Hello, I use a HP Compaq Presario CQ43. There with APU AMD E-450 with Radeon HD graphics card and 2.0 GB of RAM. My question is can I upgrade my processor and RAM 4 GB because I want to play games. If Ican please tell me how? Please help me.

    Your Service Manual:

    Manual

You already have the best processor that can fit on your motherboard which is an AMD version. Theoretically, you can go with a card mother Intel and processor, but that would cost a lot of money (more than a new laptop) and give only slightly better graphics. not yet for the games. To be explicit, the graphics 'card' are not a card, but a single chip directly soldered on the motherboard and cannot be removed, replaced, improved or anything of the sort.

The slightly good news is that you can install up to 8 GB of memory... is the DDR3-1333 SO-DIMM. That will boost the overall performance, but still not make a game by a long shot machine.

  • Upgrade the HDD and RAM

    Hello

I have a HP dv7-3085dx (product no: VM188UA #ABA) and I need to upgrade my hard drive to an SSD & increase my RAM. currenlty I have 500 GB hdd & 6144 MB ram DDR3.

    1. Please let me know if Serial ATA III SSD (Samsung - 840 EVO 250 GB Internal Serial ATA III Solid State Drive) is compatible with my motherboard. And is it possible to use this (primary) SSD as well as my old HDD (secondary).

    2. do I need to buy additional cables for this upgrade?

    3. What is the rate of transfer of my RAM? If I could buy a compatible RAM.

Your specific motherboard has the chipset Intel 5 series which is only capable of SATA-II. However, the Evo of 840 Samsung SATA-III will work fine and you will always see at an astonishing speed. You have chosen a good SSD (the same that I use, so I'm a little prejudiced).

With regard to memory, this is the crucial.com on your model page showing it will take up to 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) SO-DIMM DDR3-1333.

And Yes, you can use 2 hard drives in any dv7. It will take a second drive caddy and cable available here:

  • Satellite U300 - help hardware upgrade to SSD and RAM

    Hello world
I want to completely upgrade my toshiba satellite U300-140, mount VISTA and default the technical features, posted above.

I need your help to choose the best (and economic) device SSD and RAM slot. It is very important for me to know what is probably compatible with my device. Please, could you help me in your experience?

And... an SSD is worthy, at the speed of my laptop? I was thinking about kingston 120 Gb or 240 GB V300

    http://www.Toshiba.it/discontinued-p...Lite-U300-14O/

According to specification for laptop, you can be upgraded up to 4 GB RAM in order to use 2 x 2 GB of RAM. The compatible RAM modules have PA3513U-1M2G part number.

I think with SSD, you shouldn't have any problems. I updated my old P500 with 250 GB Samsung 840 SSD and it works perfectly.

  • Satellite A500 - upgrade the processor and RAM void my warranty?

I have a Toshiba Satellite A500, and I think to upgrade my processor CPU and RAM. If I open it invalidate or do I need a Toshiba authority to open it? Removes the card RAM will void the warranty?

All I need to know is that can I put RAM and CPU processor without voiding the warranty

    Hey,.

If you upgrade the CPU, you will cancel the warranty because this upgrade is not supported from Toshiba.
In addition, I put t understand why you buy a laptop, and then you think of some hardware upgrades. In your case, I'd rather bought a laptop with faster processor and more RAM.

Finally and above all a RAM upgrade is not a problem. So check your user manual how to do this.

  • Hardware upgrade? Maps and RAM

We bought a Dell AppAssure server about a year ago. Since then, we have upgraded our network of 10 GB base and are slowly migrating our servers through. 10 GB would be such a bonus from a backup perspective as it should (hopefully) reduce the backup window and restore times significantly.

We sent someone on the rescue of the Dell team to inquire about the upgrade of the server. We thought at the same time we would upgrade the RAM too much like the struggles of server if asked to run a virtual machine in virtual standby mode.

We said that the servers are fixed devices and cannot be upgraded. This seems a bit ridiculous. If Dell doesn't sell us what it needs to be updated, then surely we can order cards and memory, open the box and install ourselves?

We have just improved the memory in our DL4000 from 64 GB to 128 GB, I just asked the quote from our sales representative and they knew it was for DL4000, so I don't know why you would say something different.

The DL4000 series is just a renamed r.620, the underlying hardware is essentially the same.

Note aside, we had a problem with the upgrade of memory and ended up having to replace the motherboard, but it had nothing to do with the memory or the motherboard itself. The lifecycle controller had a small problem, upgrading memory treatment and the only way that Dell could resolve this was replacing the motherboard. Once the Executive Board has been replaced, the new memory has worked well.

  • Hard drive and RAM for Pavilion dv6 - 6123cl

Hello! I want to change my ram and my hard drive. The ram will be 8 GB and 2 TB drive, I wonder if I used the hard drive, if supported? and with regard to the ram, if I have to buy one that is compatible or anyone served me?

