Hi, Giuseppe.

Below are the specifications of your laptop.

Specifications

As you will see, the maximum memory for your laptop is 4 GB.  With this limit, you will get no real benefit to a 64-bit operating system.

I hope this helps.

Best wishes

    Hello, I need some advice on upgrading my laptop. I have a G62 a80SV. I have 2 GB of RAM and I want to add another. What should I look for so it pairs with the one I have? I also want to put an SSD. What is spesifically should I pay attention to so it will be good in my laptop?

    It's the memory you need:

    The extent of the DSS, any large 2.5-inch SATA SSD 9.5 or 7 mm thick will work. I went to the Samsung Evo 840:

  • Looking to upgrade my laptop HP G62

    As the title says, I'm looking to upgrade my laptop for games. And it looks like I'm going to need a new video card and CPU.

    I visited Can You Run It? (http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/) and suggested at least for the: processor Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8 GHz / AMD Athlon 64 X 2 4400 + 2.3 GHz.

    And at least for the video card: 256 MB / Shader 3.0, NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT or ATI Radeon HD 3000 +.

    He said that my laptop model is HP G62 + -250 (hopefully this means something to someone...  :-/)

    Edit: Its a Windows 7 Home Prem OA.

    I wonder what is the highest, I go for a CPU and video card, but try to keep my wallet happy?

    Help a girl out?

    This project any attempt is DOA. There is no possible upgrade for the video card. It's a chip that is soldered to the motherboard.

    For a game that need a GeForce 8800 you will search long and hard and spend a lot of money on a laptop computer that he would go. You can upgrade the processor, but it is expensive and difficult and won't improve game by a significant amount. My best advice is to build a desktop computer that meets the specifications for the game.

    Hello:

    The number of product that you posted indicates that you have this model...

    HP G62t-250 CTO Notebook PC.

    If your model has an Intel processor, then you are on the right page.

    The update of the BIOS is for models of the Intel only.

  • Someone knows how to upgrade to Windows 7 64 bit to dm3?

    Hi all

    Recently, I bought my computer laptop pavilion dm3-1028tx (sp9300, 4 GB ddr3). Unfortunely only it comes with oem windows 7 Home premium 32-bit instead of windows 7 64-bit.

    Due to the characteristic of 32 bits, its only 3 GB of ram could be used.

    IM plan to upgrade my windows 7 Home premium 32-bit to 64-bit windows 7 home premiun.

    I tried to contact microsoft in my country, they said I should ask to HP, if I could spend my windows because its OEM.

    Someone knows how to upgrade my windows 7 32 bit to windows 7 64 bit without having to buy a new one? Please help me I do not know.

    Thanks a lot guys

    Unfortunately, you will need to buy the 64-bit version, unless you can get HP to you give 64-bit free citing inability to use all of the memory as a customer support/advocacy.   But you should check on HP website to see if your model was first 64-bit drivers.

    He will have to do a new installation as well.  And if HP is not actively support 64-bit for your model, you will lose the HP software (most consider bloatware anyway).  You will also lose built in recovery option.  So, at least, make sure you create your restore disks.

    You may be able to wash to recover the partition, but I don't know how you would be able to use it without recovery software that HP has loaded.

  • I need to upgrade my laptop G56

    I need help with this cpu and ram would be the best to upgrade my laptop.

    Now we are getting somewhere!  Here are your specs:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02530928

    You have 3 GB of RAM and a Celeron 900 CPU. It isn't surprising that you want to upgrade. Here are the processors, you can use:

    Intel Mobile Celeron 925 processor (2.3 GHz, 1 MB cache L3, 800 MHz) 636636-001
    Intel Celeron 900 processor (2.2 GHz) 534419-001
    Processor Intel Pentium T4500 (2.3 GHz) 591880-001
    Processor Intel Celeron T3500 (2.1 GHz) 625830-001

    While all these are 64-bit processors (allow 4 GB of RAM and more if you have 64-bit Windows), Celeron 900 is a single core and is not very capable. The T4500 is your best bet, and it is at least a dual core, but there isn't any great processor either.

    Your laptop was made to be done cheap and has a motherboard with the GL40 chipset, and will only work the lower end of the processors, not a Core 2 Duo. Memory max is in fact 8 GB, but it uses the DDR2-800 SO-DIMM and 8 gigabytes of which will cost nearly the value for a new laptop low-end. It is very rare and expensive. Go to simple modules to 4 GB for $110-120 and you would have 2. Even a single module 2 gig you need to go up to 4 gigs, would cost you $45 or more.

    You have Intel 4500 video which is about as lame as it gets, and there is no way to level it. Sorry, but you will simply never to make this notebook a gamer.

