  I configured several WLC before but I am new to the 2100 series. I'm a bit confused in the way that the function 8 ports. I have the following configuration:

  2 AP (1131AG)

  3 clients (wired)

  The five connected to WLC on ports 8,7,6,5,4

  WLC 1 port is connected to a switch 24 ports, not Cisco, so no CDP of information available (May) that matter.

  The entire network should be a Vlan untagged. It's also the way I handled the basic configuration. Int AP + int MGM is the two untagged port configured on 1.

  So I would like to than the 8 ports to operate as an "extension" of the switch 24 ports. But for some reason it has no possible traffic between wired clients + ap on the WLC and the rest of the network.

  Both parties can ping the AP int + int MGM of the WLC.

  DHCP proxy works as well, the AP get their IP address, the wired client are not.

  As soon as the AP is trying to solve CISCO-CAPWAP - CONTROLLER.domain.local, it fails, when connected to the switch 24 ports, he succeeds, because the DNS server is on this side.

  Am I missing something here?

  Update: WLC runs the last 7

  The port on the 2106 are designed to support AP connections or an uplink to a switch.  They will not work with the PC connected to them.

  I'm not an expert on the management of versions, but here are some basic in response details

  4.2.207 is the last version on the Train of 4.2 and is without doubt an excellent choice

  If you want, for instance, AP1 to broadcast the SSID, 1, 3 and 5.  AP2 to broadcast the SSID 2, etc.

  If this is the case, then AP groups is the way to go.

  No, as far as I know it of not possible to use a port on laptops Satellite Pro Replicator.
  All laptops that support the Port Replicator has a port extension at the bottom of the unit.
  To my knowledge, the Satellite Pro series don t have this port.
  For now only the Tecra and some units Protégé(ie: S100) supports this feature.
