  3. Did you test functionality of the hardware (made copies) and they work successfully?
  4. Have you tried printing from different programs?
  5. Show all programs the same exact error?
  6. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software (important)?
  7. If you are using Windows, run the print and Scan Doctor and understand the results.
  8. Is the printer plugged directly into the wall (avoiding bars and surge arresters)?
  9. Have you completed all the updates of Windows/Mac OS?
  10. Have you tried using a different USB/Ethernet cable?

  I have a Laserjet 1606dn which is connected by Ethernet to my router. I can print to it from an office which is also connected by Ethernet to the router. I try to print from a laptop that is connected wirelessly to the router.  The laptop, I see the page Web server on the printer successfully. |' ve added the printer by using the parameters of Windows 10 / Add a device, and he says he's ready. When I try to print from the laptop, he gets stuck in the print queue and says Attention required without any explanation as to what is needed.   Check to see which port was assigned to the printer.

  Printers and devices, right click on your printer and on the left, click printer properties.

  Click the Ports tab.

  If the printer is selected on the WSD port, try and create a new port by clicking the add a Port. You might have one in the list for TCP/IP for your name of the printer, if you just select and apply the settings.

  We have more than a notch for checking on the Ports tab, uncheck SNMP enabled state.

  

   

  Then click OK and apply.

  Try to print from the laptop.

  If you still encounter problems printing, download and run the print and Scan Doctor, he will diagnose the problem and could solve it automatically.

  We passed one of our sites from 3.5 to 4 last week. We had planned for 1 hour of downtime, and in the end, there were about the same downtime as a reboot. There should be minimum downtime for your virtual machine, if you want to be upgrading the current hosts using the same hardware, you can put all your guests on a single host... upgraded to another, and then add the virtual machine to the new inventory of the hosts.   They just got a letter saying to upgrade to OCP 11 g or 12 c from March 1, 2016 to remain active.

  Certification renewal requirement is not at all associated with specialist certificates.  They expire or affect the OCA, OCP, OCÉ, CMO certifications.  OCS is almost a separate accreditation program managed by a different group within Oracle.

  You should try to uninstall applications you do not use and move files you use for example videos, photos on an external hard drive, you could do temporarily, then restore them after the installation of Windows 7.

  March 1, 2016 is the date of retirement for someone whose most recent certification is for Oracle 10 g (https://blogs.oracle.com/certification/entry/1060_07).

  That said, the expression "have until the" is misleading because it implies a do-or-die time. If one of your colleagues with Oracle 10g DBA proof should take the exam 1Z0-050 June 1, 2016, it would simply mean that their 10 g certification has been idle for the period of April 1 to June 1.  Once reactivated, it would be absolutely no difference between their credentials and someone who has passed the exam 1Z0-050 on February 1, 2016.

• TouchSmart 15-j040us - cannot download required driver upgrade to 8.1 Windows

  I have a computer laptop 15-j040us Touchsmart is now a little older than a year (now out of warranty). My laptop has been asked to upgrade to Windows 8.1 since the first week or two after that I bought the new system.

  The update downloads very well and starts installation but fails every time when it tries to install different devices. At this point, the screen turns black, the laptop restarts and I get an error message saying that update did not work and that the system has been restored to its previous state.

  After working through to HP technical support, including sending the laptop to them to reimage, I am still unable to run the update, which means that my laptop is unable to run the applications and programs HP indicating that my laptop is ready to operate.

  I'm pretty confident that the problem is the Nvidia video driver. The version currently supported (version 9.xxx) of the driver is not compatible with 8.1. HP has a listed driver which is compatible with 8.1 (version 10.x.x.x), but I can't download it until my laptop is running 8.1. NVIDIA has released the site a driver that is compatible with both OS, but I can't seem to download it and install it so that I can perform the update.

  Can someone help me understand how to download the Nvidia driver so that I can perform this update?

  SOLUTION! I've updated my laptop for Windows 8.1!

  I confirmed that it was indeed a problem with the graphics driver Intel HD4000. After going to the site of Intel support for help, they showed a way to manually install the driver that I needed, even if it was not validated by HP.

  For others with the same question:

  1. go on Intel "Driver Update Utility". I leave automatically detect my hardware and used their suggested graphics driver. Otherwise, find the right driver for me Win64_153322.

  2. download the .zip, NOT the free installation package file and save it to your desktop for easy access.

  3 extract the .zip file, so you can access the files inside.

  4. go to the Device Manager, expand "graphics cards", right-click on "Intel HD4000" and click "Update Driver Software".

  5. Select ' Browse my computer for driver software

  6. choose "Let Me pick from a list of drivers on my computer".

  7. Select 'Have disk' and in the box that appears, select Browse

  8. go on the desktop, find the files extracted (for me, it was labeled Win64_153322), select "Graphics".

  9 select the file titled "igdlh64.inf".

  10. click on open

  Now the driver will install what should be version 10, instead of the version of HP 9.

  Once installed the new driver, download update Windows 8.1 since the Windows Store, let not install.

  Now that we have confirmed that it is a driver problem, maybe HP can make it easier on everyone and another not quite if tech saavy and update the driver here. Thank you for your help @Advance23, maybe you can transfer this to the people necessary to get a fix in place.
