Upgarde E4600 cpu on ECS 945GCT-HM motherboard

Hi guys,.

I have a Compaq SR5271AP desktop computer with motherboard ECS 945GCT-HM. Recently, I received a processor core E4600 2 and I was wondering if it can be installed on the motherboard.

I searched the web but not found an exact answer. I know that this pc, motherboard and processor is a bit OLD but I really hope that someone can help me... Thank you very much!!!

Hello:

From what you have posted above, there should be no need to update the BIOS from your version is 07/04/2008 and is the same version.

You will not be able to update the BIOS using W7. There are too many risks since it was written for Vista, it will be trash of your PC.

I don't think there is only a BACK based flash option with this update of the BIOS, so it must be done in Windows using a supported operating system.

my laptop a Toshiba Satellite P100-188 pspa3e or something, 1.8 duo core centrino t2400 to a yanoh of 2.3 t2700, I disassembled it me equipped with the new processor.

I've been running it for a week, without any problems with the heat, the fan deos doesn't come not only the last time or anything like that, normal perfectley except faster.

Anyone do deos I would recommend using the heat of grease on the processor and makesure you wipe off the old grease.

Can I upgrade my ram too?

First of all it information great s that you were able to upgrade the processor to a faster, BUT unfortunately; You warranty is no longer valid

So if something goes wrong turn (in the future), then you will have to pay for the correction!
If I would be so I wouldn't guarantee

However, request you the upgrade of RAM?
Yes, of course it is possible to upgrade the RAM s.

You can upgrade the RAM to 4 GB max, but I think that is not necessary because the 32-bit Windows will recognize only 3GB due to the limitation of the 32 bit OS!

Anyway, the compatible modules are: DDR2 667 MHz (PC2-5300) 200 - PIN SODIMM

    Hello, I have a mother board Μatx-H61-Joshua. (It's a P6 PC - 2260ea HP)

    You need a BIOS update.

When it says that a CPU is supported in the motherboard specifications document, this means that the BIOS support is already present.

  • Card mother compatible ECS MCP73VT-PM please. I need a motherboard that can hold in HP IMEDIA X 2414

Boots of my HP DESKTOP IMEDIA X 2414 (bought from PC World UK 2.5 years) is no longer.
    TECHNICAL DATA:
    MATERIAL:
    IMEDIA X 2414
Intel Core 2 QUAD processor Q6600
    3 GB DDR2 #320 GB 7200 RPM SATA HARDISK
NVIDIA: GEFORCE 7050 up to 1407 MB
    P/N: PB80128501
    [Personal information]
PROBLEM: Switch on computer and you get NO SIGNAL on monitor LCD ACER.
    MY STEP BY STEP TOUBLESHOOTING:
1 Unlpug monitor and a card on my laptop (very good for my laptop boots) so WATCH not IS NOT THE PROBLEM.
2 replace MY power supply with a new power supply, no change (IE NO SIGNAL appears ON the screen LCD ACER), PSU (Power Supply Unit) is not the problem.
    3. REMOVE 2 DDR2 RAM cards, switch on the desk, and I get a continuous beep. Apparently
This suggests that the motherboard (ECS MCP73VT-PM) is good.
4 reinstall the 2 DRR2 RAM cards, insert a new external graphics card, unplug the monitor from
Graphic INTEGRATED card and plug it into an external graphics card, turn on the computer, result: ALWAYS
NO SIGNAL on the monitor, so graphics card isn't necessarily the problem.
    5. extract the whole motherboard of the computer case, use my magniflying glass to inspect
all the capacitors. No capacitor doesn't show any corrosion to their background, no bump on top, without leakage
any where. Then I remove the (intel Core 2 QUAD processor Q6600) processor, check it carefully.
    no leakage.
(6 reinsert the processor, turn on the computer, yet I get NO SIGNAL ON monitor)

    Question: What is my problem
Answer: My motherboard is faulty and I can't find the fault.
Now, I want to replace the motherboard together and then to reuse my 2 DDR2 RAM and processor cards
on a motherboard which must be geometrically compatible with ECS MCP73VT-PM motherboard.
Could you tell me what kind of mother I have to buy. I am absolutely sure that my 2 DDR2 RAM cards are still usable because I tested them on another computer that can boot up. I do not know
on the processor, because I was not able to test it on another machine.
Help, please. MY new motherborad should be able to adapt in the case and has compatible
    audio.

    Hello

I have a Tecra M5-127 with a 1.66 CPU. I asked the telephone support line Toshiba regarding the upgrade of the processor.
They told me that the CPU is integrated to the motherboard! Is this correct?
If not, no one knows until the CPU can spend? If you don't know do you know where I can find the motherboard specifications?

    Thank you very much

Unfortunately, CPU cannot be upgraded. Check it please this Toshiba document - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB9401AX0001R01.htm

What you can do is to RAM and disk HARD upgrade. Check the specs of the laptop and increase the RAM up to the maximum limit.