    Thank you! : smileywink:

    Here is the Manual:

    Repair manuals

You are located in the United States? If not, where? Country only just so we can connect you to a source for hard disk and memory.

Page 62 on the hard drive and 66 for the memory.

You must open the door to the memory and see if you have a 4 gig stick or a 2 x 2. If you have 1 x 4, you just need to get another to have 8. If you have 2 x 2, you need get 2 x 4.

You need DDR3-1333 mhz SO-DIMM memory and you need a 2.5 inch width 9.5 mm thick hard SATA. 2 TB disks are not really available on the market. 1 TB is about as big you'll find there.

Post back with your country of residence, and we can connect you to a good online store. If your hard disk does not well at the moment you use the HP Recovery Manager to burn DVDs to put the software on the new recovery disc.

  • Drive HARD and RAM upgrade on S2410-504

    Hello

1st visit to the forum, I hope you can help. I have a Satellite S2410-504, and the 20 GB HARD drive has stopped working completely. I thought that if I had to replace the drive, I might as well have a larger capacity drive. Are there specific readers to my computer, or I can just pop in any computer portable HARD drive 2.5 "?
In addition, I'm going to pop in some more RAM. I am currently only have 256 MB and was planning to add an another 256 MB. Still, whatever it is specific to my computer, or can I pop in any RAM?

Thank you for taking the time to look at my little problem.

    Kind regards.

    Steve

    Hello Steve

In my opinion in the case of HARD drive, it is important to choose the right HARD disk capacity. I found the info max capacity of the HARD disc on this unit is 40 GB (factory setting). I put t really know what is the maximum capacity, but I think that 40 GB will be sufficient. Am I wrong? ;)

With the RAM, you must be very careful. You must use compatible module because if you use wrong one, it can happen that the unit does not start. Because of this, it is recommended to use proven modules. Stefan has posted numbers on the right side of all compatible modules.
Just FYI: your device can handle with 1 GB RAM max.

    Good bye

  • P7 - 1010t cto Pavilion: upgrade of processor and RAM memory

I wonder if the upgrade to a faster processor and the RAM imcreassed will provide significant performance and practice

Yes, but you must consider a few things first.

RAM, if you currently have one slot of occupied RAM then add more RAM to fill all the slots does two things for you, it increase the bandwidth to access RAM and what is obvious, give you more memeory for your applications and reduce disk swapping.  Increase the bandwidth for RAM access ceratinly will provide a performance gain just by itself.

Upgrade the processor is debatable and depends largely on what you use your PC for.  If you simply run email and web browsing then probably an upgrade is useless, but if you run several CPU intensive tasks then a processor upgrade help. Processor intel celeron and pentium are core, i3 range are dual core and the i5 and i7 are four hearts.  Simply the best kernels if you run intensive taks and i5 and i7 processors support the turbo boost, which means carrots redundant can kick in to increase the speed of these processors according to demand.  Hyper-threading (with several processes running in parallel) is also supported by the i7 (maybe some processors i5 as well).

  • Office Pavilion 500-281: upgrade of processor and graphics HP Pavilion 500-281

I just bought this HP Pavilion 500-282 3/15/15.  I would like to upgrade from the intel hd graphics card 4400.  Also, I would say to install the I3 I5 4130.   How hard would that be? I upgrade the BIOS?  The power supply is 300 Watts.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

    [Personal information]

HERE IS THE SPEC PAGE for this unit.  It lists the processors i5 which will work with the motherboard, just scroll down.

The intel hd graphics card 4400 is part of the processor but will be promoted to the Intel HD Graphics 4600 (GT2) with any of the i5 processors listed.  If more than one upgrade is necessary, you should know that food can be a problem and the graphical upgrade with Intel onboard graphics is somewhat a problem, too.  Be very sure, through research, that works in the motherboard video card to the study. • Satellite L10-104 - the upgrade of CPU and RAM

    Hello

does anyone have a Toshiba Satellite L10-104 with more than 1 GB of RAM installed? I'm one of these laptops for upgrade and reinstall the operating system and other software. Toshiba says that it only supports 1 GB (2 x 512 MB) of RAM but Intel says techdocs this Notebpook (i855GM) chipset will support 2 GB RAM Max.

The other question is, is the CPUupgradeable? The laptop has more no guarantee and I am an experienced user and I see no problem to install a new processor in a laptop.

    Thank you

    StefanV3

    Hello

    > someone at - it a Toshiba Satellite L10-104 with more than 1 GB of ram installed? I had one of the theses Npotebooks for upgrade and reinstall the operating system and other software.
    > Toshiba said that it supports only 1 GB (2 x 512 MB) ram Intel techdocs said that this Notebpook (i855GM) chipset will support max 2 GB of ram.

According to the specifications of l 10:

    standard: 256 MB
    maximum extension: 1 024 MB
    technology: DDR RAM

So, I don't think that it can support up to 2 Gb

If your laptop has an Intel processor, there is no update of the BIOS. The update of the BIOS listed is only for laptops with AMD processors.
