• USB keys - problem with the Recovery Manager

  I bought a 16GB Kingston DataTraveler 112 USB key so I could copy the recovery as a backup image. He acknowledged the USB key and showed that the recovery image has been slightly more than 11 GB. But when he started to format the USB key, it returns to the previous screen and asking more of the car. At the bottom of the screen, he said to contact the HP Support, but it gives me an error message. Now when I try the Recovery Manager it does not recognize the USB at all.

  Before that, I had bought another 16 GB USB - don't remember what brand. I have 5 other USB drives, but they are all small, except a 32 GB Kingston DT101 G2 which does not work on this computer, even if it worked on my old computer (Pavilion w/Vista Home Premium) without problem. All these USBs, including the new Kingston are for USB 2.0.

  Operating system is Windows 8.1 64-bit on the desktop HP Pavilion 500 - A60. I tried the problem that USB keys in all 4 ports (2.0 and 3.0). Also in that I plug into a port to give me 3 USB ports, also used on my previous computer.

  Is it possible that this computer does not recognize Kingston or some other brands of USB thumb drives?

  The trick to this is to use a USB 2.0 port and use a non-windows 8 certified thumbdrive. If the USB flash drive shows as a 'removable device' there should be no problem in the use of the media to create a recovery media

  I had a lot of success with a 16 GB Transcend USB 3.0 flash drive.

  I own a couple of DataTraveler flash drives and had the same lack of success, creation of recovery media that you did. I have had zero success with 3.0 of Sandisk Extreme usb flash drives

  Since I installed OSx El Capitan, I had intermittent problems with the USB ports to connect to my HP LaserJet printer. I first thought that the older printer was not compatible with the new OSx software, so I've just upgraded to a new HP LaserJet Pro 400 M451dw. same results and the computer is not even connect to the printer. The number of post detailing a similar problem, I would hope that apple now had a fix for this problem...

• Using the data logged in an interface with the aggragate function

  I'm trying to use logged data from a source table in one of my interfaces in ODI. The problem is that one of the mappings on the columns target implies a function (sum) overall. When I run the interface, I get an error saying not "a group by expression. I checked the code and found that the columns jrn_subscriber, jrn_flag, and jrn_date are included in the select statement, but not in the group by statement (the statement group contains only remiaining two columns of the target table).
  
  Is there a way to get around this? I have to manually change the km? If so how would I go to do it?
  
  Also I'm using Oracle GoldenGate JKM (OGG oracle for oracle).

  This problem can occur on any platform.
  Symptoms
  After successfully testing UI integration ODI using a function of aggregation such as MIN, MAX, SUM, it is necessary to implement change using tables of Journalized Data Capture operations.

  However, during the execution of the integration Interface to retrieve only records from Journalized, has problems to step load module loading knowledge data and the following message appears in the log of ODI:

  ORA-00979: not a GROUP BY expression
  Cause
  Using the two CDC - logging and functions of aggregation gives rise to complex problems.
  Solution

  Technically, there is a work around for this problem (see below).
  WARNING: Problem of engineers Oracle a severe cautioned that such a type of establishment may give results that are not what could be expected. This is related to how ODI logging is applied in the form of specific logging tables. In this case, the aggregate function works only on the subset that is stored (referenced) in the table of logging and on completeness of the Source table.

  (b) define the two connections to the database so that separate and distinct references to the Interface of two integration server Data Sources (one for the newspaper, one of the other Tables). In this case, the aggregate function will be executed on the schema of the Source.

  I have windows 7, Member of the domain, we created the policy in the domain controller to restrict any USB storage device and it works well.

  My problem is: when I install ZTE MF190 Dongle (USB Modem Stick) first time as administrator it work well, but when restart windows and switch the usb modem, connect as user limited to work, it has not detected (Modem USB Stick) in windows and I found in the "USB mass storage" Device Manager with yellow mark and tied to the usb modem.

  My question is: how except "USB mass storage" which associated (Modem USB Stick) of limited strategy of USB storage for the usb modem work.

  Note: I've updated "USB mass storage" windows with compatible driver (USB composite device), the modem worked, but when restart it windows that the same problem with "USB mass storage" brand yellow and usb modem not detected again in windows.

