Upgrade of RAM for Satellite Pro L300-1cz

Hello!

I want to upgrade the RAM on a L300-1cz. What I have to buy Toshiba memory or can I use [Kingston Value RAM KVR800D2S5 / 2G | http://www.valueram.com/datasheets/KVR800D2S5_2G.pdf] (standard 256 M X 64 Non - ECC 800 MHz 200 - pin SODIMM Unbuffered (SDRAM DDR2, 1.8V, CL5))

Best regards...

Hello

I think you can use the modules of memory from different manufacturers.
But you must choose the right with straight plug modules;

As far as I know the RAM module should support this specification:
* 800 MHz (PC2-6400) 200 - PIN SODIMM DDR2 *.

Welcome them

    Hello

I own a laptop Satellite Pro 3410, it has pentium celeron 600, 64 MB of ram and 13 '' dstn display. I want to upgrade my ram, somewhere, I read that it can be improved with 256 MB, so that there then 320Mo. My question is now, what I have to use 2 pieces of 128 MB of ram or can I use 1 piece of 256 MB of ram. The point is a friend gave me a 256MB ram for PC laptop (pc-100) toshiba, I put it and it seems to work (win2k showed me the 320Mo compleet), but can it be problems, using this a big RAM?

    I hope you can help

    Katja

    Hello

I think you mean a Satellite Pro 4310?

Normally it only uses the modules of memory up to 128 MB. But if your laptop is running with this 256 MB module, there should be no problem.

  • Upgrade of RAM for Satellite Pro S300-11

    Hello
I have this netbook for two years now and I need to add more memory RAM, it has 2 GB and is capable of having up to 8 GB.
I went to two local stores to buy a memory stick, but they are not able to find my netbook to their suppliers, so that they have no idea what memory modules could go well with my pc. I know that the installed RAM module is a DDR2 at 800 MHz. So, any module of ram with these specifications should work correctly?
Another question is if my computer is able to read up to 8 GB or I have to upgrade the BIOS (I have not updated, so I have one pre-installed).
Thanks for your reply and sorry for my English!
    See you soon!

    Hi manelfera,

The laptop has Intel GM45 chipset and the chipset supports up to 8 GB of memory. This means that you can install 4 GB module in both memory slots. As you already wrote DDR2 800 MHz is the correct specification.

Theoretically, each module with this specification will work, but I recommend the purchase of high quality of Kingston for example modules. I have good experiences with this brand :)

Updating the BIOS is not necessary for the upgrade of RAM so you can keep the current version.

  • Upgrade of RAM for Satellite Pro U200

I just bought a U200 Pro of the Satellite with 512 MB ram and I want to improve, but I don't know what type of ram to the order.
Will be of this form: Kingston 1 GB 533 MHz (4200) DDR2 SODIMM, 200 pins, CL4?

    Hello

Just FYI: this device can handle with max 2 GB of RAM and the compatible and tested modules memory vivid are DDR2-533 512 MB (PA3412U - 2 M 51) and DDR2-533 1 GB (PA3411U-2M1G).

If your device has 512 MB of RAM, I recommend you to put another 1 GB of RAM and I think that the device will work like crazy. ;)

You first remove the thin cover above the F1 - F12 buttons.
The two screws are hidden beneath this thin plastic cover!

But why don't you check the user manual * Chapter 8 memory

There should be a detailed how instruction update the modules of memory.

If you don t have user manual, then you could download it from the homepage of European support from Toshiba!

  • Need driver SATA XP for Satellite Pro L300

    Hello

    I have a Satellite Pro L300 Vista.
If I have problems of major incompatibility with Vista I can swap the readers so I want to set up a second hard drive running on XP Pro.

When I try to set up the XP he sees not the SATA hard drive. I know that it's because XP does not contain the SATA drivers. Couple of questions

    (1) I saw a comment that recommendsto change the BIOS for SATA setting to "Compatibility" and this should work. I tried this but did not find it worked - everyone find it works?

