Upgrade VM HARDWRE with command line

Hello

I move my cluster 4.1 esx to esxi 5.0, in the need to upgrade the "vm hardware", to do that I have to stop the virtual machines.

I have to stop the virtual machines with a powercli script, but how to do a right click for all virtual machines and click on "upgrade the hardware?

Thanks for your response

You can view the example where x, there are controls

There is a more detailed guide here, I reference below:

    1. first of all, you can enable it in settings:

    1. open the properties for a version of the application specification

    2. navigate to the Advanced category

    3. check the pass all arguments on-demand command line

To pass the arguments to command line to request and access in your code follow the same steps as for LabVIEW 7.x.

  • Debugging starts with command line arguments?

How to start the debugger to a program installation command line arguments? I've never had the need to do this before and I am puzzled as to how to do it now. I added a couple of command line arguments to control some run time options and I don't know how to start the debugger with the options passed to the program. I used cela in the past to start two different execution through a pair of icons of Windows shortcut with properties: goal: target option1a option1b chemin_acces_de: path_toexe option2a option2b but they have so far been so trivial that I never really had to try them under the debugger. How to start the debugger and the RCGA and * argv [] variable configuration when main() is called? It is a modification of a very old project, so I use CVI 5.5 here, if it's important. -wally.

    Hey Wally.

In CVI 5.5, you can go to the menu Options in the project window and choose ... command line to specify command line options to use when debugging.  In more recent versions of the CVI, this option is located under the menu run .

  • ActionScript Mobile project with command line

Hey guys, trying to figure out how to compile a project originally created in Flash Builder 4.7 as ActionScript Mobile project with the command line. I found mxmlc and that seems to be exactly what I need, but it seems that take a .mxml file and with this type of project, no .mxml was generated by Flash Builder.

Am I supposed to just create it manually? I hope there is an easier way because the long-term goal is to continue to work with Flash Builder for development and then use the command line to actually deploy the final product and I don't want to have to manage a .mxml file.

Any suggestions? I need the instructions for Windows - thank you!

The solution was to use the - dump-config inside Flash Builder parameter and then use it to pass as an argument to mxmlc with the - load-config parameter. Thank you guys

  • How to call a function plugin with command line parameters

I wrote a plugin that processes an open document. The treatment can be started by selecting a menu item in Acrobat. To start the processing of the command line, I also wrote a small Visual Basic executable file that currently a bit activates the menu command. However, I now have to pass some parameters to the plugin. I managed to call a function plugin with settings by loading the .api as a library file in the VB executable. But it seems that the entire Acrobat SDK functionality is not initialized in this way. So I can't work with the PDF file. How can I call my function plugin with settings in Acrobat? Thomas

  • By specifying the container to connect with command line utilities (sqlplus/expdp etc.)

    Hello

To inaugurate this forum I was play multitenant/pluggable has 12 c and I have a general question about connections to the database of the container - it is clear from what I've tried so far (and what I've read) there is no way to connect to a database from the container without using a sqlnet connection. For example:

    Export ORACLE_HOME, ORACLE_SID etc.

sqlplus username/password - it can only connect to the database of the container? (once you are in you can alter the session to switch to the plugable database but cannot do so directly to the connection)

to connect to a database that is connected is always through sqlnet

    sqlpus username/password@pluggable

There is no option to say something like:

    export ORACLE_SID = container

    Export ORACLE_CONTAINER = pluggable

    and then do sqlplus username/password?

additional command line switch or as

    export ORACLE_SID = container

sqlplus-container = name of user and password pluggable

This understanding is correct or have I missed something in the documentation?

    Kind regards

    Hello Richard,.

In Oracle Multitenant, the only way to connect to a PDB file is by specifying a service.

However, there's a shortcut you can use - TWO_TASK, you will find described elsewhere.

This allows you to specify the default service to serve--think of it as being silently added to your specification by name of user and password. I hope this helps.

It can be on any windows box. This is a Toolbox for the ESX host and Virutal Center functions.

    http://www.VMware.com/beta/vitk_win/

    Overview

The Toolbox VMware Infrastructure (VI) (for Windows) 1.0 includes more than 120 cmdlets, a set of sample scripts and a library of functions that make the management and automation of the VMware Infrastructure easier than ever.

