  Hi - I have a new Blackberry Curve 8900, which is loaded with contacts. I backed up the files on the handheld PC via Desktop Manager 4.7.

  How can I read/use the Contacts on my PC at home? Can I open the file with DM4.7? If not can I fill out an address book in Outlook Express? I don't want to "sync" my address book Outlook Express this with BB contacts. I wish I had the contacts of BB as a stand-alone resource on my PC. I think that I could create a new (empty) address book in Outlook Express, but I can't understand how to transfer from your cell phone to the PC.

  Yes, you can use Outlook Express (and I'm not very familiar with OE), but yes as you can.

  Understand how to create the second profile of OE, as in OE.

  Then using BlackBerry Desktop Manager, click SYNC and open it. In the clock > configuration you can find options to set the program in which the sync function connects... together this and you will be ready to go.

  You can connect the Priv a PC with the cable to access as a drive, especially for access to the SD card?   I had assumed would be immediate, easy, but the laptop does just not see it connected...?

  Finally, I can get it to connect, but better as "Mount SD card", do not use Android file transfer.

  Certainly, there are only going to transfer different files Android app link provided in the MTP option in the phone under settings, buffer, top right options - USB connection to the computer, I had to kind of work, but I think it's a one-way arrangement therefore does not allow fiddling with files or data on the SD card.

  With the option of mounting SD, its worth knowing that the phone is not yet recognized, you need to pass options while its connected, so when switching back to Mount SD, it appears suddenly!

  I managed to move some files autour, and if I drop in the DCIM folder, Camera leader, they then appear within the app Photos, without the need to got to the unit records.

  Is worth knowing when you're connected, more, but not all of them simply disappear with the handset, but all are in their proper place, moved or otherwise, 30 seconds or more after the disconnection.

  Question NEXT, related to this, but could start anew thread; In my photos, I always kept a photograph or a scan of my passport, driving licence and stuff, amazing how much it is useful.  Priv does not read this map file, even if its same region in Photos.  The Passport can be pdf, is it possible to move files between the laptop and Priv autour so that it can read the docs and other things or is it possible to create a file on the SD card where the docs can be submitted and read by the priv...?  Indeed, where are the docs on Priv?  Ive schedules of my son on the map, but they do not seem to appear anywhere in the private and they are the .docx files.

  I've had a few cases where the torch would not connect to the computer. I did a restart of the computer, and it was going well after. It is important that the desktop software manager is updated.

  After the re-definition of the computer, try a different USB port if there is still no communication. Also, try a different cable USB Blackberry. I had once a Blackberry USB cable go bad on me causing a lack of response.

  Using the Desktop Manager, why does take so long to transfer these files? I did 8 photographs today, and it took an hour to download from the phone to the computer! This is ridiculous. is there a better way? And no, this isn't my computer because any other transfer of my other devices operation takes normal time.  This makes it almost not even worth using the camera phone.  Any suggestions?  I also just email myself to my phone, but it takes too long.

  You have turned on the support of mass storage card?

  1. go to Options > memory

  2. check the following parameters (if they are that way, then changes according to the following:)

  (a) media card Support: on

  [b] mass storage Mode Support: on

  (c) auto Enable mass storage: Yes

  3. save the settings and exit

  Now, connect the device via USB to your PC and your media card (and image files) must appear as e drive letter, f or g to the title of "My Computer"

  The transfer should be quick.

  I have an iMac 2009 with an Intel Core 2 Duo 3.06 GHZ and 4 GB of memory.  I went to Mt. Lion El Capitan (it took 26 hours) and in a first time had trouble even finding my 20 000 photos.  A call to Apple support found hidden away but now when I try to upload pictures from my Canon 70 d and G7X only some pictures appear on the computer and the rest of the screen shows the contours of the boxes.  When I try to download even these pictures the computer says that they are trying to download, but they are not.  Any help would be appreciated because I don't have much computer knowledge (63 years old and still learning!).  If I need of more memory and my poor old computer just can't handle more pictures?

  If the photos transferred correctly in the crush, now, they should be about 2GB microSD memory card that you have correctly installed in the crush, not permanent internal phone memory.

  No USB cable yet to connect.

  Check with this menu path:

  • Settings > memory > card memory > Pictures, y at - it something in this directory?
  • If so, you are ready to connect the USB cable to the computer and transfer the pictures from the memory card from the phone to the computer.
  • You can copy and paste or use the mouse to drag and drop in the directory you want the photos in.

  See page 47 of the steps 1-5 manual overwrite for further advice...

  I have a lot of contacts in my Treo650. I would like to export these to the address book of my Mac to switch to an iphone. There was no information on Palm contacts right on Palm addresses. Even if I sync my Treo with the pal Office successfully, there are 0 addresses on Palm desktop to export even though I have hundreds of contacts? I don't see a way to convert contacts to Plam desktop addresses. I could not find contacts on Palm desktop. I would appreciate your help. Jpertsch

  When the Palm Desktop window opens on the computer, in the upper R corner is an option for 'user '. Don't forget to specify yourself as the user! The default user is not automatically you. Once I made a selection of the user all contacts were there in the address section ready to be exported as a vCard to the Office so that I can then import in Mac "address book".

  I called Palm support 1-877-426-3777. Since I had a support Sprint Treo is in a Sprint. To directly call the Sprint: 800-974-2221 I stumbled on the issue of the 'user' waiting to phone support.

  Very well. So I don't have a data plan on my blackberry, so no not web email, I use it strictly for telephone calls, text messaging and taking pictures.   Which works best?  Another option is to get the CD that came with your phone and install the original version (assuming you still have it).

  If you are referring to the [email protected] email account, you can access on a PC or anywhere other than on the device BlackBerry itself (which is one of the reasons why I often tell users not to use these e-mail accounts - get a Gmail or Yahoo account).

  BUT there is no command 'move' on my BB, so I can't move the photos from the memory of the device to the media card.  I can, however, move them individually. Needless to say, there are 100 pictures, which will have for ages.  Is there another method?

  Yes, this is what he means.  It is at the same time.

  The best thing to do in the future is to get a camera configuration always save the photos to the media card / media card.  The photos on the memory device, if ever, the device is corrupted or fails you will lose all your photos.