    (2) where can I find the XP SATA driver? I crossed the XP drivers for Satellite Pro L300 Toshiba's web site, but could not see any SATA driver.

    Thank you

    Hello

    As to the question;

    (1) some notebook models containing this function in the BIOS and some don t BIOS that SATA option. If the BIOS has this option, you should be able to put AHCI Compatible mode. Then a SATA driver won't be necessary but also your SATA function would be disabled and HARD drive might work more slowly. So I recommend to set to AHCI, and then reinstall the SATA driver.

    (2) the SATA driver is part of the Intel Matrix Storage Manger. You can include the SATA drivers using nLite software. The necessary files of the SATA driver can be downloaded from Intel here page:
    [32-bit (201ko) floppy Configuration utility 8.6.0.1007 | http://downloadcenter.intel.com/download.aspx?url=/17061/eng/f6flpy3286.zip&DwnldId=17061&ProductID=2101&lang=e ng]

  • Upgrade CPU of my Satellite Pro L300-152

    Toshiba Satellite Pro L300-152
    Model no. PSLB1E-01R015EN
    Celeron 560 2.13 GHz

Can someone tell me what CPU I can pass safely, I use it in a cool environment and care about a few 100 mhz more of her.

    Thank you for your support

Before you start to discuss CPU upgrade, check it please this Toshiba document - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB9401AX0001R01.htm

My personal opinion is that upgrading the CPU won't help much and you will not realize a difference in performance for laptop. In my opinion need more RAM or SSD better and faster. This better and better performance some CPU with 100 mhz dating more than one.

  • Need driver for Satellite Pro L300

    Hi guys

I just formatted my cousin's pc and I put vista ultimate - 86 BIT and I can t find driver for it :(

It is the Toshiba Satellite Pro L300 so please help me because I tried so hard and couldn't find a driver.
And if there is really no driver I'm asking of you I cry me a driver please!
do you know how I've worked to download it and now there is no drivers?

In my view, that no company does have drivers but why? Is too recent or something?

    Hope you help me

    Hello!

What you mean with 86 BIT? There are only two available versions: 32-bit and 64-bit.

And have you searched the Web from Toshiba site? You can find all the drivers:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download drivers

There is no 64-bit drivers for 64 bit and Satellite Pro L300 and I think that nobody will do a driver for you. This forum from a user to s.
You can search on external Web sites for drivers 64-bit like Intel, Realtek, etc.

  • Driver XP SATA for Satellite Pro L300 PSLB9E

Hi all I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro L300 PSLB9E and I am trying to downgrade from Vista to XP. I have the sata AHCI controller mode, I looked for this drivers on the toshiba site and the site of intel, but none of these work when installing xp and pressing f6 when you use a usb floppy drive. Any ideas?

    Hello

If you have set the compatible SATA mode in the BIOS, then you n t need to install all the drivers SATA!
Compatibility mode allows you to run the HARD drive without SATA drivers.

But if you want to use the HDD in SATA mode, then you will set back to AHCI.
In this case the SATA drivers must be installed in order to use the HDD in SATA mode.

The laptop seems to be equipped with the AMD CPU and so you need a SATA chipset AMD driver. That are in the package of graphics (record SBDrv/SATA") driver

  • SATA for Satellite Pro L300 PSLB9E

    Hello

After reading almost all threads talking about it, I know that I need a driver for my chipset, but Satellite PRO L300 PSLB9E what controller use exactly?
How can I see what it or could someone tell me?

For example, I have this list.
Which one should I install? Where can I find it?

Lot of thanks and sorry for the mistakes, I am not very strong in English

You need to install the SATA drivers before you install Windows. If you have two options:

1 copy the drivers on a floppy disk. After that, you start from the Windows CD and press F6 to load drivers.

2 do. you a new installation with nLite disc. Search forum, there is a lot of discussion on this topic.

If you have problems to do this, ask here in the forum. ;)