    Many modern games requires power GPU, CPU and RAM. You cannot pass GPU (graphics card) on your machine, so the best option: buy a gaming machine.

  • I need to run the accounting program MYOB 9 on my new laptop HP 64 bit with Vista Home OS.

    I need to run the accounting program MYOB 9 on my new laptop HP 64 bit with Vista Home OS.  Is there a download that allows me to run from MYOB and emulate windows XP?

    You must upgrade to Windows 7 Professional to run Windows XP Mode

    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/Virtual-PC/default.aspx

    You can try to see if it will run in Vista compatibility mode:

  • I am unable to get the computer manufacturer to send the disc to reinstall Vista. I tried to do this task almost 3 weeks. I need to reinstall Vista so that I can upgrade to Windows 7 64 bit. Please help me. I have the product code.

    I mistakenly installed the 32-bit version of Windows 7, and I try to install the 64-bit version.  Info on other forums says there is no way to do it without a disk... I do not have with the computer.

    To go from 32 bit to 64 bit, you have to do with a FULL 64-bit version, by performing a clean install. so I don't see what the problem on Vista reinstall is.

    Unless you have Vista 64 bit, it will not help you upgrade to Windows 7 64 bit.

    How to get Vista recovery Media and/or to use the Vista recovery Partition on your computer.

    There is no Vista free download legal available.

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Ask them if you can also make recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

    They will tell you how to do this.

    Every computer manufacturer has their way of doing recovery disk/s.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
    A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
    The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.
    There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
    If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
  • How to upgrade to Windows 7 64 bit
    Windows 7 Professional 32 bit DVD I bought at a retail store. But now I want to upgrade to Windows 7 64 bit. Can someone tell me what what should I do? I know I have a new installation of my formatting system drive. But my question is should I buy again Windows 7 64 bit DVD separately or download Windows 7 64 bit online and can use 32-bit series that I have to activate?
    You can use the same product key that allows you to enable the 32-bit version.
    You will need to do a clean install, there is no place on the way to upgrade Windows 7 32 bit to 64 bit.
    Using the disk of 64-bit Windows 7, install Windows 7 Windows Easy Transfer Utility from the DVD (to find it, simply navigate to x:\support\migwiz, "x:" is the name of your hard drive. (In this case, you will see a collection of files, the important"that you must search for and double-click is 'migsetup'.) run it and create a DAMP (Windows Easy Transfer file), if you have an external hard drive, you can access it later when you perform a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit disk so you can stored there.
    Once you have done this, just do a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit disc. In Windows 7 64 bit disk, start Windows Easy Transfer, follow the wizard screen, tap on which is stored the WET file (external hard drive) and it will restore your personal files and settings. Reinstall the applications needed.
    http://www.notebooks.com/2009/10/07/using-Windows-easy-transfer-in-Windows-7/
    Boot from the DVD 64 bit Windows 7
    Click Install now
    Accept the license agreement
    When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)
    Select the disk partition where you want to install Windows 7 click Next.
    You will receive the following warning:
    The partition you have selected may contain files from a previous Installation of Windows. If so, these files and folders will be moved to a folder named Windows.old. You will be able to access the information in Windows.old, but you will be able to use your previous version of Windows.
    (At all costs, do NOT click on anything in Format, deletion or Partition name.) So even do a custom installation, your personal files are still kept. Click OK
    The installation program will now begin installation. During installation, your computer will be restarted several times.
    Once the installation is complete, you can complete the Out of Box experience as the choice of your laptop, create a username, password, your time zone. You can then proceed to download the latest updates for Windows and reinstall your applications and drivers.
    You can then retrieve your personal files from the Windows.old folder and reinstall all of your applications and drivers.
    It will be possible to downgrade to Windows 7 32 Bit or to install with this updated DVD?
    Or will I have to get back to Vista 32 Bit and upgrade to Win 7 32 bit?
    Thanks for the tips
    Hello
    To be honest I n don't know what you mean exactly.
    You can only change Vista 32 bit to Windows 7 32 bit. An upgrade from 32 bit to 64 bit OS is not possible! Therefore, you must make a clean and new installation.
    If you want to go back to Vista, you must use the Toshiba Recovery disk or disk Microsoft Vista.
  • I am considering upgrading my laptop for Windows 8. What can I expect if I do this?
    You may want to consider upgrading your laptop for Windows 8, but don't know what to expect or if it is compatible or not.
    Hello:
    You need this graphics driver...
    https://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx? DwnldID = 23889
    Download, unzip and run the exe to install.
    If you need to reinstall W7 in the future, you can use the W7 x 64 drivers and software (except the BIOS and firmware files) 250 G2 on your HP laptop computer (64-bit files have the 32 bit also driver files).
    The only you need from outside of this model are the audio and graphics drivers.
