Upgrade of the revision/overhaul of the Pavilion a6234x game?

I was wondering if it'll be sure to upgrade the HP Pavilion a6234x for games modern (my friend will help, because I'm no expert on how to take apart and putting it back together). Cause the 6234 is not that big of a tower case, and it looks a bit cramped inside with wires and cables criscrossing the PCI ports and everything. This is an older model of 2007 and looks like this:

http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01035705

With a 2.2 Ghz Intel Dual Core E4500, Intel 945 Express integrated graphics, 3 GB of RAM, 250w power supply, Asus P5LP-LE/Leonite 2 - GL8E motherboard.

I was thinking about one of the two configurations of upgrade:

-2,930 Ghz Intel Dual Core processor (or 3.0 Ghz and at the past if possible to overclock or if I can find one that is about 3.2 - 3.4)

-Nvidia 9500 GT 1

-Power supply 500w ATX

Or:

-2.93 Ghz Intel Dual Core processor (or 3.0 + Ghz)

1 G-Nvidia GTS 250 (not huge bulky card that occupies two slots and doesn't look like it will fit into the cramped space)

-650w ATX power supply

(way to cost more, probably will move with the first)

I am especially worried about the system of frying or incompatible or something will be the way. Will it work?

It's your motherboard.  Look over the section CPU/processor that the bios is probably set for the processor types that are listed.  Any other processor would be unknown if the bios will support it.  Your PC is spec'd for a maximum of 4 GB of memory.

You should be able to get a standard ATX power supply to fit.  You will likely not more than 550 watts, if you avoid the higher end video cards.  Measure your power supply dimensions before you buy a new power supply.  Go with a modular power supply as it helps to reduce wiring.

There are a few other articles and web links for your reference:

Review the specifications of performance ATI and NVIDIA . Look at the specifications of strip memory bandwidth and level of DirectX support.

  • Pavilion 15 ab128na: hard drive upgrade from the Pavilion 15-ab128na

    Hello

I am buying a laptop computer ab128na Pavilion 15 and wanted to know about upgrade capabilities.

It comes with a disc of M.2 256 GB SSD but it maybe a bit small. Is there room for an additional HARD disk drive (such as the gaming notebook pavilion)? So I, for example, M.2 256 GB SSD drive and a 1 TB HARD drive.

Or the model allows only for 1 hard drive, so I have to replace the SSD drive, it comes with a larger capacity SSD?

    Thanks in advance

    Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

This manual explains Star Wars Edition and the 15-ab128na sharing the same internals with this model.

The problem is if your laptop comes with just the MSSD m2 I don't think they understand the mounting kit for a 2.5-inch hard drive. You must purchase the part on the secondary market in some way.

Kit hardware hard drive (supports and connector) 809296-001

In addition, access to the hard drive Bay is a bit of a chore and put security at risk.

But to directly answer your question, the laptop is designed to have a m2 and the SATA 2.5 inch disk at the same time.

You could also install a HDD as pure storage using the slot of the DVD drive with an adapter. Of course, you lose the optical drive but I find myself with mine very rarely these days, anyway. Use of this Bay, the warranty will not be affected.

  • Pavilion dv7-6157 can be upgraded for the games?

I bought my son the Pavilion dv7-6157nr two years ago and he has problems with graphics on the high-end gaming, he plays. They freeze or crash. It has 8 G DDR3 SDRam, 2 generation Intel Core i7 2.2 GHz - 3.10 turbo and a radeon HD 6770Ms graphics card. Video memory it says "itchable graphics"... What does that mean?  This computer can evolve in a way that would help the graphics? Y at - it a graphics card or driver upgrade? More graphics memory can be affected?

I'm tired of hearing that suck laptops.

Laptops are not really designed or constructed for the high end games. I doubt that adding memory will make much difference. Given that the two most important points (CPU and GPU) cannot be updated easily, it is a losing battle.

The only other options I can suggest are...

