  There could be a few different things going on to cause this, and change your region has been a great first step to understand that and fixing it. It seems that the configuration is ok, but when I try to get into the mailbox again get the error messages.  Same question. There is no work around that I can use. I need my job.   No, it's not a known issue with ios 10.  I have two e-mail accounts and no connection problem.

  That message "connection to server failed" sounds like a problem with the server of your e-mail provider.
