Usb drive data recovery software

Suggest me a data recovery software that can help me get my files lost from my USB. Cheap and best is my expectation!

Try these, they are free:

http://www.SnapFiles.com/get/Recuva.html

Recuva is a file undeletion tool that allows you to analyze your hard drives or media cards for files that have been deleted or formatted. It presents you a list of files that have been found, as well as an assessment of their potential for recovery, a preview option, and a hex viewer to inspect the content. You can limit your search to files of a certain type (e.g. images, audio etc.) and choose between a quick and a thorough analysis approach. The program also includes a secure deletion option that allows you to permanently delete files that were found while parsing, to avoid any future recoveries.

If you are talking about undelete programs, car brands, or
anything else, which is better is a matter of taste. You will get different

If you can recover data from a damaged disc depends on what the
the damage. But in general you can not. In most cases, your only recourse
is to bring or send the drive to a professional file recovery company.
This kind of service is very expensive and may or may not work your

  • Satellite A100 - hard drive data recovery

    Hello

I recently tried to help a friend for his Toshiba Satellite A100 data recovery, died on this screen.
I thought this would be a task simply remove the hard drive and put a HARD drive caddy and attaching it to another computer.

    This doesn't seem to work.
Can I put the hard drive in the computer and I can hear start the computer to the top and was able to see it with a LCD display. I was able to delete the data in this way, so we're safe.

My question is why do we seem to remove the disc and see on another computer?
I guess it must be an interface or format the laptop can be used for the recovery section and cannot therefore be seen as a normal drive.

If I could not delete the data because say the motherboard is dead. Is it possible to be able to see the data on another computer.

    > My question is why do we seem to remove the disc and see on another computer?

Of course you can do if you want to use a symbol external USB SATA controller (external HARD drive) you should be able to connect to another computer.
But if the HARD drive is faulty, it will not work.

  • Advice needed on the laptop hard drive data recovery.

    Hello

I was wondering if someone could provide some advice on the recovery of data from an ACER laptop which was held in Microsoft Vista?

The laptop broke due to the 'PIN' inside the power supply's cable breaking. PC World said that it would cost hundreds of pounds to repair.

I have some important files saved on the drive hard (backup files conveniently failed too!) and I'd like back them.

What are my options? Should I seek professional IT useful to do? Or I can try to get files back myself? I currently have a Toshiba laptop that works under XP.

    Hello Chris,

I by removing the hard drive and put it in a USB enclosure. There are 2 types of one HD is IDE the other is SATA. You can buy one from Newegg.com for less than $ 15. You may need to take possession of the disc and its files if you do this. Here are the steps: to take ownership of a file or a folder how to appropriate a file you must have owner of a protected file to access. If another user has restricted access and you are the computer administrator, you can access the file to appropriate.

To take ownership of a file, follow these steps:

    1. Right click on the file that you want to take control and then click Properties.
    2. Click on the Security tab, and then click OK in the security message (if one appears).
    3. Click Advanced, and then click the owner tab.
    4. In the name list, click administrator, or click the Administrators group, and then click OK.
The administrator or the Administrators group now owns the file.

To change the permissions on the file that you now own, follow these steps:

    1. Click on Add.
    2. In the list enter the object names to select (examples) , type the user or group account that you want to have access to the file. For example, type administrator.
    3. Click OK.
    4. In the group or user names list, click the account you want, and then select the check boxes of the permissions you want to assign to this user.
    5. When you're done to assign permissions, click OK.
    6. You can now access the file.

How to capture a record you must have ownership of a protected folder to access. If another user has restricted access and you are the computer administrator, you can access the folder by taking possession.

To take ownership of a folder, follow these steps:

    1. Right click on the folder that you want to take control and then click Properties.
    2. Click on the Security tab, and then click OK in the security message (if one appears).
    3. Click Advanced, and then click the owner tab.
    4. In the name list, click your user name, click administrator if you are logged in as administrator, or click the Administrators group. If you want to take ownership of the contents of the folder, select the check box Replace owner of subcontainers and objects .
    5. Click OKand then click Yes when you receive the following message is displayed:
You are not allowed to read the contents of directory folder name. Do you want to replace the the directory permissions with permissions granting you full control?

All permissions will be replaced if you click Yes. Note folder_name is the name of the folder you want to take charge.

    6. Click OK, and then reapply the permissions and security settings that you want for the folder and its contents.

Let us know whether, if that helps you. Make it a great day!

  • Installed hard drives data recovery serial

As many other users on these boards, by X 205 won't start.

My question: How can I recover the data on my hard drive, since there are two of them?

