Upgrading HP 6510 CPU of T7100(1.8ghz) to T8300(2.4ghz) or T9300(2.5ghz) b

I need to upgrade the CPU on my 6510 b and want to know if it is a relatively simple exercise, swap processors, or if more is involved and needs a "expert" installation Will be the new processor automatically felt. The latest version of the bios installed (F15)

Any advise would be a huge help.

Sean aka Mancsaint

6510 E b is a laptop. This means that you posted this in the wrong secition.

t is not the same as the upgrade of processor in a desktop due to the difficuly involved in opening a laptop without damaging it.

Who would make the necessary competence 'expert '. Unless you are with this fee, I would recommend that you buy the CPU and have a mobile shop to exchange for you.

The Intel Core 2 Duo T8300 - 2.40 GHz (Penryn - 3 m, 800 MHz front side bus, 3 MB level 2 cache) and an Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 - 2.50 GHz (Penryn, at 800 MHz front side bus, 6 MB level 2 cache) will work. They are listed as options of CPU in PartSurfer.

Your OS will recognize the CPU without skipping a beat.

  • Satellite Pro C850 - 1 H 8 - upgrade the BIOS CPU support

    Hi there are people.

I'm wandering if there is a possibility of upgrade of the i5 3230 m which is currently in my Satellite Pro C850 - 1 H 8.

Looking at the options available in the decision-making FCPGA988 and chipset Intel HM70 there seems to be a variety of the i7 available for use.

The laptop supports processors with a TDP plu max than 35w?
The bios supports all the CPU upgrade options?

    Cheers, Nick

In this forum, you will find various discussions on the theme of CPU upgrade.
    I found this one:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=75073

Paolo and Macius posted some information about the situation of CPU upgrade.
As you can read in another thread, the CPU upgrade isn't supported. Updates can be made at your own risk, and no one can say if CPU supported by the chipset would be supported by the BIOS.
Test it if you want, but it's at your own risk.

  • Equium L20-197: to upgrade RAM and CPU

    Hello
I recently bought a l20 - 197 and if im happy of all, what I want to do is upgrade the ram and processor. Ive found a supplier for ram (www.crucial.com), even if I need some details on the processor that it taken and if it can actually be upgraded.
    Thank you!

    Hello

Before I try to give you some info on the upgrade, I want to just comment on your ad. Satellite L20 is actually a unit of budget and doesn t expensive. Now, you want to invest enough money in the hardware upgrade. It's not really illogical. Why you didn t get more information and bought the best unit as Satellite M40 or same M70. For a 300 or 400 dollars more, you can have a superior unit.

Sorry, but the best idea is to sell your one and buy another unit. This is my honest opinion on this subject.

Now something about your questions: essentially upgrading the CPU is not possible due to the permanent connection method. The processors used in laptops are connected to the motherboard using a process called TCP (tape carrier package).

RAM upgrade is possible and meaningful. Your device has 512 MB of Ram in one slot and unit can handle with 2 GB max.

    Good bye

Any suggestions how much performance increase if you upgrade hard drive 5400 RPM to 7200 RPM with 8 MB of cache?

    Thank you

    Hello

The CPU cannot be replaced. But you can expand the memory with the modules:
    PA3499U - 1 M 25 (Kit of memory 256 Mo DDR2-667)
    PA3511U - 1 M 51 (Kit of memory 512 MB DDR2-667)

    PA3513U-1M2G(DDR2-667 2GB Memory Kit)

    DDR2-533 256 MB (PA3389U - 2M 25)
    512 MB DDR2-533 PA3412U - 2 M (51)
    1 GB OF DDR2-533 (PA3411U-2M1G)

The maximum memory that you can use this camera is 4 GB.

  • Can I upgrade my GPU / CPU?

Hi, I was interested by the upgrade of my GPU or CPU and I just want to know if it is possible, before I open my laptop. The chips are soldered to the motherboard? Or would it be a simple and in the upgrade. Thank you.

PS: If someone could also mention support of the GPU and CPU to my motherboard it would be great.

    My laptop:

    HP Pavilion DV6-3010us

    Windows 7 64 bit

Processor Dual-Core AMD Turion (TM) II 520 (2 CPUs), ~2.3GHz

AMD M880G with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250

    Hello

For the CPU, please see this manual, it shows you all the CPUS supported the day 1:

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c02659236.PDF

For the GPU: I think just forget, buy a new computer is a lot cheaper because you learn from each of them, including the motherboard and may end up a dead computer.

    Kind regards.

  • Satellite L30 - 10Y - upgrade successful but CPU fan is running

    Hi ppl,
This post is more than a FYI post.

