Also please let me know that the reader downloads for XP x 64 for DV5-1203ax

    Hello

There are big problems with the drivers for XP 64 bit version, software, etc. This version is not as good as another system supported. I know that the there is a difference which can be very important to you. Then XP 32 bit can contain only 3, 5 GB of Ram and 64-bit version that can take all this chipset. If you need Ram full for any program or any other thing the best choice is to use both systems. One will be XP32 bit and second x 64 Vista or Win7 x 64 which is now in beta test mode.

Until you do anything please readmy all post, please.

Don't forget also then before starting the change for dual-boot on you laptop you need to prepare the XP CD. All information on this subject, you will find in the section of downgrade XP 32 bit which is written below in this post.

If you want to use two systems on your computer, you will need to do it like this:

Has) for Vista x 64 with XP 32 bit: how to dual boot with Vista installed first guide here.

    B) for XP 32 bit with Win7 x 64: how to dual boot with 32-bit XP installed first guide here.

    Downgrade XP 32 bit:

Decommissioning of this model is not always easy, and your model is designed to work well with Vista. Please check first that link written by Joshua Wood and concentrate on problems that may appear when you install the sound card in it.

Before going down do Vista backup. Here you have all the information, how do.

Now you need to integrate your drivers Sata (only x 86 drivers) with nLite.

Here are the Sata drivers for you. Just unRAR it drivers with Winrar.

Here you will find the file .doc with guide how to integrate this with Windows XP Sata driver. (You will need to open the Microsoft Office).

Here you will find the file with the same guide *.pdf . (You must open the Acrobat Reader software. Download link for this program here. Select your language and your system it.).

Also, remember that you use at least version of WinXP SP2 . If you have not got the version SP2 here you can download this service pack and here you have a guide to how to integrate this with XP file written by nLite.

In nLite, you can even burn your new XP CD with these changes.

All the drivers, you will find in the guide of Cheryl General Guide of Downgrade XP for HP Laptops_Part 3.

If you have problems make me know about it. I'll try to help you as quickly as possible.

  • Upgrade windows 7 HP Pavilion dv6820ee Entertainment Notebook PC.

    I have

    HP Pavilion dv6820ee notebook PC

containing Ethernet 10/100BT integrated network and Intel Pro/Wireless 2200 802 interface. 11 b / g built-in wireless and when I upgrade to windows 7, I can't found its correct software, any help, please.

    Hello:

    These drivers should work...

Ethernet.  Download and install the 4th on the list.

    http://www.Realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?langid=1&PNid=14&PFID=7&level=5&Conn=4&DownTypeID=3&GETDOWN=false

The Intel 2200 B/G wireless network card is not supported by HP or Intel for W7.

See if the driver Vista support for your PC and driver page will work installing it manually if you already tried to install it automatically.

Download and run the file.  Ignore and close any windows error you get.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-66349-1&cc=us&DLC=en&LC=en&OS=2093&product=3716846&sw_lang=

Go to Device Manager and click on the network controller needing drivers.  Click on the driver tab, click on set to update driver. Choose the browse my computer for Driver Software method and locate the installation folder that was created when you ran the file.

This file will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp41263.

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and I hope the driver will install that way.

I know that the Intel 2200 B/G WLAN card works on W7 because I installed W7 when it first came out on an old HP nc8000 who had supported for XP.

I have not had any problems with Vista of Intel drivers on this map.

  • The issue of upgrading processor on HP Pavilion DV5 (Intel Core 2 Duo T5800 @ 2.00 Ghz) No. 1138...

From this thread because I have to say how confused I'm on processor options for my DV5 1138

I want a Quad Core, or at least a faster dual core... but my main question is if I can use one of the Intel Core i # series processors. Anyone happens to know? I think that my type of socket is P (478). That's what he said when I ran a test CPU-Z on the laptop. Or can I go in i # Core-series so I have to stay with the Core 2 series?

    Thanks in advance

Ur stuck with the core 2 duo.

But this isn't bad at all. Since you have CPU - Z.

See if you have the GM45 and PM45 chipset.

    Sound on the mainboard tab.

If you do, you could go with a SLGEE T9900 processor.

    Its 3.06 GHZ, 6 MB L2, 1066FSB and a TDP of 35 watts.

    Its an expensive upgrade...

  • How can I fix lines horizontal randomly and glitter for the LCD screens for HP Pavilion dv5 Vista?

How can I correct random lines horizontal and glitter for the LCD screens for windows vista HP Pavilion dv5? Only, it happens randomly and can get all a few minutes at a time every few hours. The entire screen white and black and horizontal lines will appear during the flickering on the half top of the screen only. Nothing else changes. My sound is immutable, and none of my screens change the size or location. However, they may appear up and down during the flashing. Can someone give me an idea of what is wrong? I looked on Google for possible corrections, but most of them seem to be for refresh rate and I don't have a notch for this and can't change it according to the steps they offer.

Read my initial response on what it takes to please.

    "See if this helps you:

These lines indicate corruption graphics driver or lack of graphic material.

Go to the HP Web site > Search a drivers and download article > search your laptop model number > your operating system > drivers for it: either video / graphic / Chipset (according to the wording it) > download and install the drivers.

    http://WWW8.HP.com/us/en/support-drivers.html

If that fixed it, it seems to me be a problem of graphic material.

Because it's a laptop; If under warranty, contact HP.

If is not under warranty, contact a repair shop, local. »

    See you soon.

