasons why this should cause me problems?
Is it possible to hide this update Nvidia Important so that I can't install it inadvertently with the next batch of updates Windows Important?

Thanks for the info about the system restore. I hope that the system remains stable and that I won't have to see if safe mode system restore work - fingers crossed.

Would appreciate your comments on my approach to ignore "NVidia Important Update" in my opinion, is the problem cause and hide in Windows Update.
