  Try to use Microsoft Fix it Wizard, available at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971187. The wizard updates the Windows registry so that you can uninstall previous versions of the program, usually install or update to the current version successfully.

• Bought LR 6 upgrade from Adobe. Serial number not valid.

  I have installed on my Mac LR5. I just purchased the upgrade LR6 on Adobe.com and downloaded the installer. Adobe e-mail me S/N, which is also provided in my history of online downloads.

  You can try this option.

  If you are on a mac, then go to this location path

  1 - click Finder.

  2 - click on Go

  3 - Click on go to folder

  Type 4 "/ private/etc" gone and press on enter

  5. you will get a hosts file

  6. open this file in Notepad

  Check is there any file entry begins with 127.0.0.1 activate adobe com

  Drag the hosts file of the etc on the desktop folder, and then open the hosts of the desktop file

  Remove all the entries starting with 127.0.0

  Now, save this file and then move this hosts file in the etc folder again and replace it with the old hosts file

  and now try to reinstall the software.

  I don't know if it will work, but the CS2 activation servers have been shut down. You can recharge CS2 following the instructions on this link, so maybe try to install your upgrade.

  If you have purchased CS6 since January this year CS3 is not eligible for the upgrade version.  It was earlier than January, but not after.

  It is matter of Toshiba and I can imagine that there is a problem with their database.
  In any case, I don't see any problem there. At the bottom of your laptop you can find the model number and it must be xxxxxxx PSLS9E I think that this first part of the model number is so important to you.

  This will help you find the right drivers on Toshiba support page.
  Serial number is not so important. The only thing you can do with it is to check the State of the laptop computer and the details under http://www.toshiba-tro.de/unitdetails

  My old LaserJet 1000 still works perfectly and I would like to download drivers for use with a new laptop using Windows 8.1 but when I go to the HP site and enter the serial number from the bottom of the printer (CNCR followed of a 6 digit number) I get a message saying that this number is incorrect.   According to this document the LaserJet 1000 model is not supported in Windows 8.1

  Educational license purchased after my trial completed/expired. I can connect to my cloud adobe online account. I can't activate my license and I keep getting a message "Unable to validate the serial number," what serial number has been received from Adobe via email post purchase.
