  I understand you have questions to update your VoiceTab to Lollipop 5.0 7 slate.

  At this time, HP has no intention to upgrade the slate 7 voice tab to lollipop. Your product comes with Jelly Bean, and the latest Android OS available for your product's Kit Kat we are sorry for any inconvenience.

  Please note that HP may continue to issue software updates for your existing operating system. These software updates appear automatically when you connect to the internet. You can also get updates by going to your settings on the device below.

  How to check the updates of the system:

  You must be connected to the Internet to check for updates. Use the following steps to check updates on your Tablet System.

  1. on the home screen, tap the apps for everything, and then tap the settings icon.

  2. in the section on tablet PC touch system.

• HP Pro slate 8: HP Pro slate 8 (K7X61AA) - OTA upgrade has failed and not able to apply the HP upgrade.zip

  Last week, I received the tablet. Since then, the OTA update failed 3 times. So I searched around the Web and found a page which State to load the update.zip to SD card and install on recovery Menu:

  But it does not work also. After the system says 'check' package it briefly shows the Android Robot for less then half a second that an i will be back to the Recovery menu.

  Solved by myself.

  The upgrade from SD card did not work, because the tablet had a problem with my SD 32 GB Class10 card. I used an 8 GB Class 4 and it worked fine.

  What model slate 7 VoiceTab you ask?  The firmware is very specific to the region...

  Have you tried updates via the Tablet?  Settings / about Tablet/system updates.  HP seems to have recently released an update that solves the problems with the software causing reboots (like Skype) CAT.

• HP TABLETS 7 6102 RA SLATE: ERROR UPGRADATION OF KITKAT JELLYBEAN

  Last day I had and pop up on my HP Slate 7 voice tab upgrade jellybean to kitakat. When I pressed the upgrade, after treatment, he went to error mode. I took an online help and I downloaded the UPDATE. ZIP for ra tablet hp slate 6102 7 in the INDIAN region.

  Today, I went to a store and use than the software to update my Tablet using the map D S.

  It is same as it happened.

  I have upgraded to windows 10 on my tab 7. My battery time is the same, but my 7 slate is stupid on windows 10. It's always a computer on batteries that use a lot of power.  I use it as a convenience to move because I am working on it, but anchor it at any time. • HP Slate 7 restarts when you try to videoconferencing

  I use HP Slate 7 voice tab (snow white, 16 GB, Wi - Fi, 3 G).

  After the upgrade to Android KitKat, I have problems to videocalling. Whenever I type to videocall Hangouts or Skype button, Tablet just restarts. I also tried 'Hangouts Dialer"app, but once again, with this app too, the Tablet just restarted itself after I tried to call someone. I tried to uninstall the updates app Hangouts and cleared the cache, but even with the factory version with retroactive effect of app, the Tablet Hangouts reboots if I try to videocall someone. I also did a Factory Reset, but the problem is still there even after the factory reset. After the reset, I have updated the Hangouts and Skype apps in their current versions, but the same problem occurs.

  I noticed other people having similar problems in this forum: here. I've not used of videocalling before moving to KitKat, so I can't say that it worked fine before. I did all the steps who advised in the linked discussion, but none helped me not yet.

  Please help me because videocalling is one of the basic features that must have a tablet. Thank you.

  None of the solutions actually solved my problem. I had a "essential system update for Google Android" volume about 17.8 MB on March 30, 2015. I installed this update today and all my videocalling problems have been resolved as if by magic! Places of encounter, Skype, works like a charm. I feel so relieved!

• HP Slate 21 with 4.4.2 sounds bad

  Today, I'm updating my HP Slate KitKat 21 to 4.4.2. Everything seems to be correct audio exception: when I connect to my phones or the amplifier's audio jack, the sound is poor and no bass. Very bad sound. I tried tunning DTS without success.

  What should I do? 21 slate is my home entertaintment system!

  Is there a way to back to me previous version of Android? I have reset by default but 4.4.2 is still installed.

  I did a little research today and I think that what is happening is that for users upgrade the Jelly Bean image directly to the new 17r20.1 - 011-11-WW the issue does not appear now that we have applied the fix.  But for those who went to the previous kitkat image everything first, and then to 17r20.1 - 011-11-WW, the fix for update of configuration for the DTS driver is proceed with installation, but for some reason any is not used by Android.

  So, if you continue to have the audio problem after obtaining of new generation, please perform a reset of the system (settings-> backup) and reset-> reset of data and this should solve your problem.  Please note that you must have before the last image (17r20.1 - 011-11-WW) to reset.

  HP plans to upgrade the 10 slate for Kit Kat. The timing of the upgrade is not currently available.
  
  When you upgrade your HP Tablet, you get an operating system that has been adapted to the and tested for specific tablet.
  
  As long as you have registered your device with Google, the new OS will come by automatically when you connect to the Internet. You can also get updates by accessing your settings on your device.