I gave myself a defective Aspire 5610 and decided to whip the CPU out of it and put it in my Toshiba Satellite L30 and it works! CPU of the Satellite is a series of Intel Celeron M @ 1.87 Ghz, while the Acer processor is an Intel T2300 Centrino Duo 1.66 GHz. So my Satellite is now slightly faster, but added to it's 2 GB of RAM and a hard drive upgraded to 320 GB under Windows 7 Ultimate. While its still not a game machine, it creaks all the numbers that I throw at it!
    Hope this helps someone.

I noticed that the fan runs almost constantly, suggestions?

    Concerning
    Markkyboy

    Hey,.

Thanks for this very interesting article! It of Nice to hear this new CPU works fine, but I have to say there is no guarantee for this, but you have chance ;)
Update CPU's official not taken in charge, but in some cases, it may work, depending on the motherboard, BIOS and CPU.

In any case, I think the fan runs almost constantly because the newer and more powerful CPU producing much more heat and it must be cooled cooling system that is designed for your older CPU.
All you can do is to clean the cooling system, but I think you have already done this during the exchange of CPU and use of grease thermal correct amount.

  • HP Pavilion 11 x 360: the upgrade of processor/CPU

I was wondering is it possible for me to upgrade the CPU on my laptop? I have currently Intel Celeron CPU N2840 @ 2.16 GHz ram size: 4 GB. I want to upgade it for Intel core i3 or i5, is this possible?

Not N Celeron processors are soldered to the motherboard, so there is no way to remove it and replace it with another processor. It would be possible to Exchange in an i3 or i5 based motherboard, but the cost will make economically ill-advised. Cheaper to sell your laptop and buy a new one.

  • The upgrade of my CPU and RAM

    Dear Sir.

    Hardware Abstraction LayerVersion = "6.1.7600.16385".

Physical memory (RAM) installed 6,00 GB.

Card mother HP has 144, 65,38

What is the best and optimal upgrade is possible. I need more CPU power and more memory for my data mining research project.

Thanks a lot for your help.

    Kind regards

Probably, you don't realize the difficulty and costs involved with your laptop CPU upgrade. If your program is saturate an i5 2.53 GHz processor, you can do the work on a newer desktop with a Quad Core i7 CPU. The other 2 GB of RAM might help a little, but it looks like you need a boost in computing power and you have not only any significant margin on this machine. It's a first i5 of gen which cannot be upgraded to a newer version. I7 Quad Cores on this series of model use a different motherboard that two hearts. The best dual core processor is:

    Processor Intel Core i5 - 580 M to 2.66 GHz, turbo up to 3.33 GHz, Dual 35 W SC

Not a big improvement over what you have

  • Windows Update in Win7 stuck halfway on the upgrade Win10 & consumes CPU

Windows Update has been the consumption of 50% of my CPU stable for the past months. He started right around when upgrading Windows 10 has been downloaded on my computer, but I had not yet installed (download was unintentional). I thought it would end when I've finally updated for Windows 10 a few weeks ago, but to make a long story short, 10 Windows eventually cause an infinite restart loop and I had to enter in the boot menu and go back to Windows 7.

Now back in Windows 7, 50% of my CPU is again consumed on a daily basis. Windows Update function tells me "your upgrade to Windows 10 is ready" and asks me to restart, but restarting does nothing. I can't check the updates either, because "a previous installation must be carried out."

Is it possible to interrupt the Windows 10 half-installed upgrading? Hard for me to imagine it is nothing else, but open to ideas. My only solution was to stop the service, WU, who immediately soothes my CPU, but it restarts after a few hours and I want not updated of future security, so it is not desirable or sustainable.

Thanks in advance for any help!

The big question is Win10 or any part of his installation actually start?

If the restoration does not correct the problem, you may face a complete reinstallation of Windows 7.

    Try these things.

    Click on the starting planet

    type in there services

    Click on Services

find Windows Update in the list

Right-click on it and select stop

    Second thing:

Download and install the GWXControl Panel.

When was the last time empty you your temp folder or refreshed your swap file?

You run the sfc/scannow command. (System File Checker) lately?

    Temp folder

Type %tmp% in the start search box and press the Enter key to call the temp folder.

Select and delete any folder that you can.

It will do nothing harmful to your operating system.

The folders and files in the temp/tmp folder are only temporary files and folders created during internet browsing or during the installation of programs.

    Refresh the page file

Control Panel--> select and advanced system then Control Panel (see the image below)

Now, select performance--> parameters as in the image below

    Now select the Advanced tab

In the virtual memory select change

Now. Select the custom size and mention it says Windows is recommended to both the initial size and maximum size. Click Set and then OK. Your PC will restart and booot in Windows. You should notice faster response time.  Never forget all other disks hard (this PC a lot).

Those are the standard settings for your high spec standard but surprisingly slow PC.