I ran a search to find all the files I wanted (*.jpg in this case) and the search came back with hundreds of files (pictures) that I'm trying to recover... but it wont let me open them.
I guess because the disks are installed in this machine series, somehow, I need to find a way to read them both to access these files?

    Any help is appreciated!

Remove each disk of the machine, connect using 2.5 SATA box at the other PC as external device and you should have access to all stored data.

  • Hard drive data recovery/transfer

I have a couple of different desktop computers HP Pavilion running Microsoft XP. The oldest machine motherboard has failed, and I added the hard drive of this computer to my another computer as a slave drive, so that I could transfer all files on the computer. • How can I recover my original data files on my 8 GB USB Drive, I used to run Ready Boost.

My laptop has Vista Home Premium.
Using the option "speed up my system" when I logged on my 8 GB Transcend USB, I've probably activated Ready Boost.
The USB was about 3.7 GB of data valuable personal (user - excel, word, jpg etc. files) also, but they are not visible or accessible more.
However, the USB shows through properties, 3.70 GB of used space.
Even after going to Option, properties of the removable disk, ReadyBoost, do not use this device, I'm not able to recover my original files.
    Help, please.

You can try to recover the data with data recovery software. If this does not work, the only other option is to send the drive to a professional data, which is quite expensive recovery company. Only you can decide how your "valuable personal data" are interesting. And it's one of the reasons why we do not use USB thumb as succession only permanent drives.

    Data recovery software:

    R - Studio - http://www.r-tt.com/
    Recuva - http://www.piriform.com/recuva

Professional data recovery - I use Drive Savers for my clients, but there are others. General prices run $500-$ 3 700 with an average of about $2,700. I understand that some insurance companies now cover the cost data recovery so check with your insurer.

  • Help to remove the partition on a hard drive and data recovery

I have two hard drives in my PC, the C: drive is 80 GB, and the F: drive is 120 GB.  The second drive (120 GB) is divided into two partitions.  I just deleted the partitions and makes the hard drive again in a single disc, however I had some important files on the F: drive that I thought I had copied to the C: drive but they are not there.  Is there anyway that is using the software I can return the drive to two drives and recover my data, please help

    Hello

First of all, do not use the hard drive. This can make things sunk. A few things may already be unrecoverable. I would even delete the drive letter to stop inadvertently automated processes to use.

There are two ways I can think of.

    1. buy a partitioning software disk that supports the undelete partition. On windows XP PartitionMagic was a very good product if symantec will still sell it. Given that Symantec has continued to develop, I had to switch to product partition Paragon. Sound was trash to some things, cloning in particular a double boot with loads of partitions - it has an undelete function which I didn't use. The fact that you have created a new partition could mean that the restoration may not work. You may need to delete the current, probably empty, partition everything first and then perform the restoration.

    2. buy a data recovery software that will scan the hard drives, including the unpartitioned space. I chose R-Studio and it was very good stuff even recovery from hard drives that fail. It was not 100% effective, but it is perhaps down to the severity of failure rather than the product. In situations like yours, it was very effective.

Please mark this as useful or response if applicable.

  • Data Recovery HP once recovery

I moved my 'once' HP on a USB key and on an external HARD drive data recovery. Is there a way to make these bootable data again?

    Thank you

    Hi there @Brotocol,

Thank you for joining the Forums HP's Support and welcome! It is a great place to ask questions, find solutions and get help from others in the community! I read your post on the Forums of HP Support. I wanted to join you and help! I understand that you had the recovery of data on a USB key, put it on another hard drive and you want to know if you can take on this hard drive again.

Due to software licenses, only a set of recovery disks can be created. This means that you could have done a copy USB or CD/DVD of it only. There is no way for you to get off the other hard drive to use it now.

You will need toget a USB HP recovery disc or HP recovery disks. Please follow the provided document and follow the steps to order recovery media if you need.

Please let me know if I answered your question by clicking the "Thumbs up" if the troubleshooting in this post steps solves the problem for you please click on the button "Accept as Solution" . This will allow to the others is that present the same problem a solution also. If you need assistance, please let me know to publish again. Could you please include your model number (How can I find my model number or product number?) also?

    Thank you!

    Have a great day!

  • Installation location of data recovery

This seems to be a stupid question, but data recovery software VMWare (not the device component) is supposed to be installed on the VCenter server or a host computer that you use to connect to VCenter with the VSphere client?  I guess that's the VCenter server, but I keep seeing people talk about using data without VCenter recovery so it looks that it can be installed on a client that connects to the VCenter server via the VSphere client.

    Thank you... Rich.

    Hello

Yes, it's a client plugin that can be installed on any machine where you make the VI client sessions to your server host or vCenter.