    (1) a HP System Recovery to return the computer to a factory like State

    (2) do a clean install of WIndows 7 and try to use latest drivers for chipset manufacturers

    (3) buy a new computer that exceeds the requirements of game

  • I have a Hp Pavilion Media Center Edition 2002 running. How will I know if I have all the patches and updates, I need? Also is free upgrade to the edition of 2005?

I have a Hp Pavilion Media Center Edition 2002 running. How will I know if I have all the patches and updates, I need? Also is free upgrade to the edition of 2005?

Hi Philofduluth and thanks for posting.

There is not a free upgrade for Media Center 2005. If this is something you would like to do, I contact your OEM manufacturer and ask if there is a software upgrade, they can provide you.

If you have all the updates that are available for your system go to http://update.microsoft.com . Here, you can see all the latest reviews and optional updates that may be available to you and make install.

I hope this helps. Let us know if you have any questions.

  • HP Pavilion dv6 6c51ea: upgrade of the dv6 6c51ea ssd and ram wifi card

    Hello
As of late I thought the upgrade or replace my laptop, but I have a few questions to help me decide.
First ram cited the speed of the processor is listed as 1066/1333 hz, however I can not check it on the site of hp and the crucial site recommend ddr3 at 1600 hz, the site hp also says is that 8 GB however apparently due to the fact that it was released on Windows 7 However the processor can support 16 GB max memory support and since upgrading to win 10 my system would be doing, is this correct?

What kind of improvements I see by installing an ssd (Samsung evo 850) 500 GB?

And finally the wifi card could be readily available and upgraded to the new ac wifi to use the router to HQ and speeds mon is provides and I pay!

So basically will be the ssd, 2 x 8 GB 1600 mhz sodimm ram, and a wifi amd card equipped for the £300 it cost would he give me the jump in performance for his money as the cpu and gpu are rather dated now (i5 2450 m and radeon 7470 m) when a new system with an i5 4th gen with 1 GB graphics , 500 GB and 16 GB of ram, ssd would cost about £900 what would be the main benefits

    Thank you very much

    Shott

I stand well partially corrected. The 8 gig RAM max was on the technical page of HP and the maintenance manual says maximum 16 concerts. As you note, it will run at 1333 mhz, but yes you can install 16 gigs and upgrade to Windows 10 made no difference there. You may installed 16 concerts with all 64-bit operating systems.

    Here is the Manual:

    Your repair manuals

Page 28 - 29 a the list of supported wireless adapters EXCEPT the

    Module Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230 WLAN 631956-001

a mistake is well-documented. The part number is actually a single band card Ralink and other versions of HP of the 6230 Advanced-N used in some business models will not work in your laptop. We beat this horse dead on many posts here.

  • Can upgrade you the graphics card in this Machine?

I just ordered that model number HP Pavilion is m7-1015dx I really really look forward to receiving this laptop having specifications really very good for the price. The only thing that was really bugging me bad, it's that "can upgrade you the graphics card in this machine? Since I am on the Hardcore Gaming and school.

    -Thanks in advance.

He may have a problem, as indicated in the specifications is has the Intel UMA video that would be the worst choice of graphics of today, you can get to the game.

When you use a laptop for games, you always want to get a discrete graphics solution that uses its own memory first before using system memory.

You just have to try and see what happens.

  • Richard & update questions about the Pavilion M8407

I just put in an order for a Pavilion M8407C PC.  I ordered the PC because it is a quad-core, running a 64 bit OS and the price was so right.  I am interested in building a box fairly high-end at about 6 to 9 months, but need something now because my box 5 years just has no power for my applications anymore.

I'll use it for modeling 3D and 3D engineering applications in the short term, and it will become a long term rendering area.

    Issues related to the:

    (1) the PC has 4 GB or RAM of 1 Gb Simms.  I'll upgrade to 8 GB, he would like to know if it is able to use 16Gb.  The OS is Vista Home Premium - is limited to 8 GB or 16 GB?  Is the limit of the 'House' or 'premium '?

