I've upgraded Windows XP to Windows 7 and now when I try to run updates of windows I get this error 80072efd
When and how you 'upgrade' to Win7?
How long the Windows XP computer was connected to the internet before you "upgraded" in Win7?

I recently installed an OEM Win XP Home edition. After the upgrade to service pack 3, it comes up with an error code 0 x 80040509 "the license key is not valid on this media, please reinstall windows. After researching the issue, I back return to the last restore point, and then I ran the MS tool true diagnosis validated ok. It shows the type of product as 'Volume 1' ID, and I have read that I need to update the product key to a version before updating to service pack 3. Before I continue, I would like to verify that this is the correct process to take. I have included information on the diagnostic below. Help, please.
