Upgrade to Acrobat 9.5.1 breaks the Flash features to read archived messages

On the installation of Update 9.5.1 to Acrobat Pro on WinXP, I read more is the index of the previously archived e-mail collections created using the email to PDF macro in Outlook 2007.

PDF data file indices were readable before and are still legible in Acrobat Reader X.  This is why the content of the data file seems to be OK.

I get the error message as below and then cancel (as the download page does not work) I don't see the first email in the collection as a PGA two PDF, which is limited to say the least.

Please tell us how do I restore the functionality I had before this upgrade.adobe_error_msg.gif

Yes, as I said in my original post.the link to the download page does not work.  Also like Acrobat Reader X worked (on the same computer), and then the required Flash software was already somewhere on my computer

However, this problem has now been resolved by applying the recent update to Acrobat Pro v.9.5.1 v.9.5.2, reopening the PDF portfolio and following the link in the new dialog box that seemed to go to the correct Web page to Adobe to download and install the update of the Flash software.  This site has a date of this month (August 2012).

From v.9.5.2, this problem is solved.

    Hello

Could a right click on the PDF file > open with > choose program by default and select CD player as default PDF Viewer.

You can do it from the control panel as well.

This would make CD player as default PDF Viewer.

So guys someone help me about this

It is a code that I found somewhere that will provide this type of functionality.

It uses % and $ to indicate where substitutions must go, and the number between the two is used as the index in the array of strings that you provide as the second parameter.

I suspect that you can adapt it to your needs.

As Simon points out, it's really just a problem of standard Java, and you will be able to find solutions to these kinds of things looking around the Internet rather than here, where our attention is BlackBerry Java.    in fact, I think I found this code somewhere on the Net.

  • Update the Flash Mac Safari Reader download problems

I use Mac OS X 10.6.8 and I am trying to download the update for Flash 11.6.602.180. When I download the file, its just like install_flash_player_osx.dmg.mdlp.

When I try to open the downloaded could, it will just open my MATlab application and not the typical folder that click you on start update.

Currently, any use of video on Sarafi has a "plugin blocked" and I can't watch anything.

    I thought about it.

Changed the name of the file by removing the .mdlp

Once fix, it would open to the top as usual.
Just an FYI if anyone has the same problem.

He opened my matlab application because matlab programs end in "a.m."

  • upgrade to acrobat?

    How to upgrade acrobat?

    Hello

You must purchase an upgrade to Acrobat DC since it is the only upgrade adobe sells now.
What version of Acrobat are you currently using?

If you are referring to the update to Acrobat, then it's a totally different process from the upgrade.

To update, launch Acrobat > help > find updates and install the update and you're good to go.

You must restart your computer once the software is updated.

  • Deleting files from the Flash drive

I have a Sandisk Cruzer Edge 16 GB Flash Drive.  I use it with two computers, an iMac and a Macbook Air, both using OS X 10.8.2.  Recently, I loaded about 10 GB of files on it.  I have now deleted these files.  However, Finder always shows the Flash drive as carrying 10.8 GB of files and having only 5,2 GB of available.  When I try to record a 10 GB file on the Flash drive, I get a message saying that there is not enough available space.

How can I delete uploaded files from the Flash drive so that I can reuse the whole 16 GB?

I don't use a Mac, so I'm going off the coast of the memory of what I read here before, but I think you need to empty your trash, while the disc is still connected to your Mac.

I wish I had not updated Adobe Reader - last time I did, I also had problems and had to uninstall the update and reinstall an earlier version.

Check that Thunderbird knows the correct program to use.
Tools > Options > Annexes > Incoming tab

To the right is going to be action - click action see a drop down.
See if there is a specific mention of using "Adobe Reader DC".
I know that 'use Adobe Reader' is used for older versions of Adobe Reader DC.

Click on 'Other use' to see a more extensive list of options.
If you still can't find, click 'Browse '.
Then you can locate the *.exe to adobe specific dc and click Open

I recently upgraded to Acrobat reader DC, my operating system is windows 7, I have produced a file that I send as attachment, unfortunately the size is too large to send, how do I optimize the file in Acrobat reader, the option does not seem to be available.

    Hi mavisp97650958,

There are two ways to reduce the size of the page: -.