    (2) the PC contains 2 360 GB drives.  Are they "RAID" ed or only 2 separate units (master & slave)?  All programs would be installed on a disk or both?  The second disk can be replaced with a larger without any OS or system of the impact?

    (3) how can be upgraded on the PC?  The operating system at any time will stop working because too many things have changed from the original HP Setup?

Thanks for the review - I'm pretty comfortable with a screwdriver and have been building my own boxes, I'm not too familiar with the way in which 'Tier 1' PCs are set up.

    See you soon...

For someone who cares, I have rebuilt the box and here are the answers to my previous questions...

    (1) limit of motherboard memory is 8 GB.

    (2) the 2 360 GB disks are not attacked.  disk 1 is the 'OS' and 'HP install' backup and the second disc is empty.  This is ideal, because all OS and programs can be installed on the operating system drive, and the second player can be offered for data.  Easy for backups.

    (3) I have considerably improved the system.  You cannot change the motherboard, that would invalidate the Windows operating system installation.  MS wrote on OEM computers, changing motherboards is paramount to junking the old computer and requires a new purchase of OS.  I think they make exceptions for warranty cards mothers replacement - better double-check.

    I've updated...

    (A) memory.  Replaced the 4 GB (1 GB simms) with 8 GB (2 GB simms).  Simms spare parts become old.

    (B) added a 1 TB drive.  The chassis has room for 2 hard drives.  I added the third disc to his empty home of 5.25 "under the DVD drive.  I had to use a kit of adaptation and screws washers to fix the kit on the sides split to create a good grip.

    (C) replace the video card.  The NVidia 8500GT has of one taken DVI and HDMI output.  I couldn't get a good Monitor 2 out of it, because my monitors have entered VGA only.  In addition, I wanted a 1 GB of memory on the card as the programs I run use large textures so need more video of 512 MB of ram.  Replaced the with a NVidia GTS250 1 GB 8500GT.

    (D) the updates above, especialy video card, required a higher power supply.  I replaced the original 300W with a 650W unit.

    (E) the M8407C system comes with a slot to accept a "HP Personal Media Drive" unit.  Recently, I received an email from Best Buy, which featured a HP Personal Media Drive unites 750 GB on sale for CAD$ 110.  Sold. Removable data backup unit.

To summarize, for a total investment of just under $ 1100, I created a Quad Core, 8 GB ram, disk hard system of 2.4 to pushing the 2 monitors.  The goal was to build a system capable of modeling 3D and animation for cheaper than buying the parts off the shelf.  I saved CAD $700 and have spare parts to help build a render region.

  • HP Support Assistant: older version give problems, how to upgrade to the latest version?

    Hello world

My computer is a HP Pavilion laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I have problems with one of the HP software programs pre-installed - HP Support Assistant. It appears once a week (it works for a while after Windows has loaded and then appears a screen) and I opened Assistant support and attempted to change his schedule, but he simply refuses to save the changes I have made to its settings. I noticed that the version number is 4.2.5.3. The program when searching for updates (manually triggered), cannot access HP servers, but fails to download updates, cannot gather information can not analyze the system and tells me that my computer has all the updates (which, given the number of HP Support Assistant version) ", is obviously not correct). So I ran HP Update (version is 5.001.000.014), but it says that I have the updates.

Finally, via msconfig, I searched for HP Support Assistant, but he wasn't anywhere. However, while it was in operation (which slowed down the computer), I saw it listed in the Task Scheduler (under applications, I think).

I did some reading, and it seems that the latest version of HP Support Assistant is version 5. How can I upgrade to the latest version? Other preinstalled software of HP update and HP Support Assistant that came with the laptop includes:

    Center of HP solutions-

    -HP Advisor

    -HP MediaSmart

    -HP Photosmart Essential 3.5

    -HP Smart Web Printing

-the printer drivers and software for my HP all-in-one printer

I disabled the following HP services as they could slow down the process of starting Windows:

-HP Health Check (disabled via services.msc)

-HP Digital Monitor (I think that it has been installed with the printer software. Disabled via msconfig)

Can someone help me please? Thanks in advance for your time.-)

    Hello

Most HP installers contain several languages and you should be able to choose German during the first part of the installation.

