  Your model has USB ports 1.0 and if the old USB drive works but other USB devices are not that what would they need to a USB 2.0 port. The basis of xb3000 will support your DV8-1093 in terms of power.

  I have a TouchSmart tm2-1070, which was very good for me.

  About 2 months ago the built-in wireless stopped working, and so I ended up finding a USB wireless modem. Then, each week, each of the three USB ports no longer works... first the two on the right, then the left one.  I tried to update the drivers (say they are updated). Types of technology at my work say it's a hardware problem, but I don't buy it.
