  The ncGetHardwareInfo.vi with the attribute set to "Serial number" should do the trick (use the desired USB interface and port number 1 as inputs).

  I have a new project that is to contact a product incorporating the LIN bus. I need to create a program that sends data to the product and receives the response. I thought to use the cable USB LIN or (USB-8476) to perform this function. I've not found a good explanation or examples on the use of this cable and the API that I used. Is there someone who has tested such things? Can you help me to clarify ideas (examples, API, document).

  For CVI examples that use a LINEN I would recommend navigation examples C:\Users\Public\Documents\National Instruments\NI-CAN\Examples\Borland C\LIN.  Note that this the the installation location on my Windows 7 computer.  It may be in a different location on XP.

  For documentation on the API and implementation of FLAX, I would recommend looking at the user manual CAN which you can access here.

  You cannot specify your own, but if your slave is waiting for improved, you can send classic (or vice versa) and it will be incorrect.

  Hello, I'm looking to do a LIN communication using the USB-8476 module. I use examples in VB .NET (header frame LIN Master Send and Receive) I get repeatable the error response 84 0 1 6 0 0 A, from the manual NOR I know this error means "FLAX not bus error no response" using an another factory module of LINEN that I receive the appropriate response. I put my baud rate to 9600 in MAX as well as in the application using the ncSetAttributes function. I don't know what I'm on.

• Problem with sending of master header with XNET API instead of CAN frame API

  I am using the XNET API to switch Master slave with LIN Protocol task. Since I have no prior experience, there is something problem as the Interface of the NI USB-8476 s cannot be detected. Gifts of windows prompted the following information:

  Dummy me, know that the XNET API still do not support the NI USB-8476 s, which I am applying.

  Kind of hard to use the API NEITHER of MAY to get the feature I need, that seems easy to get with the XNET API.

  Yes - the NI USB-8476 and NI PCI-8516 offers use internally the classic checksum for the frame IDs diagnosis according to the LIN specification, regardless of the configuration for the other ID.

  I use USB-8476 to communicate to a slave in a LIN network. Can someone tell me how I can send a header file more 1 byte of data to the slave in a LIN network.

  I need to send a sync + id 00 X 34 break, followed by a byte of data. I don't know how a master can send this extra 1 byte of data. I need to send this command to the LED and byte 1 to control the level of illumination of the LED lights.

  Hi, when I bought my mbp 13 inches mid2012 (used, not new) I noticed that a USB port did not work. In the Yosemite sometimes I noticed that a USB port consumed too much energy and have been disabled. (I think because the usb port has been short-circuited. Year when it was time to update the mbp to El Capitan I had a few panic the kernel and the newspaper was shown as the last driver loaded the USB driver, so I kept the mbp with Yosemite. A few days ago, I updated for Sierra but only usb which used to work stopped working. It has enabled and turned on but Finder and disk utility does not see the drive. In an Apple dealer they said that could be established relationships with some oxide and next week will take it and see what the problem is.

  If there is someone with the same problems, please tell me what to do! I don't want to put in the trash my mac just for a flash drive... but I need!

  Thank you for using communities of Apple Support. Based on what you said, it appears as a USB device is not recognized in one of the USB ports. There are a few things that can cause this. I recommend you read these articles, which may be able to help solve the problem.

  It is most likely a software conflict. Note the time at which audio is running out. Open the Console and look for accidents or mistakes at this time.

  The reason why it crashes on a mac, but not the others most likely is related to differences in software installed. Run Etrecheck on touch mac and post the report here.

• Crash when disconnecting USB connected to the Steinberg UR-22

  Updated for Sierra recently.

  When I unplug my Steinberg UR-22 by the USB port, the operating system crashes instantly and restarts.  EVERY TIME.

  I plug/unplug often and have never had this problem until the Sierra.  I use my Air for labor and for the game, so he forces me to move to and from the Office to Home Office... or around the House.

  The Yamaha Steinberg USB driver only supports OS X 10.9, 10.10 and 10.11. You need to ask Steinberg support if or when they intend to support macOS Sierra 10.12.
