Upgrade OS new Verizon blackBerry Smartphones lack BB after official Maps

I've upgraded via DM 122 version no problem except one, namely I have more cards to BB and I don't know what other default applications may be missing.  Someone at - it a list of the default applications that come with a new storm?

My question is how can I get the missing apps on my phone?

Thank you

Kraut, have you fact the manual (download and install manually) and the upgrade via the upgrade of the web?

If you did the manual upgrade, open Desktop Manager > Application Loader > advanced and make sure that BlackBerry Maps is checked for load.

If not, you will need to explain in detail that how you performed the upgrade.

This means that you have your employers device, they have you removed from their network and forced a new password to you. You can call to ask what is the password.

BUT, probably, their intention to reset the password is for you to do a wipe of the device security so that none of the persistent employer email, data, etc., remain on this device.

After clearing security, you end up with essentially a new, fresh, device with no previous, ready to install as a personal device data.

I've updated BBM from version 7 to 7.0.1. After the reboot, I found that my BBM was gone. I checked my world in Blackberry World, to see that it is installed, but it was gone. Hello

This may seem s stupid question, so my apologies.  I just activated my new (well old, but new to me) Verizon Curve 8330 and it doesn't have a browser app.  I tried to go to the Opera to send me a download link, but even with that I can't get my phone to go to it.  I have run a security wipe before I activated it.  I can't find a browser to download on my computer to install via Desktop Manager either.  What Miss me?

Hi and welcome to the forums!

Are you sure that your data plan is in place? How have you activated it?

Try this: in the home screen, go to the connection icon, click it.

and go to the status of the service, click, touch menu, select diagnostic test, select

run. During the test on the phone your data access will be reviewed and

a registration request will be sent. Once the test is complete, you can read the categories

and see if a pin test worked, and registration request has been sent successfully.

If the test fails I would call the carrier and have them check you are considering.

If the test is successful they what follows:

Go to options / advanced options, host Routing Tables, click to enter. DO NOT CLICK on any list.
Press the menu key and select sign up now.
You will receive a verification email. Then go to email settings and send service directories.
You will receive a confirmation of installation for each e-mail account.

Once this done, do a battery pull to reset the unit.

    Let us know now!

    Thank you

All your support remains I said earlier... your carrier or dealer is responsible for all your formal support and services. Enter your questions for them, and they would have the possibility of that degenerate into RIM if necessary. Carriers are 100% responsible for packages of OS they choose to get out... RIM releases OS packages only for carriers and companies decide if they wish to release to their users, and if they do while they are responsible for support for it.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphones lack all the contacts in the phone after the backup (via Desktop Manager)

Hi - my tour 9630 died, and after getting a new phone from verizon has opened the Office Manager to run the restore. I have now NO telephone contacts at all in my address book, but all my single email yahoo contacts are now in my phone. How can I recover my phone contacts?

WOW, FIXED! OK, so after playing with the phone for a while, I noticed another problem - I have had wayyyyy too much e-mail contcts; as in every yahoo only contact had synced my phone. so I went Googling issuing telephone directories, options and rset type who turned off Wi - Fi sync. then I restored (for the billionth time) and voila! no more contacts additional email and phone contacts are back.

Weird question and I wonder if this is normal?

is it possible to be notified before restoration you must disable your wireless sync (which I didn't even know was)?

Thank you blackberry forums! you solved my problem again!

  • BlackBerry smartphones lack of synchronization problems

I started w / original version of the lack of synchronization and now have the beta version installed on mac and storm 2.0.

Initially, I could synchronize with version 1. ? only after uninstalling and reinstalling sync missing.

Now, despite the historic isync reset and back on both iCal and address book and do a mac crash to storm, I can't sync. 'Contacts' seem to crash but nothing changes on the storm. 'Calendar' gets ignored. Today, I just found that there are 2 or 3 copies of each month on the storm, and he's not going to 'today' when this button is pressed.

I've done numerous resets hard on the storm, but the calendar is still messed up.

I thought that the memory of the storm of clean rags or make a total reset could be the way forward.

    How do you do that?

    Any thoughts?

  • BlackBerry Smartphones VERY disappointed after upgrade to 5.0

My phone won't stop freezing!  I do about 20 battery tire/day and it gets worse.  Verizon has had two wipes, restoration and reinstallation of 5.0 but nothing works.  In addition to all this, I lost ALL my third-party applications.  Yes, I know that I can maybe find all of them and try to get the seller make me reinstall, but what a pain!  I did not buy them throughout the App World...

Their only solution is to send a re-certified phone.  I asked to have to upgrade the operating system and having the same problem, but they don't care.  They are not sent a Storm2, of course.

I can't believe what a nightmare this has been!  I do not hear about this kind of things happening with the iPhone...

Take the replacement phone.  Your clearly has a problem, then take the free replacement.  I got a replacement in March and it has worked very well, so don't be afraid of the thing "renovated".  Once he was out of the flat package, you could not tell the also of a 'new '.  Your replacement should come with 5.0 already load on it... or at least ask to make sure that it doesn't.  I did the upgrade yesterday morning and the new OS is great.  I would gladly put my storm against any iPhone now.  It is smooth, very sensitive and much faster all around.  The camera shutter lag is gone, no waiting during the passage of the apps, memory seems to be stable at about 21MO, not randomly restart.  RIM has done a great job of most persistent problems pricing.  I have only three applications of third party on mine, but the upgrade went smooth as silk... didn't have to do a thing later except reorganize my files the way I had them.  So, again, take the replacement and make a gesture to end your frustration.   Oh, and the iPhone has its share of questions, too.  Go on their community forum... you will see.  Just trying to give you a different perspective and hope.

    See you soon!
