Upgrade card wireless radio to include Bluetooth - DV6-3030tx

I bought the DV6 without checking it had Bluetooth - don't think you could buy a laptop without bluetooth these days!

I know that I can use a USB Bluetooth adapter and have one and it works but I'm not wanting to have something there still plugged. I had to die to USB ports in the past just repeated blows, they invariably get over time.

I want to upgrade the module wireless to a version that includes Bluetooth, but have had no luck with either call HP or emailed to them.  Maybe I'm not talking to the right number or received the right email but the people of HP at the other end just don't work on what I'm after. We did finally get given a number in Melbourne for a HP service number, but I got a lady who just took the calls that took my number and said: I would like to be rung back by a technician. Didn't happen.

Anyone, 1. find out who to contact at HP and 2. What is the code/part number I need?

Let me know if you need any additional information from me.

Thanks in advance,

Rob

Unlike laptops, HP does not publish information about wireless in desktop cards, otherwise their existence. The manual indicates that the wireless card is a x 1 pci-e expansion card. In laptops, the BIOS block cards wireless non-approved to allow the system to boot. I don't think it's true in desktop computers.

Existing card is a dual-band 2.4 ghz or 5 ghz and must perform well but Ralink cards tend to have problems and that is an understatement. You might want to try upgrading the driver, and you can check the antennas to see if they are connected to the right.

I don't think that any card WiFi dual band (5 GHz) will work. The best option for you is Intel 1030. It's the same chip as the 1000 but combo with bluetooth. Reference number: 631956-001. This part number is indicated in the manual as Intel 6230.

Something to do with the switching circuit. The laptop will not 'see' the map! He says that everything is loaded and working properly.

    Hello

Satellite A210 doesn t support draft N WLAN cards. For speed N project the mobile needs of 3 antennas it must have 3 antenna cables. Your laptop has 2 antenna only cables if this doesn t N support project.

You have the 17 inch model and for the 15-inch model AMD HP actually an AC card. This one:

2x2HMC AC + BT4 Broadcom BCM 4352 WLAN 802.11 for HP Pavilion 15 AMD computer models available for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 724935-005

It is an equivalent spare card sold on amazon.com:

The card would work for you, but I have to warn you that the installation is no easy thing. It requires extensive disassembly and will jeopardize the warranty. You should not try to install an Intel card as they are called does not play nice with AMD computers. The Broadcom will be your best bet.

  • wireless radio turns off every 2 minutes

I have a Thinkpad Z60t, running on Windows XP.

I have the wireless switch physical on the side panel on the position we (that is to the right).

At the beginning, I can't connect to any wireless network without problem. However, after about 2 minutes of not actively using the internet, the green 'radio Wireless' on the front panel turns off and I lose my internet connection. Then I do "Fn + F5" (or ThinkVantage button-> manage my connections-> Radios in Wireless Power on / off) to activate on (and get the light to go back to being green). Then I have to reconnect to the wireless network.

I think that this is a common problem. I tried several suggestions that I found on other forums, including ThinkVantage button-> manage my connections-> select location-> Open Access Connections profiles-> Configure-> location of switch-> UNSELECT "enable automatic location change". Actually, this method seems to work for a few hours, but then stopped.

I am sure that my wireless network is stable - my roommate's laptop does not lose the signal every 2 minutes as I do. I think my laptop wireless radio turns off automatically after 2 minutes of no use, and this feature should be turned off somehow.

Help, please. I'm frustrated to have to reconnect manually every 2 minutes.

Open Control Panel, go to the system, the property of equipment/system, then go to Device Manager.

Under the ownership of the wireless card (right click on the wireless card and property select), there are settings for the roaming of aggressiveness, energy saving and power output.

  • Printer HP Photosmart C390a - wireless radio does not

I need help with my HP C390a Photosmart Premium all-in-one printer. Suddenly, the other day he lost, it's a wireless connectivity and I have tried everything I can think of to get it to work - printing and Scan doctor, uninstall the printer and reinsert (2 or 3 times), re-starting the PC, the modem-router and the printer etc several times and nothing works. The printer will print when connected by USB but I have run the wireless network Test and it shows that the "Wireless is WE ', but the ' Wireless works is to FAIL. This explains why I can't get the Wireless Setup Wizard to work. She is saying that he is now "looking for wireless routers", but just keeps looking forever until I have cancel it. Also the small wireless icon which was on the home screen of the printer in the top middle (next to the bluetooth icon) has disappeared. Although mysteriously, small blue wireless light on the far right of the keyboard printer stays on. In any case, I really like this printer but I need a wireless, wired not only, so I would appreciate any help I could get with this problem.