The VI Toolkit (for Windows) is a tool of command-line and script based on PowerShell that provides a useful feature for virtual infrastructure management.

    Its use

The first thing you should do after the launch of the kit of VI (for Windows) is to have a connection to a VirtualCenter or ESX Server. To start, call the Connect-VIServer cmdlet and specify IP address or DNS of your vCenter server or ESX, the Protocol (http or https) name, username and password.

  • read com ports with command-line through labview?

I'm trying to find a way to get a specific com port through the command via the command exec system prompt in labview. Is it possible to get the list of com port connections just like one you see in Device Manager where he will give the list the name of the device connected to a certain com port? I want to be able to automatically find the port com for a specific device.

because it is a virtual com port that gets set up and I tried the vi to find resources VISA and it did not work. However, funny enough, just after I submitted this post, I found the solution to my problem. If you use exec system and type this command in the standard input:

    WMIC path Win32_SerialPort

This will bring up a list of all com ports connected and very fast too. From there I can analyze the information I want and widdle down to the com of the desired usb device port.

Maybe this can help someone on the road.

  • Unable to generate the token of debugging with command line: illegal device ID

The doc online is missing (broken), so I'm assuming that we must use the PIN located on the about page, but the token generator does not accept.

It must be in hexadecimal. That is to say 0 x.

  • How to remove a shortcut with the command line?

How to remove a shortcut with the command line?

How to make a backup of the local users and groups with command line?

You delete a shortcut, just as you would remove any other file.  A shortcut will end with the extension ".lnk".  So assuming you are trying to remove the shortcut named "Shortcut.lnk" which appears to the user 'Bob's Office, you use the button Delete (del) or 'clear' command by specifying the full path to the file.  (Remember to put filename in quotes if there is a space anywhere in the path or name) as in:

    del "C:\documents and settings\Bob\Desktop\Shortcut.lnk".

What kind of a backup 'users and groups' you want to do?  If there is a backup of the users and groups as written in the registry, a good registry as C:\WINDOWS\ERUNT backup program that will make the command line.  If you are trying to backup all users and their data as well, then you are better off with a backup program.

  • ESX 4 command line upgrade to ESX 4.1

I'm upgrading to ESX 4.0 server.  It has only local storage and there are Virtual Machines on the local data store.  If I use the pre-upgrade beam and upgrad by using the command line upgrade removes the virtual machines on it re formatting of VMFS volume?

Unless you encounter unexpected problems the VMFS datastore should be preserved (otherwise it wouldn't be an upgrade). However, it is recommended to have a current backup before the upgrade in case of disaster.

Please make sure that you take a look at http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1022140 and the Upgrade Guide (you can find the link in the KB article) before you run the upgrade. Also, make sure that you meet the prerequisites, for example host supported and firmware, enough disk space hardware on / Boot and / root...

  • Command-line installation or upgrade of oracle database

    Hi all

    Just a question,
OPERATING SYSTEM; OUL5x64 without x window

Is it possible to install or upgrade the database using command line
    NO X-WINDOWS?
or if you know any docs on this issue, please provide a link.
    Thanks in advance.

    It is not possible.
Even a silent installation requires X-Windows.
It is also not a problem as X-Windows has always been required.

  • Go (argc and argv) command line argument to a LabVIEW built the shared library.

    Hello

I correctly use this trick to create a LabVIEW application that runs on Linux without X display.

    http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/5D6EC36DCF43343786257449006919E6

I would like to know if it is possible to pass command line arguments (. / TEST A B C D) directly in the library shared without having to pass arguments using an array of strings that would need to write code using DSNewHandle, DSSetHandleSize, extract arguments and... (I'm not proficient in C, but if I don't have the choice, I'll do and improve my skills of C).

    int main(int argc, char *argv[])
    {
            Test(argc, argv);
            return 0;
    }

    Thank you

    Michel

Well, you can always flatten it into a single string separated by a space and pass like that. Reverse basically what made the operating system, when he calls your main function with command line parameters. And while the first element of the array is always the name of the program itself you can just ignore that here, but then put shaped everything in a single string.
