  This code snippet is just defining some constants that get used later, whether it's a macro (#define) or within an enum. It allows you to easily change the value (of, say, PORTABLE_MAX) in one place, rather that at each place, it is used. It is always advisable to define some constants naked symbolism rather than as numbers. Assuming that the name of the symbol is right, that this help really make the code more readable.

  Typedef struct defines a structure that can be recorded and transmitted between the functions.

  It's pretty basic C, not even using all the C++ features. Search on Google for '#define c' or 'c enum' or anything that will lead you to the tutorials explain these things in (probably too much) in detail.

• Plugins does not work in After Effects CC15.3

  Everything worked perfectly yesterday. A project of client using some of my favorite plugins like Trapcode Form and particular.

  After update today, would continue my project where I left.

  However, the majority of my plugins disappeared, leaving me unable to progress, short on time.

  I had to completely start over, with a new idea and the standard after effects plugins.

  I tried to reinstall them, but they may not appear.

  Did anyone facing this problem too?

  Like HippieBoy, but on Windows 10, I tried to copy the plugins trapcode manually from the

  "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe after effects CC 2015\Support Files\Plug-ins\Trapcode.

  "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe after effects CC 2015.3\Support Files\Plug-ins\Trapcode."

  and my trapcode plugins where backward. The amazing thing is that I have installed the Plugin Trapcode after having updated to 2015.3 CC. The reason was probably that the Trapcode plugins trial version installed to AE CC 2015 and that the folder was still here the licensed version of Trapcode installed in the old folder.

  I essentially built a project in After Effects CS4, but unfortunately, my computer is quite poor and crashes during rendering. So I was wondering if there is a way for me to all of the transfer project to another computer with After Effects, in order to make and edit it more it instead. Thank you.

  Collect files command to gather all the images in a single folder, copy the folder to an external drive and move it to the new computer. You must also do ot sure that fonts and the codecs used are installed on the new computer.

• After Effects will not be rendered full resolution - possible RAM problem?

  Not sure if this has ever imagined before - I can't return after that effects and RAM preview the half res. When I try and RAM the comp preview just goes black and when I send it to render I get the following message:

  After effects WARNING: connected to a single error - 'error made while writing to the file. An output module is not. The file is maybe damaged or corrupted(-1610153464).

  I am able to correct half res preview RAM and can thus make half res. I tried with several images simultaneously rendering on and outside, empty the disk cache and turn off all RAM hogging the effects.

  An obvious cause, I've identified is that I recently upgraded and replaced the RAM on my computer, however, after effects has been the only software made. Cinema 4 d makes no problem and I had no other problems with the general operation of my machine.

  Were already there before instances of After Effects doesn't work only with certain types of RAM?

  Just another check through everything and it seems that I was not quite be enough depth. Thought I had checked through each effect, each turn off systematically, but I must have missed one. Seems that although frischluft DOF is to blame - he was using with my 3D rendering and passes as soon as I turn off the layer AE renders perfectly. Duh! Think I must have been concerned with the RAM I had just installed and lack of the most obvious causes making.

  Quite relieved that I can make out AE now well that's a bit of a pain I can't use DOF frischluft. For this purpose known to cause problems in the past? I've used in some companies different and never had any problems with it so far. Maybe I need to upgrade to the latest version?

  You will need the full version of C4d to have access to the tools of rigging. C4D Lite that comes with AE is very limited in it's tools of modeling and animation...

  In after effects CC, the color and the wheel Edge is missing in the Keylight.  The labels are there but no visual color wheel, isn't there a switch I need to turn on?

  I was just looking for opinions on what everyone thought about the difference between staining using After Effects plugins instead of using Color Finesse.

  I'm biased as to what should be your choice, but an important thing to keep in mind is the basic difference between a dedicated as Apple Color application of color correction and color correction plug-ins like Color Finesse/Magic Bullet in the workflow.

  Color is designed to work similarly to a traditional band-to-band color correction workflow. In other words, complete you your package, block all along, then go to the color correction. Make additional editing after the color correction is difficult. The advantage is that you get to work in an environment dedicated to the color correction, and the corrector 'knows' about the whole project, facilitating global operations. But the integration between editing app (FCP) and the color Checker (Color) is limited.

  With a plug-in, you have you color correction in your editor/motion graphics app so that revisions are easy to make, without the need of what either lock or flatten change them or effects. Integration between the app (AE/Agency) and the plug-in may be extremely tight. The downside is that the plug-in is applied to individual clips/layers so that the plug-in only 'knows' about this element further complicates global operations.

  We try to split the difference with Color Finesse, giving you an environment dedicated to the color correction, as well as a plug-in. Of course, we also offer our standalone version for Mac users.

  Neither approach is necessarily "better" than the other, they are just different. It depends largely on your own workflow preferences.

  Photoshop 2015.5 CC is a major version update it will install completely separate from the current version of Photoshop CC (version 2015.1.2) and have a separate plug-ins folder.

  Then, you must reinstall all of your Plugins, check the Web site or updates to plugins manufacturer and install your plugins.

  and a year ago, we bought 4 licenses for Boris Continuum Complete 7 AE plugins

  In the HP Z800 computers 2, we have a problem with the plugins 3D BCC7 BORIS Boris objects. The other Boris Continuum Complete 7 AE plugins work correctly.

  Other computers 2 HP Z400 all plugins go OK including BCC7 BORIS Boris objects

  Each computer has Windows 7 and NVIDIA graphics Quadro 5000

  When I record in Cineware 4 d and go in After Effects, I see this error or similar error all the time:

• My computer crashes whenever I open After Effects

  Whenever I have try and run After Effects, I get a blue screen saying 'KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE' and my computer restarts. It started when I downloaded a template for a project. I tried to open it in After Effects and the blue screen appeared. I never download anything so I thought great, the only time wherever I have buy a model that he has a virus. But I scanned with Symantec and he said nothing about any possible virus... I used just After Effects a minute before I opened the project so I highly doubt that it is a matter of update. I'm currently scanning my computer viruses, but I don't know that I feel as if it was something else. Should I try to reinstall After Effects? If I do this, it will delete the files in my project? I have a lot of things I want to keep because I'm working on something big now and it's all in a single file. I'm under that the latest version of AE passing just installed last week. Works fine on my computer Windows 8.1. All drivers up to date. I'd appreciate any help, because I have to finish my video soon...

  It turns out that it was a problem with my graphics card. The most recent update of NIVIDIA GTX 870 M at the time caused the crash to happen, so I started my last update and it worked fine. The most recent update graphics card, as of today no longer causes the crash to occur, then all is well. Thanks for the help though!