Oh, I forgot to tell you, I also can I made things worse by selecting two default settings of the printer (when nothing else worked), they were: 'Restore the default network settings' and under Tools "restore default settings".

  • The tab broadband is weak and his option is missing in the wireless radio software

    Hi all

I just bought this model Lenovo ThinkPad X201T 2985-DLG tablet before yesterday. Since then, I try to use my card SIM G3. Tab broadband is weak in the dial-up connections, and I noticed that his option is missing in the wireless radio software.

I contacted the support (the Saudi side of IBM) SBM team and they gave me with a link to a very long list of drivers the most that are for other versions of the OS. I noticed that most of the suggested drivers were already made and the Thinkpad is up-to-date including the bios.

to confuse more, I do not have my SIM card so far. I'm in the fight to get the bandwidth (WWAN) living.

Any suggestions or solutions will be highly appreciated.

  • HP c309a wireless radio does not, help

THX in advance for the help. I'm trying to set up printing from my IPad on my hp c309a printer wireless. Can't get it to connect. Just ran diagnosis on the printer wireless. Says ' wireless radio does not. Any help?  THX

The Radio not work wireless message usually indicates a problem with the card wireless in the printer. I'll try to do a hard reset of the printer. A hard reset will attempt to restore the printer to a good working condition and no settings are lost with a hard reset.   If the reset does not work then you can contact support at 800-474-6836.  The link below provides warranty options.

    Out-of-warranty options.

Contact Hp outside the United States.

    1. when the printer is turned on power, unplug the power cord at the back of the printer.
    2. unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
3 reconnect the power cord to the product and the wall outlet and then press the power button.

Let me know how it goes.

  • Wireless radio failed. Where to get repair?

    All-in-one C309a, CC335A

Bought in November 2010, 1843 printed pages.

Wireless test report says "the wireless radio does not work.  Contact HP support. »

So where can I get this repaired and how much will it cost?  After two hours on the Web, I came on this vacuum.  HP Partner Locator on the Web shows no repair facilities within 3000 miles, even though I live in St. Louis.

HP has kindly offered to replace the printer for me, even if it's 4 months after the warranty period.  They offered me another model, but I chose one handed to nine, as the next model does not have the CD tray.  The framework is quite difficult to get.

Here is the procedure.  First report of test of the wireless network.  Also print a status report.  You will need later, and there are chances that you might run out of ink while you run a test of HP.

Pull the plug while the printer is on and plug end about 30-40 seconds.  This will reset the printer.  If this does not work, HP will you reset the printer setup and reset as a new printer.  You can't do it yourself, as it uses a lot of ink, and HP will probably ask you to do it again.  Be nice, but be prepared to spend hours on the phone with them.

The other choice is to get an adapter wireless ethernet, sometimes referred to as a wireless hub (or a wireless Repeater).  It is a wireless receiver with one or more ethernet out ports.  You're on your own, but it should work for about $25 - $ 60.  I found the part HP (#1150-7931) for $80, but I'm thinking that it might fail once again, while the wireless card can be replaced separately, and it would be usable for other equipment.

  • "Wireless radio does not work" when the Diagnostic tool is run

Recently, I unplugged my C309a HP Photosmart Premium and he moved to a new Tablet next to my main computer.  Wireless network card works perfectly before the move, and now it does not detect networks to connect to.  I have run the wireless network test report and it says "Wireless Radio does not work.  Contact HP support. "I can do here to help solve this problem, or I have to pay for repairs somewhere?  I want to believe that this HP product can support more than a simple passage of one shelf to another...

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    * Note * I know my network works correctly (because I'm connected to it now...).  My computer detects my network as well as several others in the neighborhood.

Is the printer still under warranty?  If yes you can not he repaired, but it can cost almost what a new printer costs.  Here is how to contact HP.

Your printer must be able to work with USB and it should also be able to be connected to your router with an Ethernet cable.