• How is it that I can ping between ESXi vmkernel interfaces with the sizes of package exceeding the value set in my passage upstream and one located in my vmkernel port group itself?

  2 guests ESXi 5.5 wired, build 1331820, put each host computer network is managed by a single port dual qlogic 8150 ANC

  When I connect to my windows VM to check my new 10 GB connectivity (it is configured for jumbo mtu = 9000 frames) and ping-l 8190 against ESXi vmkernel interface that was MTU of 1500, I get an answer without any packet loss... How can it be if the port is configured for only 1500 MTU?  I thought that the two vmkernel port group and vswitch properties must have 9000 mtu defined, it appears that the vswitch properties override the port group properties.

  But I know I must be missing something, a few important concepts, somewhere, because when I connect to ESXi via ssh I can ping devices with values greater than 8190 and not just windows virtual machines that reside on the same host where the ping uses the internal bus, but I am referring to the connections of the host of other ESXi on the switch management.

  In summary - how the VMkernel does ping and response to pings of bigger sizes greater than the value of the switch upstream?   and why do ping with large packets get answers when the vmkernel port group is always set at 1500, is this a bug or is this feature obsolete?   I remember specifically in ESXi5 that I had to configure the vmkernel port group and the vswitch for this property to work.

  Unless you specify "Don ' t fragment" (-f for Windows) you will be able to use any size package successfully.

  We have a requirement where we need to use a human task BPEL with multiple owners for the task. I was looking at the WFTASK table and found that OWNERUSER column that is used to store the task owner is only 400 characters and it seems that it can store a user or group at a time.

  You should be able to define multiple users/groups/application roles. The default delimiter is a comma (,).

• Want to 750 - xt 550 (CTO): Desktop problems Bang and Olufsen Sound of 750 - xt HP Envy with the brand-new office

  I bought a new system and it arrived yesterday, in the introduction, I have a 5.1 speakers Creative Labs system (which worked perfectly in my previous HP media center PC) I'm connected (using the catch green, black and Orange on the back of the system).  Using the Bang and Olufsen 'test' feature, I hear from "front speakers' (green connector), the Center and the subwoofer (Orange wire) no sound from the surround speakers (black wire).  The sound is HORRIBLE, roaring, low volume, just horrible.

  If I pass the black cable (surround) at the entrance to white (side speakers) I can hear the sound on the 5 speakers, it's always horrible and very, very disappointing!  I spent over 4 hours on the phone last night with HP Support who told me, in conclusion, that my system does not support sound 5.1, I will be able to use Stero (i.e., the Green connector).  My number is 3023344605, the discussion was just a mess.

  Can somone suggest please how can I get my sound working properly?

• Is a database table that is required for the temporary interfaces with the data flat file source?

  People, this is the situation I ODI 11.1.1.7

  1. I have an interface temporary (yellow), called MJ_TEMP_INT, which uses data from TWO sets of data from the source in a temporary target (TEMP_TARG). Wrestling is a shot of a data set from a table while the other set of data extracted from a flat file.  A union is made on data sets.
  2. I then create another interface, called MJ_INT, which uses the MJ_TEMP_INT as the source and the target is a real database. table called "REAL_TARGET".

  Two questions:

  1. When I run my second interface (MJ_INT), I get a message "ORA-00942: table or view does not exist" because it is looking for a real TEMP_TARG db table. Why I have to have one? because I am pulling a flat file?
  2. On my second interface (MJ_INT) when I look at the interface of my source MJ_TEMP_INT (yellow) property sheet, the box 'Use the temporary interface as a Derived table' is DISABLED.  Why? Is also because my temporary interface is pulling from a flat file?

  I am attaching a file that shows a screenshot of my studio ODI.

  Furthermore, IF my temporary source interface has only a single set of data by pulling from a database. Table to table in a temporary target, called MJ_TEMP2_TARG, and then when I use this temporary interface as a source to the other another real db. target table (REAL2_TARGET), THEN everything works.  ODI requires me to have a real database. Table MJ_TEMP2_TARG and the checkbox for "interface temporary use as a Derived table" is NOT DISABLED and my REAL2_TARGET table gets filled.

  You quite rightly assume the reasons that you have questions is because you try to attach a file. A file I always have to be materialized in the transit zone, as a temporary table and then have the data loaded in it.