    (1) optimize PDF Acrobat Help. Optimization of PDF files

    (2) Split the PDF split a PDF | Adobe Acrobat DC tutorials

And both the option will work with the application Acrobat products download Adobe Acrobat | Standard, Pro | DC, XI, X, and not with free CD player.

However, you can use the option Send & follow-up to send big PDF files Acrobat help. Send and track large files online using Acrobat Reader DC.

  • CC won't allow me to upgrade to Acrobat DC once uninstalled the previous version of the solutions?

I tried several times to upgrade to Acrobat DC, but CC says that there is an earlier version on my machine... even after that I uninstalled Acrobat X using my Windows Control Panel. I also tried the uninstall through the CC app feature, but nothing. After the computer restarts, a logout and back in CC and try to download directly from the Adobe.com site, I'm still stick. Are what solutions there?

    Hi AadeshSingh,

According to my control panel, there is no instance of Acrobat (any version) on my machine. However, the issue seems to have resolved itself. CC is restarted and then allowed me to install Acrobat DC.

Just to be sure CC, Acrobat and other Adobe software are well-oiled, I will download and run the cleanup tool once DC installation is complete.

    Thanks for the reply.

    Richard

Yes, I saw that too.  I called and they said that a subscription for one year for Adobe Acrobat Pro is $179,88.  (This happens to be $14.99 X 12).  They could take my order over the phone, but were not sure that this price is available on the web.

  • VMware Tools upgrade changes machineID, breaks the issuance of licenses for some applications

We have this application called localization, manufactured by Hyland Software. Whenever I've upgrade VMware Tools on our ESXi hosts on all virtual machines, it breaks the granting of licenses for the application and localization will not work until the licensing is completely redone. No idea why this is happening?

I'm certainly not asking someone to solve the problem of the application, but what on earth could possibly VMTools change that would have caused this? Thanks in advance!

If this is what is causing the problem?

I'm sure of it - about 99.9% Yes.

And if so, what changes would affect a particular software feature licenses?

"All the virtual machines have a hardware version, which shows the characteristics of virtual hardware that supports the virtual machine, such as BIOS or EFI, number of virtual slots, maximum number of processors, the maximum memory configuration and other features material." - from http://www.vmware.com/products/datacenter-virtualization/vsphere/compute.html

They probably linked the license to an individual (or several) attribute of the "hardware" of the virtual machine. Think of it regarding a physical system - changed nothing in the operating system (at least not GUID, MSN, etc.), it was something that the operating system has access to related material. You could probably bug them enough and get them to reveal madness method they use for this, but I don't know if it would be really useful. You can leave virtual to older material , to some extent, which means that you can reduce the number of times you have to repeat this process.

  • The data encryption strategies and personal passwords lost with upgrade to Acrobat Pro, Acrobat DC

    Good evening.

I looked for similar discussions, but I have not found anyone. I apologize if this is a duplicate question.

I noticed that after the update to Acrobat DC my password settings (Adobe Pro) was did not up-to-date in the menu "security > encryption of password.

Without warnings or explanations before installing the new sw: it's a real problem if someone have many policies based on various different behaviors or target customers.

Now, how can I recover my settings lost?

    Thanks in advance.

    Mauro Romano

    Hi Mauro,

The good news when you create a custom security policy that they are saved in your user space and remain there, even if the application is uninstalled. I understand that you want the preferences of the user to be migrated as part of the upgrade, and I'll get a request into our database of bugs for that, but in the meantime, let's get the moved file.

Let's start by finding the original file. We are looking for the file security - policy.acrodata, but its location is dependent on version and platform dependent.

If you are on a machine Windows look in C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Acrobat\\Security

With a Mac look at : Library: Application Support: Adobe: Acrobat:: security

In both cases 'user name' will be your name, sign and 'version' will be the main version of Acrobat you are using (for example, 10.0 and 11.0).  Once you have located the file security - policy.acrodata the next task is to copy it into new safety record. The path will be the same, except the 'version' or '2015' or 'DC' depending on the version of Acrobat has been installed.

Once the file has been copied (Please make sure that Acrobat is closed before copying the file) the next time you launch Acrobat the missing font will be in the Encrypt menu, which you get to via protection tool. An open unencrypted file, click the Protect icon on the right tools Panel, then on the toolbar of the Encrypt menu selection and you should see that missing political on the drop-down list.

    I hope this helps.