  • 15 - ac130ds: Cpu

I want to improve my Intel Pentium CPU A Intel i5 4690 k CPU I can? Also I can do it cooled down with a

No. "Pentium" models use the series Trail Bay of processors, in your case the N3700. The manual is here:

    Manual

Page 18 lists the cards system and there is another, one for each processor option, which means that the CPU is soldered to the motherboard. In other words, to change the processor would replace the whole motherboard. They are hard to find and expensive, at best.

Insofar as the liquid cooler, have you looked at the cooler unit next to the laptop and tried to understand how you would fit it in there? It is not possible.

Yes! You have the APU A8 - 5545M

    You can install this:

    AMD A10 - 5745M (2.1 GHz/2.9 GHz, 4 MB L2, 1333 MHz DDR3L), quad core, 25 W Max DDR3L - 1333

Here is the service manual you'll need to do the replacement. It is not a simple thing, I want to clarify.

    Repair manuals

It is a faint but noticeable performance bump. On these models, the video is embedded in the processor so upgrading to the A10 will result to install a slightly faster both side video system. It runs more quickly a few fps on games.

Oh, and it's not a matter of just replacing a processor. On this model, the CPU is soldered to the motherboard, need to replace the whole motherboard. This is the part you need:

    AMD A10 - 5745M (2.9 GHz/2.1 GHz, 4 MB L2, 1333 MHz DDR3L, quad core, 25 W) for use with Windows Standard HP Pavilion 17 Notebook PC

The Board of Directors is available for about $175 more shipping on eBay:

I have a feeling that this 6300hq of 2.3 GHz i5 is not going to get me very far.  I was wondering if my specific model has been upgraded and if so, what processor I could install.  I did work on my old Pavilion 15, the replacement of the CPU and RAM, so I think that I am able to upgrade myself.

In addition, my CPU is bottlenecking my GPU, that is a problem that I use the laptop for games.  I currently have the GTX 960 m 2 GB, if you think I'm wrong.

The manual is enigmatic at best but if you have read and worked with some of them and made a swap processor or 2, it is obvious that the CPU is soldered to the motherboard. Dead giveaway: no lising processor as spare part. Second gift dead: no image to remove the processor. S. 51 of the manual shows a representation of the fo processor soldered on. 3rd dead... do the replacement motherboard description includes the processor included with Office. See p. 52. • Satellite A10-131 CPU upgrade

I want to change the CPU in my machine. I wonder if she would support PIV - M 2, 6 GHz with 512 KB L2 or PIV Centrino 2 GHz with 2 MB of L2 cache. Can someone help me? I know that I can swap the CPU in this machine, because I did it earlier. I just want to know if it supports these processors I mentioned.

    Thank you

    Hello

As much as I know this device was delivered with an Intel Celeron 2.5 GHz 400 MHz FSB Processor
Usually it s not advisable to change the processor on the laptop because of an overheating issues and pre-installed software (ie. utility chipset). For most the CPU is fixed on the motherboard and you cannot remove the cpu.
He should also know that if you change the CPU or you open Notepad, you will lose the warranty.
In this case, you can do any replacement at your own risk!

  • CPU upgrade question

Hello. With me, I have a laptop HP's CTO 2000z-300. It's a great laptop! everything is great and has all the requirements, it needs, except for the fact that is equipped with a processor of amd E-300 series, which has a speed of 1.3 gHz. that's really frustrating and really keeps me from running various software I want. I would switch to 2 GHz, but based on my finndings around the internet. It seems as if the cpu is integrated with the motherboard and cannot be changed. For my part, here personally know if the upgradinng of my cpu is a possibility? This is the first time to help here. soplease give me on reaply via this forum or to send me. [email protected]

Not a lot of good news for you. 1. the processor is soldered to the motherboard on the AMD HP2000z-300 series versions. Here's the best mother/CPU card, that you can install:

For use only with the computer models equipped with a 1.65 GHz AMD E450 processor (dual-core, 18 W) and a graphic subsystem with UMA video memory 657323-001

    2. it is not yet 2 ghz.

    Here is the Manual:

    Manual

See page 76 for a picture of the processor soldered on the AMD cards. HP offers the E450 card stock but it is $463.

    http://h20141.www2.HP.com/hpparts/Search_Results.aspx?mscssid=25A9A1ED163A47D0873EF8657361D899&SearchIn=PartNumber&SearchPN=657323-001

The laptop is not and will not be worth the update. Besides replacing the motherboard is no a walk in the Park.

Best advice: take the $463... add 200-$250 you can get for your laptop and buy something with an Intel i3 processor or better. Just be glad that you did not have the C50 AMD processor at 1 ghz. Your smartphone is likely with a more powerful processor. On most laptops, I am Advisor people upgrading to an SSD drive rather than an upgrade of the processor, but the AMD E-series models are the weaknesses of the HP range sister and the processor is a serious bottleneck. These laptops are made for Aunt Tillie publish on Facebook and not much more.