I recommend you to uninstall your current version first by using programs and features.  When it is uninstalled, it is often a good idea to restart the laptop before proceeding with the installation of the latest version.

    All the best,

  • Can upgrade you the graphics card on a laptop 15 Pavllion

    Hi I have a HP Pavilion 15 Notebook PC processor Intel (r) Pentium (r) CPU 2117U @ 1.80 GHz, 1800 Mhz, 2 Lossnay Intel(r) HD Graphics

Is it possible to upgrade the graphics for game purposes?

    Thank you very much

    Hello:

Your model laptop does not come with a graphics "card".

Most laptops today have soldered to the motherboard as well as circuitry (GPU) graphics processing unit.

In other words, it cannot be upgraded or replaced.

To improve the graphics of your laptop, a full motherboard replacement will have to be done and it would cost as much buying a new laptop with the graphic solution you are looking for.

  • How the Pavilion HPE-150 t has 6 GB of RAM with 3 DIMM slots

Check the specifications for the Pavilion HPE-150 t, I see that HP currently offers a free upgrade to 6 GB of RAM (from 4 GB.) What I don't understand is that these 6 GB of RAM are provided in 3 DIMMs.

The only setting I can think of that allows two-channel with 3 DIMMs mode in this situation is to have a pair of 1.5 GB DIMMS in channel A and a single 3 GB DIMM in channel B.

However, AFAIK, DIMM is not sold in one of these densities (1.5 GB and 3 GB.)

Can someone explain this for me, please?

As far as I know, HP is not the "Dual-channel" advertising - they simply offer amount:

    http://www.shopping.HP.com/series/category/desktops/HPE150t_series/3/computer_store?JumpID=reg_R1002_USEN

FREE UPDATE! 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz SDRAM [3 DIMMS] from 4 GB

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01976259

It is highly unlikely HP POP just in an extra 2 GB DIMMS.

The only way you can get dual channel of this mobo is to fill the memory DDR3 DIMM 2 and 4 or all 4 DIMM with the same type and density.

  • Upgrade of the Sierra: where are my pictures!

Well, I see that a lot of people have this problem but have yet to find an answer to the problem anywhere.  My patience is lost, I despise the fact that I have * money on shit Apple but I need to find my photos.  Stupidly, I'm fallen for Apple BS again and "upgraded" in the Sierra.  Now all my photos and the Organization, that I spent a year are no longer accessible by something else as well as the new 'Photos '.  I never had iPhoto first, never used.  Each thread simple discussion I can find guard speaks of iPhoto and animated for the Photos news images.  I can see the picture files, but all my organization has disappeared; and I can't access my photos of any other application EXCEPT Photos!  If I could find an Apple exec I would slam their face until they cried!

Someone has a REAL solution to get my photos and the Organization in the way it was before this stupid OS Sierra update?

    < re-titled by host >

I think you should be able to find your photos here ~/Pictures/Photos Library.photoslibrary.

Presumably, you could also restore your library and its organization of your backup so that you can continue to use any photo library program you usually use.

  • Can't change language after OS upgrade of the Sierra

    Hello world

After the upgrade of the Sierra, my MacBook Pro has decided to return to the French.

Now, I am unable to change the language on the menus and dialog boxes.

I tried to put the English in language and text preferences, same problem.

I also tried to run sudo languagesetup, same problem.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

    See you soon!

Language changes are not applied immediately to the running applications, but they should be applied to the applications that you start after the change is made. Changes to the Finder will apply if you raise, or to do it easily, just log out and back in.

Log out and back in? Or restart your mac? If you didn't do it and let us know.
