I'm having the same error as many others on this forum re: error message suddenly appears saying that the printhead is missing or defective. I followed all steps suggested HP, i.e., unplug the unit, check the ink cartridges, etc.. None of them has nothing to fix or cross the same question. My printer is about 2 years, so more under warranty.  There is no explanation for the cleaning of the printheads on the 6700 and other products do not translate to the 6700.  I watched about 1/4 on the blog, some at the beginning and at the end and that you won't lose my pages in all 12 looking for time to dissatisfied customers.

And I just bought and installed new ink cartridges that are not cheap.  What a waste...

Please let me know what I can do would be much less $ than buying a new printer, because it surely won't be a HP.   This is a problem for years and always HP chose not to solve.  they would rather you buy another HP throw.  Good luck!

I got a call, what was missing Monday, about this incident.  The HP person said they'd call yesterday, they, or they leave a callback number, it's the only way I can answer.  Pls call me on my cell phone, or leave a number that I can reach you.  Thank you.  Dan

    The display screen says FW-FDP1CN1502AR

I think I've identified the problem. I understand that many people have had this or a similar problem after I replaced the cyan cartridge. It seems that at the spring or anything that holds the cartridge in place releases and the cartridge comes out to disconnect his chip of the print head and snap the cartridge missing error. I discovered this after bumping the printer, almost at the same time the error appeared, I opened the door of the printer and discovered that the cyan cartridge was not "suspended."

I gave in and so far, it has worked, so I'll keep an eye on it. I had no other cartridge do that perhaps sa is a defect in the section with the printhead cyan cartridge. I've marked this as resolved in the hope that it may help someone with this problem.

  • error printhead missing or defective

Windows 7 with x HP 6100.  No change, but suddenly he stopped with a misprint of the message "print head seems to be missing, not detected, incorrectly installed, or incompatible.  I cleaned and aligned the print heads, and two perfectly printed reports.  Printhead Health Watch "bad."  Does not print anything.  Tried the HP troubleshooting and all he did was disconnect and reconnect the printer.  It did not work.  The following solution proposed by HP had to take the printer to be repaired.  Is there anything else I could try, or do I just take somewhere (where I know not-BestBuy?) to have served.  Also, I can just buy a new printer.  HELP please... Ron...

    Hi @hp6100e

HP has not authorized service centers. You could take it to a MOM and pop shop in your area, maybe Google search "printer repair.  Personally, I would like to remind HP and as if they had some kind of business in the trade options. Perhaps, they might offer you a discount on another printer. If you are in the Canada, U.S. dial 800-474-6836 or you can Contact HP worldwide.

    I hope this helps.

  • HP Officejet Pro e-all-in-8610: HP Officejet Pro 8610 - error Code: "0xc19a0013" (printhead missing or failed)

I bought the printer (e-all-in-one printer HP Officejet Pro 8610) in January 2015.  The printer was working properly - fax, copy and scan, until two days ago.  Now, it doesn't print at all.  Received an error code: "0xc19a0013" (missing or does not have the print head).  An expanded version of the error code reads: "the print head seems to be missing, not detected, or incorrectly installed.  Error: 0xc19a0013.   The printer uses a removable printhead, HP Ink cartridges (black) 950 and 951 (cmy).  I used the diagnosis of HP support recommendations: all software and firmware for this printer is installed. HP ink cartridges are not low or empty; remove the printhead ink cartridges and reinstall them.

There are several steps in the recommendation of troubleshooting, but I stopped to lift the printhead.  Because of my technical inexperience, and there were too many ceveats (attention, attention, proper relocation and etc..)  with the removal of the print head which could cause problems more serious.  Then, I stopped to remove and clean the print head.  Also, used the doctor to Scan printer HP for assistance. Tool to clean the printhead does not.   What worries me most with the 0xc19a0013 error code is his explanation: the print head seems to be missing, not detected, or incorrectly installed.  I can use all the help I can get to understand what is happening with the error code that I received and the resolution of the printer malfunction.

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8610: How can I find the address to return a defective printer?

More than a year ago, we had a HP OfficeJet Pro 8610 replaced due to a defective unit Telec.

For some reason, we were never able to send the a faulty back to HP, probably because we never received details on places where to send it to...

We have a case number, but nobody has never detailed how and where send us the defective device to?

Can someone point me in the right direction?

    Thank you

HP will usually send a return label prepaid with the replacement unit, so all you have to do is put the old unit in a box and send it back to HP.

HP usually ask also a number of credit card for security and will charge you for the new unit if you do not send the replacement within 30 days.

There are also cases where HP will review the old trash of machine and just ask recycle you, but it should have been paperwork indicating that with the replacement.

I had a few cases where HP has delivered something for me where they want to go back to the old or machine and in almost all cases about three days later, they called to see if I had been there.