  • Upgrade CPU Hp Pavilion DV5 1130ep

    Hello

I have a Hp Pavilion DV5 1130ep with the following specifications:

    HP Pavilion DV5 1130ep

    BIOS: F.38 (last)

    Memory: 3 GB DDR2 pc2-6400 (2 + 1)

    Motherboard: Quanta 3600

Graphics card: Ati mobility radeon hp 3400 series

    Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X 2 QL - 62 2.0 ghz.

OS: Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit.

I recently bought an AMD Turion 64 X 2 ZM86 2.4 ghz cpu on Ebay which accordingly to manual, it is compatible with my laptop:

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c01550108.PDF

After you install the cpu on my hp pavilion dv5 1130ep amd turion laptop after a few minutes, freezes or restarts without warning, turning a 124 blue screen error code that indicates a possible hardware failure.

I ran other software of test (prime95) cpu indicating also equipment failure "illegal sumout" on one of the cores.

It described does not with the previous processor.

Meanwhile, the seller sent me another cpu but the blue screen error remains the same, although the error when running prime95 this time is 'expected 0.5 less than 0.4"also on one of the cores.

Have also reset the default bios with no result.

Ran Windows 7 memory test without error to report.

This does not occur with the original cpu (AMD Athlon 64 X 2 QL - 62-2, 0GHz)

Error occurs more quickly when I play a game or just simply restarts without any special provisions.

Am I missing something, or the two cpu is damaged?

    Thanks in advance

Yes, the manual says that CPU should work either discrete or integrated graphics type motherboard. Laptop processor upgrades, are at best, a roll of the dice. It is very unlikely, you will get 2 defective processors, but eBay sellers of CPU are notorious for palming off defective processors.

I could try a plus from a seller in different before throwing in the towel.

  • Pavilion 6650z: upgrade Windows 10

I was wondering if an upgrade to Windows 7 SP 1 Windows 10 could prove useful. My desktop computer Pavilion meets all the hardware requirements to run Win 10. It's a CTO in January 2011.

I've already tried an update to Win 10 on-site the weekend of the new year, earlier this year. While the update process, the indexing for my Corel Photo Paint Shop Pro X 3 process lasted several hours with no end in sight. It is at this time that I decided to go back to Windows 7. Could not find the link "back to the previous Windows" in the Windows 10 settings, I used my system recovery disks to reinstall factory on my Pavilion.

Before considering a new attempt to upgrade Windows 10, I would like to know if it's worth my time and effort to install Win 10. Also, I would like to know which is better: an upgrade in place against the clean install.

I read Windows 7 machines that met in the hardware configuration required to win 10 has failed as well in the upgrade process, that the results are mixed at best.

    Thanks for your help.

    Westin doc

    Doc-Westin

You are right to be cautious about making the upgrade of Win10 on a Win7 PC.

I did it on several\ PC Win7 and it completely trashed both of them - where they were to be restored to factory settings to restore operation.

I wrote the following to inform people about the measures to be taken during the upgrade PC Win7 to Win10...

Desktop computers older Win7 tend to fare badly when upgraded to Win10 - mainly due to lack of HP Win10 drivers for older hardware.

If you are determined to upgrade to Win10, you must be willing to do four things:
    (1) do a full image backup of disk external drive or USB stick, capacity
    (2) changes to the reserved system partitioning hard disk recommandΘes mΘthodes,
    (3) use a different approach and maybe more than one, as Windows Update to do the upgrade,
    (4) prepare for a clean install.

    ---------------------------------
    1: backup of images:
This is VITAL, because the machine is doomed to failure of the upgrade, and when that happens, you will learn that GoBack to Win10 function is NOT reliable, and that can leave you with a corrupt machine that will require the factory reset and lose all that on it, to get it working again.

You can avoid this by making an image backup to an external hard drive or a USB drive using Macrium reflect (MR), which provides a FREE version that can be used to image and restore partitions or drives together.

What I recommend is the following:
    (1) download and install Macrium reflect (MR)
    (2) run M. and choose the option: "Create an image of the partition (s) required to backup and restore Windows" to write a full backup to an external drive or USB key
    (3) use the option to create a CD or a USB startup key

NOW, you have the means to restore a full system that works for the external hard drive or USB key in a few minutes.
    ---------------------------------
    2: System reserved for resizing:
There is a small partition on the HDD with Win7 preinstalled machines known as system reserved.  It is something known as the boot loader code.  There is 100 MB format: all that is necessary for Win7.  But Win10 needs 350 MB and, in some cases, is NOT able to resize it on its own.  IF this happens, you must manually use a partitioning tool to resize it yourself.
    ---------------------------------
3: use a different approach to upgrade:
Windows Update is the simpler, but less reliable, way to do the upgrade from Win10.  A much better and more reliable way is to use Microsoft Media creation tool: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/media-creation-tool-install?ocid=ms_wol_win10 choose the upgrade this option now PC.

After all this, you know that MS install drivers with only the most basic features.  Given that HP does not have drivers for your PC Win10, this limited functionality is the best you're going to get.  HP does not actively write new drivers from Win10 for the old PC Win7.  To keep all the features of your PC, your best shot is NOT to upgrade to Win10.
    ---------------------------------
    4: be prepared to clean-install:
If you do all this, and after the upgrade, your PC works partially, this means that the upgrade is not well and stuff is still there the previous OS corrupt the functionality of Win10.

You MIGHT be able to solve the problem in fact a clean install of Win10. Problem is that, often, a clean-install does not recognize prior activation, even if it should. So, before doing the upgrade, follow these instructions on the community forums Win10 on creating a genuineticket.xml file: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/23354-clean-install-windows-10-directly-without-having-upgrade-first.html

You need more later to activate your pc Win10 after the installation of clean.

    -----------------------------------------------

    Good luck