Keep in mind, that I do not work for HP, but I worked with HP hardware for some time now and I think that if you had it for more than a year that she does not need to be returned and can be eliminated.

If you wish to contact HP, then you look at the support page for your machine and then look for a contact link so you could send them a message and the reference number and ask if you can dispose of the machine.

If HP wants to come back, they should send you a prepaid return label, they can do it by e-mail.

    • Order of pages
    • Resizing options, including the page scaling in percent or adjust.
    • County of copy (with Assembly option)
    • Image mirror (for printing T-Shirt transfer or stickers)
    • Watermarks
    • Tip of color (the color, Saturation and brightness, the individual sliders for CMYK tone)
    • Overspray
    • Drying time

The Deskjet 6980 driver can be installed as follows (the instructions are for Windows 7, other versions would be similar): file devices and printers, click with the right button on the Officejet 8600, select Advanced, new driver, Next, properties of the printer, Windows Update, wait a while for the page to refresh, and then select the driver HP Deskjet 6980 (HP), OK.  It may be desirable to change the name back to Officejet Pro 8610: right click on the printer, the printer, the general properties, type the name of the desired printer, apply.  While, it may be necessary to activate the duplexer: click the device settings tab, set the duplex unit installed, apply, OK.

Install another printer driver will have no effect on scanning applications.

I think it's related to distinctive ring setting. Have you tried to put the distinctive ring for all the rings feature and see if the printer can automatically respond?

If you are using distinctive ring service, please refer to the user manual on the distinctive ring setting.

If you don't use a distinctive ring service, make sure that the Distinctive Ring

function of the printer is set to all rings.

    Hope this can help.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8610: Printer paper mangles

I bought a HP Officejet Pro 8610 a few months ago to use mainly for scanning and copying for a home business.  I could not get the printer to print a sheet of paper without deformation of paper and printing things on an angle.  I use paper nine of a ream of fees.  I tried to reload the paper, using less paper in the tray, using more paper in the tray, etc.  My main Canon printer has recently died, and now I have to be able to print business documents and controls on my HP printer.  Any suggestions?

    Belle is not usable equal

The HP 8610 can care for the moisture content of the paper, or maybe the printer doesn't like the weight of the paper you are trying to use.  This is the simpler, more straightforward answer.

Assuming that you selected correctly before the type of media in the printing preferences for the printer knows what kind of paper to expect and how to react - the printer is maybe not able to manage this particular test.  If this is the case, and regardless of the perception of the quality of the paper, there is no way to force the printer to accept this document.  It is not a question of "bad paper" - it is a question of how the printer sensors respond to the book.

Beautiful paper is not always equal paper which is printed on each printer.  HP printers are not the only picky ones in the world.  All printers of high quality can respond to the report in this way.  You don't have to use paper HP, is told by the way.   Try different papers.  Place this paper somewhere cool and dry to store and try again later.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Printing preferences

If you have not already done so, you can set the media type in printing preferences.

Setting the media Type tells the printer what kind of paper be expected; the printer sets the reels and the spring tension to pull the paper into the printer correctly.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8610: Printing on HP Officejet Pro 8610 doesn't give any form printing

    Hello

I'm trying to help a client to their printing problems.

They have a Windows Server 2008 R2 Foundation install, they are trying to print from. The printer appears to have been installed properly and had been using the steps described in this article: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03351547

The issue, is that even when to print a test page, the page of the coils in the window "See what's printing" and disappears, as if she had been sent to the printer. No page out of the printer.

I restarted the server several times.

I can ping the IP address of the printer, and I can also access the page via Chrome.

The Officejet works with their computer Windows 7, which are on the same network.

    Am I missing something?

I was able to solve this problem by following the steps described in this article: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printing-Issues-Troubleshooting/No-print-from-Windows-7-Desktop-and-Officejet-Pro-8610/m-p/5120498/highlight/true

  • Print reverse Officejet Pro 8610

I print on an Officejet Pro 8610 ((Windows7 64-bit) and it prints in reverse order.)

I have hunted everywhere and cannot for the life of me find out how to stop printing in reverse order. What Miss me?

    Help please!

Hmm... I just downloaded and installed the Officejet Pro 8610 driver for Windows 7 x 64 system and I can confirm that it has no order of pages option.

You can install another driver which would be compatible with the 8610, but offers more options.  I suggest the driver Deskjet 6980, which can be installed as follows: click on start, devices and printers, click with the right button on the Officejet Pro 8610, properties of the printer, Advenced, new driver, Next, Windows Update, (wait a few minutes to appear in the update list), select HP (Hewlett-Packard) for the manufacturer, then HP Deskjet 6980 series (HP) , Next, Finish, general, Type a new name for the printer - it will be changed for HP Deskjet 6980, you probably want to go back to HP Officejet 8610, apply, OK.

Order of pages can now be set in the Advanced tab.
